    • Make even more available room by storing the pot lids upside down on the pots so the handles don't stick up.

    • Could you free up more space by swapping out the 2x4 and CA glue attaching a few 2mm magnets to the inside of the drawer and onto the divider so it’s held in place…? Just seems mad to store a lump of wood… unless it’s a pretend lump of wood that’s really a cash stash safe & then kudos my friend! 😜😂 Great builds mon frére! Bish bash bosh! 👍

    • When storing the pot and lid together you can turn the lid upside down on the pot and get a couple of more inches of space. I know it's minimal but just a suggestion for those like me who have huge crawfish pots.

  • Just a tip for pots and pan lids: Sometimes you can invert them on the pot/pan, and keep the right lid with the right pot. And in some cases, store smaller pots or pans on the lid.

    • I never thought about storing about pan on top. That’s brilliant. I just invert the lids to store them in a shallower spot.

    • This is exactly how I use to store my cookware until a couple of weeks ago... I just got a new one and sadly the lids don't fit comfortably on the pots when inverted.

    • You can also put two pans inside each other (one smaller than the other) than put the lid of the biggest pan upside down on top of it, and the lid of the smaller one normally on top of the upside down bigger lid. Most space efficient!

  • Instead of the 2x4 at the back of the drawer, you could extend the sides of your organizer and have that be the stop. Then you have 1 extra area for a larger item like a long lighter!

  • I really like these projects. The last one could be taken up a notch by making the top try base out of clear plexi instead of 1/4 ply. That way you can see everything on the bottom with moving the top tray

  • 1st project: Love the additional shelves. When I get my tiny house built, I'm going to ask for extra shelf leaves. 2nd project: Ingenious to have a pull out tray and added shelves on the tray. The lid holder on the door is awesome. I have my lids all jumbled together and your idea is much better.

  • Why I like a kitchen with mostly drawers instead of doors...much more useful and easy to get to things. But you came up with creative ideas to fix existing issues. Drawers cost more upfront but totally worth it in long run

  • Oh my goodness I love these projects! That pull out shelf add-on is GENIUS! My husband and I are about to purchase our first home and I’m totally going save these ideas! • A hack I stumbled upon myself, those undershelf shelf things. I think I got mine at the container store. It’s a wire rack shelf, has legs that slide over the shelf above. It’s PERFECT for holding water bottle and lids. The depth just happens to be about the same as my cabinet. Holds all the water bottles, laying down, and room for the lids on one size. One of my more brilliant organization moves!

  • How about a solution for those under-counter corner cabinets where pots and pans go into the in-between spaces? I have 2 corner cabinets that go back as deep as the adjacent cabinet so basically enough space for an adult to hide in. The are commercial solutions that cost $$$$ but my budget isn't $$$$ BTW Excellent tips and projects Brad! Glad to see the lid door is still holding up. I knew it would 😁

I've mainly been buying storage and drawers from IKEA, Walmart, Amazon, etc. This has given me new motivation to do these projects myself. I've been a little overwhelmed by the time and energy required. While I know these projects will take time - you made this look easy and fun! Looking forward to taking back our kitchen space. It is relatively small - but these hacks will really open it up. Thanks so much for sharing. Pro safety tip - you probably should wear a mask instead of inhaling all of that dust, lol.

  • 1st project: Looks great as long as your shelves are not too deep or you will have problems getting the items at the back out. We have a cupboard that is the same depth as our fridge and getting the items from the back is already hard enough. For shallow cupboards it looks great. 3rd project: Love this and have already done it for my cutlery draw. For my bottom layer I did four sections that go all the way from the front to the back of the drawer so no gap at the back to fill in. I need to do another set for my second drawer down and maybe a lift out one for the bigger 3rd drawer with all the rolls of tinfoil and cling wrap. 2nd project: I just can't decide what I think of this. Every time you moved it I was worried about the items sliding off the shelves. Probably a me issue. I do like how you rounded the corners, such a small detail can make such a big difference to the end appearance.

  • Always up for some edge banding 😊, but I suggest putting the extra shelves lower. Put the lowest shelf 5-8” up - it’s eye level for many, and means short folks can use 2 shelves without ladders or pulldowns. Use the low shelf for short things like mugs, snacks, your bins, or plates. Allow more height for the next shelf up (put the stacked spice rack there - and add a lazy susan for oils & sauces). Then the top shelves that the short folks can’t reach are for low frequency items (like that bundt pan)
