The making of this video:
1. I edited Moby's New Dawn Fades by professionally removing the vocal track with audio software.
2. I used Camtasia 7 video software to grab some of the best action scenes from the movie.
3. I tweeked the sound track by adding heavier bass, and cleaned up the guitar solo's for a really crisp sound.

This is simply and purely everything that Miami Vice never could be for Michael Mann. Even with my 75" 4K QLED and 7.1 channel SS I know I missed out at not getting to view this Masterpiece in the big screen format. I have requested, to the companies that bring the movie classics back for short runs, that this movie be run as part of their package... I forget the name of the company, if interested in adding your voice to what should be a chorus, let me know and I will find the name for anyone interested...

The truck smashing into the armoured car, the shootout, obviously and the planes at the end. STILL the greatest film i have EVER seen. Oh! Duh! I almost forgot, YES i would love to see this on the big screen again, whenever this fucking pandemic ends, of course and YES, i would like the name of that company.....

This movie just adds to the repertoire of the New York-accented badassery that is Robert DeNiro. Pacino did a great job as well, as did Val Kilmer and Tom Sizemore. But every time I watch this movie, I watch it because of DeNiro.

What a star studded line up. But De Niro steals the show for me on this one. His facial expressions, his aura, his movement. He truly portrays a ruthless criminal in the most perfect way imaginable. Val Kilmer is underrated in this film aswell, his performance was sensational in the shootout scene, it literally has you on the edge of your feet and he makes you feel as if you are there with him. And Al Pacino, well what more can be said about him. He works so well with De Niro, the combination of the two is perfect. An all time classic film.

For any one interested Heat is Michael Mann's remake of his 1989 film L.A Takedown. The dialogue is same in both films at times. Although L.A Takedown is good it's nothing compared to Heat. Heat is one of my favourite films.

Heat is and will always be my greatest loved film along with a group of others. At the opposite spectrum to Heat, I love Midnight Run dearly. Visually stunning with 2 of the greatest together at last. Their co-actors do a great part in lifting the film to its legendary status.

Moby is a great artist, an incredible compouser and of course his voice is not his strongest skill. This is an example of that. He clearly fail on this one, because this song is so powerfull that it doesnt need any lyrics.
Just recently watched the Heat again so I ended up here. I agree, it's a great tune, but Moby didn't compose it (already stated by user above): the original is by Joy Division. But I like Moby's version much better and it complements the scene in the movie so well.
Didn’t really think much of this movie for a whole, until I watched it. No movie, and I mean no other fucking movie had made me go “wow” at the end, and sit in utter silence at just how damn good this movie was made. Perfect blend of reality with movie drama and cliches. Felt like watching a real bank robbery with cameras everywhere. Like the North Hollywood one that took place in the last 30 years I think. I love this movie, I’ve got it up there with Casino, GoodFellas, Irishman, the ones that really struck deep into everyone. This movie deserves 100x the recognition it’s given. At the end when Vincent and Neil fight it out, where De-Niro ends up with a torso full of lead, after Pacino unloads into him, the respect they showed in each other as enemies on common ground with that locked hands moment amazed me. Knowing neither one of them wanted to kill each other, but it was do or die. Last man standing. Fuck I love Heat.

I love this movie, always have. Have to say though, watching it as a mature adult, those cops in the bank heist shootout are terrible people. The cars the robbers take cover behind are in an active street, which means they are occupied by innocent people, yet the police unload on the cars without any hesitation.
Just like real cops.
