Comments from my previous Trance upload got me to reminiscing...
Wouldn't be right to not fire up the nostalgia train, once again. All the way back to '93! Choo chooo, let's go!
..Smoking in the club! The times seemed almost innocent, the music was epic, the memories are wild. I hope the video conjures up the same emotion for you, as it did for me in editing. Crazy. I should have scaled the clips larger, or even had them blown full screen. And to jack with the footage of me mixing ... Lots of decisions to make post mix. Can't be played in the U.S.A/Canada - was worried I'd get further copyright holds, to be honest.
It's a mini VJ mix playing on the music videos that were around when these tracks had radio play. Blast from the past music vids which I've tried to best edit to sync with the mix - most aren't long enough to run in real time so what better than to add some messy 90's club footage of ravers living their best lives - Legends, all of them.
Hope you enjoy the moments - the real life footage begins, sporadically, a few mixes in. Was at times hard to eek out videos to fill the club mix track lengths, I've extended and manipulated versions to correspond with the full mix. Some aren't entirely original, but close enough 🤏🏻

  • Thought I'd pin a thank you for everybody showing appreciation for the mix/video - hadn't realised people were still so up for the classic Trance... The video edits took me way back. The response... reminding me of how epic the scene was! 🙏 Loving everybody’s thoughts and feelings for this upload.     • In 95 I was 15 years old but in 2000 I was 20 and I went to the clubs to dance to the sounds of Tiesto, Mat Darey, Johan Gielen, Paul Van Dkyke, Oakenfold, Ferry Corsten, Armin Van Buuren etc.

    • I always say I'm so happy to have lived a life clubbing and listening to trance before phones and social media. I discovered it when I was around 11/12. Started hitting the clubs at 14 and travelled all around the country and to others to follow trace DJs. I'm 38 now and still have a love for it. I only go to about 1 gig a year. Its not like it used to be!

  • A little journey back to my youth. Back then, DJs still played vinyl-records. That was really good sound / music. Not like today, with usb stick and micro. Thanks for this great mix - will be added to my collection 👍

    • @@karras3593 ok, but......the feelings :) (I had dictaphone/fm radio/tape recorder machine for my 8 birthday in 1993. It costs just 50,- US cents (10,- kč in my country) because it was broken - it makes creaking sound every few seconds in every record which i made. But i loved that so much because i could record the music i loved. With this creaky sound.....but the feelings :)!!)

    • The media has nothing to do with the quality of a set. Also, the vinyl here is timecode, controlling video tracks, so it's all digital except for the controls.
