What he is saying about alot of guys with talent and for whatever reason (personal, financial, mental, never got a shot, blew their shot, etc.) they don’t make it….I heard Adam Corolla say something along these lines, in the world there are so many, many level 7 and 8’s at whatever skill it maybe, but very, very, very, few 9’s and 10’s. GSP should have accepted his victory but he’s a good guy so he went over to Nick and raised his hand being a good sport, but Nick didn’t like it because he knew he lost. Diaz love to fight but they don’t seem to be violent guys. And yes, there is a difference. If you’re a dude talking s**t or acting out of line and catch an a** beating, that’s not violence. Mayhem Miller wanted to be cute coming into the cage during post fight interview after Jake Shields won his fight, and he got jumped. He deserved it. I wish I had friends like the Diaz. • Everyone says that he's so humble. Don't be so easily fooled. There's much more to him, than that. He has an ego, and he's very aware of it. He has respect BECAUSE of it and in spite of it. That's the difference. He has simply been incredibly humbled by his own life experiences. That's why, as a person, he is so attractive and his story is so interesting. He understands that, coming from where he came from, the odds for success in his chosen field were astronomical. Take a good look at places like Saint-Isidore, or any place on the South Shore, for that matter. Economically, in the '80's and '90's, these were not affluent neighbourhoods or nurturing environments. People joked endlessly about people from places like Longueuil and Brossard. Physical altercations between "les Maudits Anglais," immigrants and "Québécois de souche" were quite ordinary (I can't think of a comprehensive way to express "quotidiennement," in English). A tough place, for tough people, but as we all know, hard times breed hard men. Canada and most certainly Québéc, owes this man a great deal -- meowMeowmeow(tabernac).

  • So Bisping knew going into the GSP fight that he had to play the "Heel". George isn't that good of an actor. He typically always plays the Humble Hero that's just his natural default. So Bisping quite brilliantly played the Bad Guy and that created a bunch of Hype for their Fight. They both knew they were at the end of their career. UFC is more than just Fighting. It's truly Entertainment. The reality is both are very Honorable Men who actually mesh well as friends personality wise. Bisping has a load of respect for GSP because they both are tremendous fight fans not just fighters. Both have incredible Fighting IQs.

    • He was not impressed by his performance lol.. I remember Hughes being a pr*ck towards George on TUF 4, George had lost to Hughes by armbar not long before the taping of the show. At one point they are at a restaurant with all the guys (mind you TUF 4 was with all established UFC fighters like Matt Serra and all) and Hughes asks George all the way from the other table so everyone could hear "George is there something you can teach me?" George reacts "I will teach you something on one condition, that you teach me something too" and Hughes replies "Defense to an armbar", like the pr*ck jock he could be, that's how Matt Serra descibed him in the show. But the ironic thing was that GSP beat Hughes with an armbar the next time they met. There's a great video on KZhead with GSP's highlights called BLOODSPORT KARMA..

  • 0:45 What george says it much to his honor but it honors also us as quebecois people. This acceptance and willingness for bygones to be bygones is very much in the french canadian ethos. When the cold winter comes you better put differences aside and look out for one another.
