What a tragic ending to this season... I was really hoping for that elusive 1v1, but this was still one of the best Flounder Seasons yet, if not the best.

Wanted a 1v1, but wanted Nick to win the season because I would prefer to watch Troy’s punishment. I root for whoever I think has the most interesting punishment to watch.
@@collinkoza7127 I did the same thing for the season that troy had the threat of Funky Kong Cosplay as a punishment. It'll probably be my favorite FF season ever, as they brought up the punishment every race, whereas I honestly have a hard time remembering some of their newer punishments. It makes it a lot more enjoyable if they're talking about their motivation to win an episode beyond just a point. Like the episode where Troy saw a dead fish, or the episode where Nick was dry bones.

4:54 For many vehicles it's faster not to do a stand still mini turbo. The only vehicles that require a stand still mini turbo are: - Mini Beast - Wild Wing - Sprinter - Mach Bike - Sneakster - Flame Flyer - Piranha Prowler - Jetsetter - Honey Coupe - Flame Runner - Shooting Star - Spear With all other vehicles it's faster to just accelerate normally. Edit: Yes I know the way of measuring that is kinda inconsistent.
Not the Bullet Bike? Isn’t that the Flame Runner equivalent for the small characters?

I think they were playing 200cc and I do not know if this is still consistant between 150cc and 200cc

Here's a mod idea that I've had for a while: Everyone in a race has the same 3 items that they can use at any time. These items are randomized before the race starts. There should be some kind of balance to the randomization, so that you don't get only lackluster or overpowered items. Items like the shock or the pow wouldn't be possible to get.
OR the pow and the shock would be possible to get but you always keep all your items even if you fall off or get hit by something else like a star or a bullet bill

I think you meant acceleration, handling is how well your vehicle turns, not how fast it reaches its top speed

@@briangeer1024 at the timestamps that I have here, the ssmts were because he got hit by an item and is used to playing on vehicles with bad acceleration.

I'd love to see another 50 lap race, the one on DK Summit was awesome. A 50 lap race on a back and forth track like Raceway would be insane!

Honestly, super excited to watch you try to get 9s again since 1- I've been watching both road and race to 9s. And 2- that's where the floundering all started.
I forget if you can swap characters and vehicles after every race on a fun room, but if you can then here's an idea: Every race, use the first known world record combo on whatever track you guys choose

I think that an interesting one could be that instead of who wins races it could be who can get the most snipes. There's that one game mode on CTGP that keeps track of item hits that could work

One of the only cases where the turning speed stat actually because useful lol. Quacker would actually be a bad pick for this because it has much lower turning speed, A3 acceleration, speed, and handling than the bit bike, sugarscoot, or wario bike

Fun fact: the accel you need for accelerating to be faster than a standstill mini turbo is only 33, which can be reached at the lowest by waluigi on both honeycoupe and shooting star, and peach on the sprinter and sneakster

Wonder if there could be a mode called “endurance” which is like racing around a track but limited by time. 10 minutes maybe? Also, your vehicle gets continuously slower and worse at handling, especially when drifting because it’s wearing out the tires.
I remember a long time ago PKSparkxx did this challenge with the Off-Roader Also I see NMeade brought his Bit Bike back, and I did not know the Sugarscoot had that handling power.

The funny thing is I always used automatic on Mario kart Wii and I hated using manual. But now that I play Mario kart 8 I drift all the time 😆

Hey :) just a heads up the sugarscoot actually has worse off road than the bit bike, and the stand-still is really only necessary when your accel is less than 30

Here's a Flounder Fest idea, play an 8 race CTGP, BUT you choose your character and vehicle with your eyes closed, and you have to stick with that combination for the entire event
