Now this is what we're talking about! 1000-1800hp cars racing up to 200mph on the streets of Oklahoma - it doesn't get much better than this! The 405 is notorious for Street Outlaws style racing, but this time we took to the highways for some INTENSE roll racing. The Calvo Performance Vipers stole the show, going undefeated against ANYTHING that pulled up next to them. Big thanks to Calvo and everyone who gave us a ride!

  • The yellow Viper's fire was extinguished with the bottles you see being sprayed at the end of that clip, luckily there were only a few burned up wires and melted plastic pieces - everyone with the fire extinguishers saved the car from major damage, thank you guys!

  • The guy on the bike is the kind of person I appreciate. $1k on the line, lost every race and goes to the other guy and says "no you got it." Instead of blaming the "flagger" then continues to be friendly.

    • Eye of the needle Tight tunnel vision, and every movement comes down to a decision being made in a split second between life and nothingness. The adrenaline rush is by far the best you'll ever feel though. So I guess the question is, you willing to sacrifice fear and possible instant death for the most fun you'll have in your life?

    • I've never owned vehicles like these, but I've done over 140 on a Yamaha Vmax and in a Trans Am, and I found it more frightening in the Trans Am. The feeling of two tons moving that fast with you makes it scarier, IMO. The bike felt lighter and more capable. I'm sure the feeling changes when the horsepower numbers go into the stratosphere as with these cars and bikes.

    • @@montedavis2040 oh definitely. I've had exactly one actual drag car and said ehhhhh I'll stick to street cars lol. Something about 2000hp in a car going almost 200 in the quarter is absolutely terrifying. Especially if you gut the car... you hear every little noise its a lil freaky.

    • I've found personally once you get over like 110mph-ish, it just kinda blurs & slows down. You have to focus so much further away & ahead of you, that things don't seem to move quite as fast as if you looked straight down or right off to the shoulder. I remember going 140+mph in my friends car was waaaaay more sketchy & eventful than going 158mph on my 05' R6. That was borderline comfortable, and felt like it had plenty more & wanted to just keep going. It's crazy how fast some sport bikes are off the factory floor today.

    • 300+ wheel power. That's about the limit of the S/C 1L Kawasaki. Going up from there, is turbocharged built Busas and ZX-12R and K5 GSX-R1000. Traction is a real issue.

    • @@nawrfsideshawty Certainly. From what I've heard, the ZX-14 is easier to boost than the R model. But, the older K5 1L Gixxer has been a popular choice for boosters as well. kzhead.info/sun/jb2gkZyqh6aZoYk/bejne.html But these are very tame bikes compared to well tuned turbo drag bikes, and the Hayabusa engine is the king for durability and ease of tuning.     • Prob because all the other vipers had twin turbos and this one probably had a procharger AND nitrous. I think the secret is already out on Gen V Vipers. TT is the way to go.

Almost ever other car there probably would've walked that 1086 viper. So yes, it is indeed fast. But in comparison to most of those cars, it's a turtle.
