  • That ranch dressing is to die for! If you don't want to spray your waffle maker with oil ,you can use two pieces of parchment paper. One for the top and one for the bottom. I also do this with my cuisinart griddle/panini. Easy clean up.

Even though I watch all your videos, written down all your recipes, bought your books, etc; it's your personality that is so inspiring. • Hair loss can be just due to weight loss, extremely common a few months after you’ve lost a significant amount of weight. This explains why women often lose hair a few months after giving birth as you lose weight very quickly then also.

    @aquabluebabe@aquabluebabe2 жыл бұрын
    • After giving birth hair loss happens from the hormone shift. You’re correct about the weight loss when it’s in large amounts too quickly. Any shock to the body can create a hair drop. Surgery, high stress, trauma… Thankfully all of these issues are temporary. 💗

    • From what I know it looks like hairloss after giving birth but during pregnancy the shedding is next to nothing due to pregnancy hormones and after delivery everything goes back to normal hair shedding wise so it looks like wow that is heavy shedding but it is just 9 months of barely shedding and then suddenly it all starts up again.

I'm 30 pounds down with another 30 to go. I like the chart you created. I'll look for it on your website. I have 2 charts on my fridge that are similar. Love your videos! And I need to shop for that Colorado company bread as I'm in CO. I do not eat bread often because I don't really like sprouted Ezekiel bread. I will try it toasted though as I have some in my fridge that hasn't been eaten by anyone else in my family. Linda

  • 16:22 Iodine, zinc and selenium are the 3 vitamins important for hair growth. I personally have always taken a multivitamin, ever since I was a child. I've never heard of getting too much vitamins, because anything your body doesn't need it just releases through urine. I have heard of vitamins that don't actually get absorbed, especially pills, so I did switch a few years back to taking a liquid multivitamin, and I definitely notice a difference.

I cannot thank you enough. • Kiki, I love your videos and you are a true inspiration! I switched to a vegan diet about 18 months ago, but I did reintroduce fish back into my diet about 6 months ago. I didn’t feel like I was getting the nutrients without it. I will say that I purchased some Kelp powder for the iodine properties. As I am 47 and had a ‘thyroid’ scare 2 years ago, I am aware of maintaining good thyroid health. I put a little kelp powder in my soups and Asian dressings (in lieu of fish sauce), along with B12, zinc, and vit D3 supplements. My recent bloodwork showed all levels were tip top perfect, including my thyroid. I believe in trying to obtain vitamins and nutrients from food as much as possible rather than pills. I’ve never heard you mention Kelp in your recipes, but you might want to check it out. Keep the videos coming ❤️

    • Hi Eliza! Awesome to hear you're thriving! One thing to make note of - instead of getting the important EPA/DHA omegas from fish (which also comes with pollutants, toxins, hormones, and saturated animal fat which isn't good for the gut), you can skip the middle animal and go direct to the source: micro algae! That's where the fish get it from. Micro algae EPA/DHA is also in the Complement Plus. It's so important to make sure your levels are optimal and this is the purest and most direct way to do it! Have a great day!

I have since found a good supplement and also focus on making sure I have a good protein source with every meal. I'm new to nutrition so I'm not very good at making balanced meals. • Are you kidding me? I had a ton of hair as a young man. The shingles started falling off the roof in my early 20's, and by 25 I was clearcut on top. I never had a lot of self-esteem, so I should be in a deficit by now. Luckily, I was able to convince myself that it was just hair, and didn't define me. When my eyesight faded and glasses became a thing, I often wondered which one I would rather have, and the answer is always my eyesight.

    • @@lindarancourt1465 Thanks for the input. I don't get distressed about it, though, since I can only act on reliable information. It's just irritating that there is so much conflicting reporting out there. I guess I'll have to get my degree in nutrition....

  • I almost thought it was alopecia areata from the thumbnail pic, that’s what the derm said I have. So glad Complement worked for you. I started my family on them a few weeks ago.

  • Hi Kiki this is perfect timing for me. This is the second time that I have gone whole food plant based and the reason that I stopped the first time is that my hair started coming out in handfuls and my Dr was of no help. It has started again and I really don’t want to go back to eating meat so THANK YOU for doing the research. I placed my vitamin order just now!

    • How are you liking the vitamins? I just placed an order the other day since I’ve also been dealing with hair loss on a whole food plant based diet

  • Hi Kiki, everything looks so fresh and delicious. I was ready to get my fork and put it right through the screen and taste them all. lol... Question, even though I eat them, what is your opinion on the white potato? Some say, "that it has a lot more sugar" because it is white, than a sweet potato?

  • As a Diabetic for over 20 years , my diabetes educator was telling me the same thing, eat your high carbs and starchy foods at the end, it will sustain your sugar levels. Ive had to do this at every meal. It works..and keeps you feeling full longer so no overeating..great video, new subscriber here
