Hey Troy, I got CTGP yesterday and it is everything I hoped for and more. Thanks for inspiring me to get it because CTGP is definitely a certified hood classic.
Mini-Map Fails: 8:10 -> Look at the characters on the Mini-Map. They're just making their way back to the normal track... like if it was nothing... even if they fell off in Troy's screen... (Lag) 9:31 -> The Koopa on the Mini-Map activates a Bullet Bill, but as soon as it finishes, the shock gets him... 13:06 -> The last Daisy on the Mini-Map fell off. Then, a Luigi cames by and passes her to win, but he falls too, so the Daisy can win. R.I.P Luigi...
I have never seen troy nail the DK mountain glitch, even after 3 years watching his videos, he hasnt done it even once, im starting to think its not even possible
He used to have the world record on that track where he's done the glitch

It exists but you’re better off not doing it. He has only done it once and even that could be argued to be him changing size to clip through that wall.

Flounder Fest idea: On 200cc, Troy and Nick can only use F tier vehicles and they must switch to another F tier vehicle each race while everyone else can use whatever vehicles they want.

I have an idea for a flounder fest mod you could do. it probably doesn’t exist but it would be cool if you could find a way to make bloopers be a more common item and have the blooper effect cover a lot more of the screen than normal Or you could do a gamemode that decreases your vision so you can only see your character and a little bit around it But those are just ideas

I swear when I played this game growing up, hitting the side buttons on the d-pad would make a single item stay behind you until you hit forwards or backwards, but I went back to the game recently and it throws it automatically unless you hold down the button. Is it a setting that can be changed, or am I just wildly misremembering the controls?
I think you are just misremembering the controls. I have played on every controller except the classic and could never do that.
