The guy who "can't believe it" is actually the composer, who wrote this piece exclusively for Dimash 🤣🤣 His name's Igor Krutoy, you'll see him in plenty of Di's videos. Dimash apparently wanted an "Ave Maria" version, so Igor wrote one for him. The MUST SEE "new" song is "Stranger", it will blow your mind. It's the latest "you haven't seen anything yet" song from Dimash. The pianist composed this masterpiece at Dimash’s request. He’s famous Russian composer/music mogul (worth 13 billion, that’s how successful he is). He fully knows Dimash’s capabilities which is why he came out of retirement in 2018 to compose especially for Dimash’s amazing voice!

This "trilogy", these three songs are closely related, and taken together, they close the circle of life. ''Stranger'' symbolise birth. The traditional Kazakh instrument at the beginning of the song is Kobyz. Kobyz has two strings made of horse hair. The resonating cavity is usually covered with goat skin. There is no gram of metal in this instrument. Kobyzes were sacred instruments, owned by shamans (traditional spiritual medics). According to legends, the kobyz and its music could banish evil spirits, sicknesses and death. Stranger - this performance is full of symbols. Everything - the music, his voice, his movements, lyrics, the whole staging, the lights, the slowly moving light circle behind Dimash at the very beginning, absolutely everything you see and hear symbolise the whole birth process, from the beginning to the end. At the beginning 9 man and 9 women carry candles /the small light of life/. They hide Dimash. A large stream of light begins to swirl behind Di when he appears. This spinning circle of light can be considered as a cosmos /heavens/, where our souls come from. It's time for a new life and a new beginning. He emerges from this circle and begins to move slowly past the nine women and men. ''Somewhere in my heart in ancient times I wandered Through these valleys I have climbed among these hills Faces from a past I’m haunted by their mem’ries Lives and loves I’ve lost I feel them in me still....'' He still carries the memories of all his past lives. His high notes in the middle of the song, the sounds and the melisms he makes with his voice and which impresses everyone, symbolise labor pains and mother's cry. And the heavy drum beats, which constantly change its dynamics and intensity, resemble the unstable pulse of the mother. Then the candles go out. The drums stop and you feel calm and relaxed. Notice, his hand is on a fist. The fist punch he makes, that is the moment he was born. The stage goes on fire, he steps forward from the center /the "womb"/ and appeared to the world. His longest note at the end symbolise his very first breath. It means I ARRIVED. ''Fly Away'' symbolizes the earthly path we pass through. The whole dance, his moves shows his disinterest in copy-paste people who dance obediently to the music of the matrix. “Set me free I want to fly away Where nobody can control me I’m looking for something more...“ Quite rebellios. The system tries to bribe him, to seduce him, but he will not give up his freedom. He will not sell his soul to the devil. “Why we need to stay if we don’t wanna stay?" ... Good question, isn't it? My goodness, you have been missed! This was a great song from Dimash to mark your return. There are two other recent Dimash performances that, when I first heard them, I thought of you and how much I would like seeing you react to them: 1. The first is "Stranger", from this same New Wave event. 2. The second is "Omir Oter", the most recent 2021 live performance on his channel. From your previous reactions, I'm sure you will love both of these. He also has some newer Michael Jackson-inspired pop songs, but I would guess that genre isn't your thing. He was a judge and performer. He premiered 3 new songs. "Stranger", "Fly Away" and, "Ave Maria". They all sound completely different. Note to reactor: This version of Stranger is well worth watching EVENTUALLY but not until after you have seen the original performance done at New Wave 2021----the reason being that Dimash was sick for the Shine! performance with a serious nasal infection and was horribly off key and nasal sounding. Once you have seen the original and know why Dimash sounded so bad in the Shine! performance, that one is must see as well. But PLEASE watch New Wave 2021 version first.
Hello from over here. It makes me very, very happy to see you back and that you are doing well. And I'm especially glad that you're continuing with your reactions to Dimash. He's getting better and better, although he was already incredibly good at the beginning of my Dear time. In the meantime I even made it to one of his concerts and was able to hear Ave Maria live and of course some other of his songs. What can I say? When I think back to that concert, it still feels so surreal. I will probably never recover mentally from it. But it doesn't matter. Actually, the guy 'eating his own foot' composed this lol- (and many other Dimash songs) so im pretty sure he was expecting what he heard! But he was probably still blown away upon hearing it performed - even though he knew Dimash could do it.

If I'm not mistaken, this “Ave Maria” by composer and conductor Igor Krutoy is a work in vocalize format, completely unpublished, although it seems to be a variation of the initial theme (not the introduction but the singing part) of the melody by Schubert adapted to Dimash's voice in order to explore just as three initial notes and changing the fourth note to a higher note (From B4, A4 D #4 C #4 and B4 to G #4, G4, G4, D #5): Like a leap from "dark to light" which is the same contrast as Dimash's outfit (from dark to light)! It also seems to refer to the Russian V. Vavilov's version of "Ave Maria" (wrongly credited to Caccine) and work by JS Bach - Prelude No. 1 in C major, BWV 846, with arrangements by Gounod, which Maetro Igor Krutoy has a predilection for!

The pianist is Igor Krutoy who wrote this music and several other songs just for Dimash’s voice, so he knows exactly what Dimash can do. They are a masterful duo. Definitely do Stranger, (in English) .It is epic. And Igor wrote it for Dimash.

Dimash premiered "Stranger"+"Fly Away"+"Ave Maria" in 2021, at New Wave - a competition, where he participated as a judge and guest performer. These 3 songs were the way he stepped back on stage, on "new ground... new chance to know who I am, if I have the strength to begin again" (Stranger) after ~ 2 years of pandemic restrictions. "Ave Maria" was performed "thinking of an angel" - bringing celestial gentleness and a driving beat (drums) of encouragement to a world that had suffered immensely. Dimash himself lost 2 mentors in the summer of 2020, during the pandemic. (one of them - Kenes Duisekeev - prominent composer, Dimash studied Composition with him, and felt extremely lucky and grateful for being in his class). This version of "Ave Maria" was composed-reimagined specifically for Dimash by Igor Krutoy, at Dimash`s request. (Igor is the man playing the piano here, and he`s a world-class composer) Igor described the moment like this : "Italians like to say that any composer is worth exactly as much as his latest work is worth, meaning that all previous achievements do not count... I listened very carefully to the fairly controversial and peremptory statement made by representatives of this very musical country (both in the past and in the present), and began to look at my new compositions from the Italian perspective... One evening, about three months before 'New Wave', Dimash called and asked if I could write 'Ave Maria' for him, explaining his desire to sing something in such a stylistic way... It just so happens that I had some time off, and I was happy to sit down on the piano and, remembering the Italian liability formula, worked inspiredly until I achieved the desired result... After taking a few days to have the song 'lingering' in my ears, soul and heart, I sent it to Dimash, who literally said within half an hour that that's exactly what he wanted to hear. And, of course, the receptions and ovations given to Dimash by the audience on New Wave talked about how happy it was to do what you love, to write for a singer with a genius for music, arousing deep emotions in the audience and being sought after... Just an essay on the theme 'What is happiness?'.." Два гениальных человека- Игорь Крутой и Димаш встретились в этой жизни и о,чудо- мы услышали совместные уникальные шедевры.Из одной музыкальной фразы ,казалось бы из ничего, создать такое ангельское прикосновение к внутреннему миру каждо го человека! А каково оригинальное построение композиции:соло Димаша (акапелла), следом тихий фон фортепиано,затем затерявшийся в хоре ,легкий ветерок небесного пения,приближается кульминация-ангел разбудил спящую Землю и вырывается за пределы мироздания ,легко увлекая нас за собой в небывалый сказочный мир грёз,тишины и покоя. А,слушатели ,как золотые песчинки , раз летаются по всей Вселенной,звучит последняя длинная нота. Она так длинна и чудесна,что ожидая конца ее звучания ,можно просто задохнуться. It’s very good to see you back. Stranger+Fly Away+Ave Maria make up a futuristic story if you like….all from Sochi New Wave. (It starts with…He arrives through that portal from the Holy City…). The pianist, Igor Krutoy, famous Russian composer, star maker, concert productionist, multi-billionaire, came out of semi-retirement to work with Dimash whenever possible…finding in Dimash someone who could sing whatever he could compose. So there has been a lot going on with them together, and it may be endless as times are about to change for our real non-obstructed unrestricted and very freedom filled world. Dimash’s last name, Qudaibergen means Given By God, and his destiny is to repair what was altered and in some ways destroyed by Hollywood when they changed the base frequency for music. His frequencies go straight to the heart….for us to enjoy and be refreshed and healed by. I love your early reactions, and you still have it….great.
