So many K modifiers are lazy about correcting that rear frame drop-off angle, glad you guys were thorough. Yours is an interesting approach, I also like Revel Customs approach.

Excellent! My main criticism would be that the dirt shield for the rear wheel sits a bit small. It maybe possible for mud/water/dirt/gravel to be kicked up and over and onto the engine. Causing you to have to clean the bike more often.
You can be right. I haven't ridden it in the rain so I haven't had a problem with anything but dust yet. In this aspect, I focused more on appearance than usefulness. In the previous project it wasn't there at all;)
I can guarantee that is the case, happens to me and my café racer in the rain, even gets to my helmet when going fast lmao

I have a k100 16v. Want to do similar with mine. This one looks like they used showa inverted forks in place of the front suspension. I desire a front bullet type cafe fairing like on the older Ducati.

Nice build, I’m just about to do a munit conversion on my 95 k1100rs build. I’ve done loads of research but no one mentions what they have done with wiring in the air temp sensor and the gearbox. Could you guys shed some light on that?
Sorry for late answer. Air temp sensor is connected to one of stainless steel intake manifold. From gearbox i only took Neutral signal. But as far as i know you can use some signal converter and have gears indicator on accessory gauges.

Can you explain what you did to make the individual air intakes work? I assume you are using a 4 valve but I've been trying to figure out how others have made this work.

If you don’t mind me asking, where’d you buy the new wheels? I’m not big on the stock design/colors and have been struggling to find the right wheel sizes and bolt patterns with cool spike designs lol. Everything I’m seeing is mesh wheels which I’m not huge on personally
Front wheel is from Yamaha R1 (comes with front suspension) , and rear is from K1200LT with right spacer. All powder coated in selected RAL color.
@@EGT_Garage_ What is the "right spacer"? I'm thinking of the same switch myself. Do you maybe have one to sell? And also, do you know if I could use a similar wheel from R1150? Or that's too different from what K1100 needs?
@@vaikohansson Yes, you can use wheel from k1150. When you remove wheel from your k1100 you should have spacer under it (search for oem number 36311451791) if you want to fit wheel from k1150 your bike you need second same spacer.

I brought it from cafe4racer.eu. It fits for original frame shape.

No, i never used accessories crank sensor, original always works perfectly. Why are you using it?

Do you think a BMW K100 or K1100 is a good beginner bike to learn with?
Yes, both of them are good bikes to work with. Solid materials, rust proof. Good quality of electric wiring. K100 have MAF sensor which is harder to deal with and it's older so usually will be in worst condition than K1100.

@@nicksmith3178 gear indicator sensor, it's quite easy to bring Neutral signal but you will need extra gear indicator system to make it works with aftermarket gauges.
how fast usually this type of bike can go?
I have pretty short gearbox. Tech data say it should go 215kmph but it's more about 200.

Sad to see one of the finest Mc being converted to a toy. A lot of money and work to no use. My 1100LT is still going strong. Correct maintenance and it runs forever. Heavy and old, yes makes it no big target for thieves. How about a this Mc?

G'day. I changed the motorcycle with 10-year-old tires, broken meters, unregulated valves, cracked plastics and broken abs for something that may please the eye for a while. Have a good day!
