I have. It's actually a lot better than KZhead and even if you prefer KZhead, it's good to have competition
Great insights. Funny for me as a Dutch person is that we do have institutions where you can go anonymously to test your drugs. For example if a Dutch person would want to test what chems are in his/her xtc, he can just go to a special institute and test one of the pills. He/she can get the results and just check if it's save. The funny part is that possession of drugs is illegal, taking it isn't.
There's a lab in the US you can send a sample anonymously & the results are posted online, it costs about $100 to have a substance tested
@@brianjansen3103 Damn, much cheaper to test your drugs yourself
That's pretty much the case anywhere. I don't even know a law that punishes having ingested a substance.
Bla bla bla. Nobody who uses sends it up. They use it. Have you ever actually met a user that send it to this special lab? Nope.

Each to their own, but cokehead behaviour is a term that exists for a solid reason. There's a stark difference between recreation and addiction, and it's very easy to slip into addiction.

Yeah I agree, they are kinda downplaying how easy it is to get addicted to these drugs and turn into a different person. they are more so talking about the outliers or what I like to call “weekend warriors” yes, there are some people “some” that can do cocaine once a month and not be addicted but the majority of people will become addicted.
He is correct. This drug is like alcohol in a lot of ways. There are folks that should not do alcohol and there are folks that should not do cocaine. I have done cocaine off and on for 44 years with not major consequences. The last time I used it was 11 months ago. It is not something i wish to do everyday or a few times a week like alcohol. I do it when it is convenient and when it is available in high quality. I'm sure there are many folks like me, but due to the stigma, we don't shout about it. The Dr is correct.
I agree with u
I completely agree and as a former cokehead I have to say that this doctor here might be functioning but he's still a total addict. It's plainly obvious and almost embarrassing, I'm amazed Joe had him on.
When Joe said the paranoia scared him I feel that. Reason I stopped smoking. I truly believe it helps a lot of folks but for me it all of the sudden turned into a 2nd voice in my head ( no not literally ) but my own self showing me a list of things I’ve done wrong. Heart beating fast, anxiety, feeling like a pos, having a sense of doom. But maybe that’s the key. Maybe if I slowly adjust the things I feel are broken and use it to help, it is almost a look from the outside in
If you have to come up with these sorts of justifications you should probably listen to your gut and avoid it all together brother.
Yeah everyone has a different reaction to weed. Me personally I get extremely paranoid and I don’t like the feeling and it actually triggers my asthma.
so the reason you stopped smoking was because the voice in your head confronted you about your own issues in life and you were like nah im good lol
Yup. That's why I enjoy cocaine better. I cannot handle the doom and paranoia.
That's me now on it so I stopped.

This is very different from the "don't do drugs" lectures I grew up with 🤔
For me it was "say no to drugs"
Growing up in the 00's. For us it was: "drugs are very bad"; cut to: showing a picture of a crooked crack-head without teeth and underwear; cut to: their age and rapsheet. Job done. We tried cannabis five years later either ways, which a lot of teens do. We didn't love it. And now, if we use it, we use it in moderation. Still have all our teeth and underwear on.
Buddy don’t listen to rumours, go experience it and decide yourself
Don't do drugs if you can't afford to use drugs often.. good rule of thumb.. poor drug users destroyed the drug trade for everyone.. but they already have tiny drones that deliver drugs to usa.. and there is no way that can change.. a bug net to Mars won't stop the new technology to get away with selling drugs..

It’s true what he says. Most people that do drugs still function just fine. When you lose your grip on life for a moment the drugs can create a cushioned warm place to fall into. It’s not easy getting back up and struggle to hold on again when you could just rest in this warm embrace. That’s when you atrophy. You get so used to to not having to hold on anymore and the strength you developed slips away. Now you can’t hold on and you’re dependent on what’s holding you up to survive. The drugs.
I spoke to a goat farmer in Turkey and had a smoke with him while I was explaining to him about my paranoia he said to me that cannabis was judge and jury and shows you the way to become a more compassionate person who thinks about their actions before doing them.

I think the problem with substances of any type is people's lack of self control.
That becomes a problem because these substances can literally change neural pathways in the brain. Where you once had discipline... you now can't tell yourself "No". This is how powerful addiction is. It completely takes over. The "choice" of whether to participate or not is virtually removed. Imagine this... what level of discipline would you need to tell yourself to stop breathing? Its possible in principle but impossible in practice. You'd always gasp for air at the last second... This is what real addiction is like for a lot of people. For a lot of people... drugs are their air.
I 100% agree especially stimulates people who don’t have self control stay up for days and induces them into pychosis shit reeks havoc on your body when abused for a long time but in moderation you’ll be fine
@@daddymcawesome363 Go do a moderate amount of cocaine or heroin everyday for 6 months then tell me if you still think its a discipline or self control problem....
As Dr Gabor Mate, an addiction and trauma specialist says, it's not the drug in itself that's addictive, it's the trauma inside, the emotions you are trying to bury. Anything can be addictive. Exercise, food, working too much, collecting things, spending money. Anything to put you outside yourself and bury emotions. Many people eat everyday and don't get addicted. Many people exercise and don't get addicted to it, just like many people smoke cannabis and do not get addicted, etc

Being a recovering addict of 12 years myself i can tell you that there are many people who lose control as soon as this drug inters there system, this is why NA programs and many doctors call addiction a disease. I do agree that we should be able to put anything we want in our bodies and better support systems instead of locking them up.
Drug addiction being a "disease" as in something you have no control over is nonsense propaganda made up by AA and NA to make people religious. I'm an ex-addict and i was shocked by the garbage they spout in NA and AA, basically telling people they're weak and powerless victims of an uncontrollable disease that is out to get them at any moment and that the only way they can recover is to accept a "higher power". It was incredibly sad seeing people who had been sober for decades and they still went to NA every single day, probably because they've been convinced that they're weak and they're going to immediately fail and relapse if they stop going. And i'm not surprised if they really feel like hopeless addicts if they spend every day talking about how hopelessly addicted they are and how every day is a struggle, even after being sober for years. They're never going to recover and get over it if they wallow in it every single day instead of finding something else to think about. Many addicts have experienced so much shit and struggle that they're probably stronger people mentally than the average person, so they should be taught that they're not powerless, and that they are in control and they're the only ones who can change their lives for the better, not some mystical higher power or some borderline cult organization like NA.
Your anecdote means nothing. This man is a neuropharmacologist who administers the purest form of this drug to thousands of people and studies the results under controlled circumstances.
@@paleemperor5379 wow, that hit close to home, i was never addicted but i used, but i can relate to the idea that people that have been through a lot are actually stronger than people that never had to test their will power, some losses teach you more than always winning ever could, i made changes to my life and now i am healthier than before i dabbled in drugs and alcohol
@ProfX the point I’m making is that the Carl Hart is a doctor who administers drugs under controlled settings and understands the effects that it has on the brain. Under controlled settings you are able to control the variables. The person who wrote the comment isn’t qualified to speak on it. He’s merely giving an anecdote. What he was taking was not under controlled settings, he has no idea what adulterants where in his supply and he has no idea what the variables were which led to his 12 year addiction. That’s the main difference.
NA is a fuckin joke. With their goddamn woo woo religious bullshit, tryna convince you that you’re to weak to overcome this “disease” it’s sickening. Not even to mention.. Very small percentage of people who actually do drugs end up a statistic.. so many people you would never imagine be OTS all day every day. Some people are motivated and respectable others are POS.. with or without drugs
Its funny how I don't get that much paranoia when I'm high. But what I do get is my mind being overly critical of my choices to the point that I start questioning the things that I'm doing that might be wrong and that might be stopping me from being a better person

So I just watched the whole podcast on Spotify, I agree with many of this guys ideas including legalisation, testing, harm reduction but he just doesn’t want to go there when it comes to drugs causing addiction or damage, his side step regarding what Jordan Peterson went through says it all, in response to the question what do you think about the horrible experience Peterson had coming off benzos his reply was “ why did he stop” erm cause he fucking wanted to dude!!! He never once mentioned the neurological aspect to cocaine or heroin addiction and just blamed it all on people’s stuff, I’ve tried both and the first thing that goes through your mind is “more” your brain wants more and yeah if you have shit going on then you probably are more likely to do more but some of these drugs are physically addictive and it seems he has a real blind spot there
My thoughts exactly, he’s either never felt withdrawal like most people have, or he’s just for some reason able to tolerate it or is just super disciplined and always does the right thing and keeps it in moderation. Very fascinating podcast I loved it.

Look if you don't do the shit 3r4 days in a row you'll never become addicted bit if you do it everyday for a week r month yea you will be the thing you need to remember with the hard shit is moderation if not you get what you get pretty simple really
This is very *close* to being correct. It was Angelo Mariani who fortified wine with coca EXTRACT, which means all the vitamins and other positive nutrients the plant has to offer were still in the drink - a HUGE distinction from cocaine-hydrochloride which is merely the active molecule! The same can be said for Coca-Cola which was never "spiked" with cocaine. Yes, we are never exposed or told about the positive side of the drug which was used for countless centuries by the people of South America to prevent altitude sickness and work for days or even weeks without other sustenance! The problem(s) began when our government banned the drug in "any and all forms," because then it was only available in the molecular form which is highly concentrated for the purpose of smuggling. An inconvenient truth for U.S. policy is that coca, in its natural state, is no more harmful than coffee or tea! Caffeine and cocaine are both stimulants for the central nervous system, but one is administered through the stomach, the other through the mucus membrane, or inhalation when smoked. If caffeine were made illegal, and it nearly was, it too would also be a highly addictive 'street drug' which causes psychoses for the users. Another consideration - the U.S. "war on drugs" policy has utterly destroyed South American culture to the point where people are fleeing their home-lands for the n (perceived) relative safety of the U.S. I believe that if coca had never been outlawed, we wouldn't have the problems with boarder policies we face today because people would be content in the relative safety of the lands they were born in. (BTW, coca was also being successfully used as a means to quit using nicotine and/or alcohol, which then becomes market protection for those drugs which also have ZERO medicinal value, but people are 'free' to consume at-will without fear of imprisonment!)
Dope interview
I’ve got a nephew hooked on heroin ,.. I cry my eyes out al least a couple times a week
😢 Prayers/hopes for your nephew to beat his addiction. This interview is wild and it’s not the good kinda wild.
The worst thing is when someone finds something that makes them feel better then anything else in the world and there life revolves around it. I think the point that this guy is wanting to get across is that when this does happen to people we need to be able to give them something that isn’t killing them and the drugs itself is not what kills.
I have uncle hooked on alcohol 🍸....any difference??? One the govt tells u is ok - ones not !!! Its bs
Take him some where out of town set up a padded cell get your family involved and have a toilet water source and a space in the door for food etc he will go through total hell on earth but he will NOT die after a few days it will get way better I did that with my sister here in Australia they will plead beg promise and say anything to get out and get the drug but as hard as it is pay no attention to it.
Doctor's have a life saving Suboxone program that helped a loved one of mine get off of Heroin.
While enjoying his significant other under the influence of cocaine I imagine he dresses up like Rick James.
The test dr.hart was referring to where addicts can test a small amount, they have that at the opioid centers here in British Columbia.
Great Interview!!
"Sherlock Holmes did coke and he ain't so stupid" 😂
So did Sigmund Freud
@@atmosrepair he almost killed someone because of it
Best podcast he has done to date. I highly recommend listening to the full video. Its so informative I listened twice
This guy is a hero. Nothing better than going to Vegas with your homies and an ounce of good coke. Why should that be illegal? There is absolutely no reason.
👆sure plug to get good stuffs from…dude sells and ships to any location 💯 legit check him out!
My experience doing cocaine, has been that I am far more interested in talking with people, getting to know them better, and enjoying myself. Alcohol, I can tend to go towards being more angry, resentful, and violent. Cocaine the complete opposite.
“CHi-CHi, GeT ThE YaYo!”

@@samanthab6642 yep it's not addictive when you do it a bit.
@@LibertyRapsher this is y coke is bad. Over analyzing everything lol
Wow very profound. Not taking a drug to increase ego. Well said Joe.
Former Caine salesmen here: Joe all of those negative things you stated about its users are 100% true. Very few of my many many customers seemed to be non shady people. The Caine brings it out of people. It's also stupid fun.
Can't really get into a habit of using Spotify, still haven't listened to a single full episode since they switched. It definitely helped cure my addiction to JRE that I had for 8 years lol, I don't know if that's a good thing though I do miss it, but oh well.
Go back and rewatch this video but replace every word "cocaine" with "Spotify".
The dude got his money. Can't blame him. I'm not following to Spotify though. I've tried but I can't get past the 5 minutes of ads before every episode.
@@jakedahl8431 You can literally fast forward through Spotify adds faster than KZhead adds. You don't even have to wait the 5 seconds. Tf are you talking about? 🤣

During prohibition, during the Pendleton Round up in Pendleton Oregon, alcohol sales were legal. Only during the rodeo week though.
Will never get over the red studio of Joe Rogan ever having existed

Saying that most people who use these drugs are responsible people, is beyond the pale. Some people sure, but the majority, not even close.
Most people don’t become addicted and most addicts quit in 4 years.
@@nonyobussiness3440 Oh, just a measly 4 years lost to something only retards would advocate for being "safe."
I think its beyond stupid to think otherwise. We know that most people who use drugs are responsible members of society, and 80-90% of people who used drugs are not addicted. My friends and I all used drugs in the past and 99% of us were never addicted and we are all functional members of society. Even addicted people can be fully functional if we give them legal product and dont criminally charge them and stigmatize them. The reason drugs make people fked up is mostly bcs of stupid laws and criminal cycle people get themself into after being criminally persecuted.
You’d be surprised at how many regular ppl that do coke.
@James Prime yeah, i mean, the only reason why it might seem that you can not do drugs and be responsible member of society, is bcs of drug criminalization and social pressure drug users experience... So if you are heroin or cocaine user, or heroin, cocaine addict, of course you will have hard time functioning in society where people and law put pressure onto you and criminalize and stigmatize you. Especially in america... In Switzarland heroin addicts are functional, have jobs and good connections to families, and are responsible... Why? Bcs society accepts them, and do not discard them for their drug use. In america, heroin users are rejected by society, left alone, criminalized... So of course they have hard time functioning, and they need to do bad stuff to support their drug habbit.... So drug war and social unacceptence enhances addiction, and gets people sucked into never ending miserable cycle..
