Doesn't matter how cheap or expensive your guitar is, just imagine the amount of effort to build it. Respect.
A lot are made in factories
Cheap ones are not hand crafted. Thats why they are cheap.
@@asmityadav4216 not really.
Exatly man
Is difficult to be cheap this guitar...
when you realize it's easier to make an electric than an acoustic.
Of course it's easier, you can literally take a block of wood, slap the electronics and boom, electric guitar
Easier, yes. Not nearly as rewarding
@@edwardseman1920.......... yes......there is an element of saying that the guy may just be making guitars because he likes making guitars. He may never sell them. My guesse is, it would be very rare to get a buyer since i expect these guitars are extremely epensive (that's subjective ofcourse) However ....this craftsmanship must be extremely rare since i see the extreme high quality of far-eastern factory electric gutars at almost zero cost. It would be difficult to know who buys these acoustics except people with lots of spare cash to get rid of. For example, there are several very advanced pedals that can mimic high end acoustic guitars at just $140 pedal....... and these pedals can be used on any far-eastern $69 new strat ...........it's a great alternative. I respect his astonishing craftsmanship, but this scenario above has been exotic for decades now. You would need to exhaustively investigate your marketplace before ever considering building them guitars as a busines s.
Yep
Oh it’s much easier lol an electric guitar body is just a solid block of wood.
Mom can we get a guitar? No This guy: FINE, I'LL DO IT MYSELF
Cringe
Alex Margolin lmfao
Violins are too expensive so I’m going to make one instead
It's more like: can we get a luthier!? Mom: we have luthier at home! Luthier at home: this guy.
Lol
I appreciate my guitars a LOT more now.
That's why it hurts so much when some famous artists just smash them because they can.
I too, because i have only one xd
@@alfichotj I would hate those artists who do that.
@Nostalgia For Infinity Agreed
I dont because i have fabricaly mass produced 80 dolars laminate guitar xD
My goodness, no wonder good guitars cost that much
A Luthier invests sweat, blood, passion, time and years of experience to craft a masterpiece. High end price point is for his bent of mind, tenacity, cutting edge skill set and not limited for the product.
Anyone who Doesnt know the difference between a quality guitar such as gibson martin and 2 or 3 others known for their quality and a hundred dollar guitar doesnt have any buisness trying to play . I play both the guitar and Piano and can tell you the difference between a cheap guitar or piano and a good one in a heartbeat
@@Firetailisafk I was talking about the quality this man is building into this guitar which is GREAT QUALITY and yes I KNOW THE DIFFERENCE. I have played music since I was 6 years old and am now 75 years old and the one guitar i would have loved to have owned but couldnt afford was a greenfield acoustic but could never afford 20000 dollars for one so i have had to play gibson and martin guitars so yes i know quality when i see it and this man is building quality
and yes a good or bad guitar will make you good or bad for instance frets not aligned properly bridge not aligned properly nut not aligned properly neck warped so many things in a guitar can make you good or bad the music the instrument produces can make or break a musician
@@douglasmorrison9098 Nobody cares. Shut up
I can smell this guitar from here
Sameee
Mmmm that earthy wood smell always make me happy when I pull it out of my case

I have no skills in carpentry, but I have a passion for guitars. In my life, I want to make my own guitar. By myself, from the beginning to the end. What a project this must have been.
I hope you do it, i believe in you
With the right planning and tools I have faith you will. Good luck
I would record it somehow if I was you. I built my own bicycle and pc and I only have a couple of pics from the process and I regret. If you care about something that you do yourself it will be a good reminder of the difficulties and successes.
It only takes almost 8 mins? Hmm easier than i thought

No he just edited it down to 8 mins!

been a year since this comment, any progress ?
This is my son's Channel but man I had to comment that is a beautiful guitar and incredible craftsmanship.
Matthew Cauthen you good sir are full of Bullshit
Sure... It’s a shame that human reproduction is really only possible from age 10 and yet the man who made that gorgeous guitar sure looked older than a few months.
DaebakMonkey I think he means that he’s the dad of the child using the account, and he’s clarifying that it’s not the son, rather him commenting.

@@gregoryb2999 a huge risk
That just made me appreciate my guitar even more.
Every guitar, steel string or nylon string acoustic, or electric, is a work of art. A masterpiece not only by it looks, but also how it sounds
You’ve obviously never had a Squier.
@@terenceflynn5125 Nope. Tho Squiers are actually more pricey than my guitars
@@terenceflynn5125 some squires are actually quite nice. I've played a few that were nicer than there fender counterparts.
@@vegasspaceprogram6623 they’ve come a long way, for sure. I’ve got a 15 year old Squier Jagmaster that is far from a masterpiece 😂

Having watched each of the videos separately, this synopsis brought back memories of when I made my own Acoustic guitar. So, I know the amount of time involved and what it took to accomplish this task. Very nice work indeed Adam & you should be proud of that beautiful guitar. It also sounds wonderful. Treasure it always Adam & thanks for sharing your skills with us................
Thank you Steve! I appreciate all the feedback along the way!
Sir how many days does it take to build a guitar
months lot of time is needed for glue to dry and finish to cure
Brings back memories for me, too. I made one many years ago but with a head start. Sides were bent, top and back were joined, fingerboard slotted, etc. Even then it took a very long time for me to finish. Watching this really makes me want to build another one. Then I can fix all the mistakes I made the first time!
Now, finally i can say that every single penny for which i had purchased the guitar was worthy🙏

Very cool, can't wait to dig into the full series! Keep up the good work
This is probably the clearest, easiest to understand video on guitar building, ever. Amazing job on the guitar, and an even more amazing job making and editing this video.
very inspiring and intimidating at the same time- great job, thanks for sharing
Sooo much work put into building them. They’re so beautiful. I love the acoustic guitar. ♥️ well done building that guitar and well done video showing the process.
That's so amazing. So much work you did, beautiful work
Amazing job man!!! I’m blown away by all the details and intricacies of making this - even more than the canoes were. You really nailed this!
this was one of the most amazing things I've ever watched! What a beautiful process! Beautiful background music as well!
Adam I really appreciate your videos. Most guys building their first one can relate and it can get complicated to say the least. Your videos help clarify many of the challenges. Also, thanks a lot for the reference to Eric Schaefer Guitars on-line classes. I can't agree with you more how helpful this course and Eric have been as I'm going thru my first build. Anyone starting out should definitely consider his course. Thanks again for your videos and referral.
Thanks for sharing this wonderful experience
True craftsmanship.. incredible
Been playing forever. Was never curious how acoustic guitars were made until now. You make it look so fun and easy!
That was a great video, quick and to the point while still highlighting your skill not only as a woodworker, but a man of musical intelligence. You have made a truly beautiful guitar.
The most beautiful guitar I've ever seen!! Love it!
Best danm home build I ever seen. Keep up the good work dude
Wow, I would love to play that! Brilliant video. Awesome craftsmanship. Bravo!
Wow, what craftsmanship, dedication and patience goes into making such a beautiful instrument. Amazing
This is just beautiful. What a pleasure to watch you make this instrument. Great job and I envy your talent.
So good! Incredible job
Acoustic guitars are made with love and passion. It looked great, I wish I could play it.
The music playing throughout this video was played on that particular guitar that is being built. And at 2:02 the filing and sanding become the rhythm section. Pretty cool! The entire video was edited in time to the music with shots changing on the measure and sounds hitting on the beat. This video is really well done.
The love put in this guitar is The best. Ty
Fantastic craftsmanship, looks and sounds beautiful. I’d love to do that.
this set of Ziricote back & sides looks amazingly beautiful like an old-school oil-paint picture
masterclass! what an absolutely beautiful guitar
Absolutely amazing!
Awesome work man! Love it
It´s amazing what you can achieve by doing things with love and will
As a Joiner I appreciate the different levels of precision and skill. You blew me away with this build. Congratulations on a magnificent piece. That was so satisfy watching an outstanding craftsman ply his trade.
i’m never complaining about how a guitar sounds ever again…this made me appreciate guitar makers
The build is great and all, but I'd strongly advise you to wear a respirator, especially when cutting and grinding.
That was really Cool, I really enjoyed that! I'm proud of you ,thats not easy to do and it looked and sounded great! How much would you want for one? J... ( Toronto )
Nothing but utter respect for this degree of skill. Beautiful job. 👍
4:19 I didn't expect to hear my favorite piece and legitimately started tearing up because it's so beautiful 🥺
No one cares that the background music was played on this guitar itself?
No one knew
How could that be possible if the guitar was still being built?

This is why i could never make my own acoustic guitar. I abso-LUTE-ly (See what i did there?) Hate sanding with a passion that far outweighs my love for anything else!! Amazing work!!!
I'd love to build my own acoustic myself one day. Then play it with pride once she is finished.
That wood is spectacular. Nice workmanship.
Congratulations from Brazil! An excellent job the acoustic guitar looks perfect to look at!
You should buy a mask to protect yourself from all those dust I know it's part of the experience but keeping yourself safe is part of the experience too ya know
If you are just building one guitar its not a big deal. If you build and repair guitar for a living like I do then you do need a good respirator mask and dust collection.

@@Fazman81 Hey good sir, today I just found out part of my guitar (wood/coating) has fell off and it really breaks my heart.I think it was due to extreme heat condition that causes it.Do you have any idea or how can I polish it or make it whole again? It really breaks my heart even though it's just a small piece.Im afraid the whole guitar will slowly fall apart :(
Kazuya Yoichiro Without knowing what type of finish it has it would be hard for me to give you a remedy. That said most small cracks in guitar finishes can be repaired with a quality super glue. I would clean the area first with Naptha, then tape off the area. Sand the edges of the crack with 400 grit to feather the edges. Then apply the super glue and quickly wipe away the excess carefully with a napkin. Let it dry around 5 min then repeat this 4 or 5 times until you build up a good layer of super glue. Then block sand the area with 400 grit, 600grit, 1000grit and 1500grit. Then buff it with a good buffing compound. Hope this helps, salutations from Texas.
Love the design, love the sound, but the tool that you use are very...advance as what im saying but overall is ots a great design a.k.a a great masterpiece! Keep up the good work

@@chrismoylan7997 and how long did the it take to craft it? 2 weeks? A month or two? It all depends on the quality of the craftmanship, materials second.

very nice i hope i have one acostic guitar
Yeah I hope too
Beautiful a real piece of art
The most beautiful art!
how is the song called which he played at the end
That is what i call being a true professional. Watched a lot of guitar builds and you are doing everything the best way possible, except maybe you should add a laminated neck next time. Edit: You also forgot to put lining inside the guitar. Are you planning another piece?
Jazercan Mafiansky Some people like the raw feel. The matte finish slides better and feels over all better.
Some people dont like the look of laminated necks. I myself dig a nice curly maple neck with no laminations.
YEAH LETS JUST INCREASE WORKLOAD AND DECREASE PLAYABILITY YEAH
There is also very clearly kerfing in that guitar js
wow.. what workmanship.. it's beautiful..
Looks and sounds fantastic!
"Oh wait, I was supposed to make a violin! Damnit!!!"
3:40 just wondering what are those dangly things and what do they do?
I believe they are carbon or fiberglass rods and they act as clamps. I have not yet finished watching the full series, but I'm sure you will find an episode that talks more about them.
@@reiniervanrooyen1528 oh coolthanks👍
tehose are go-bar decks. Its actually an old way to put pressure on the braces when they are glued-essentially a clamp.
They are go-bars the put pressure on the pieces and act as a clamp. If you notice he is using the sanding disc under to clamp the same radius on the sanding dish into the top. It is a very efficient way of clamping a lot of pieces at once.
they are fiber glass rods used to apply pressure for the glue up process. Similar to a piece of wood, if you bend it fiber glass will want to return to its initial shape. This, coupled with the geometry of bendy things means that it also applies downwards pressure. You can play with it using all kinds of materials, fiber glass is a common one because of the strength. A cheap way is to use fiber glass road markers, you can find them for $2 or $3 dollars at hardware stores in north america at least.
Nicely done! 🤩
this is just so satisfying to watch
when a luthier wants an acoustic but they realize it's quarantine
3:39 does anyone know what the purpose of those strands onto the guitar braces are for? And the term for those
Their purpose it seems is to act like clamps, but I do not know what they are called. I assume it's the best way to add even pressure because you can fit more of them compared to other clamps and the variable pressure they can have.
It hurts to see that channels like this has so little subscribers and are such underrated, the amount of work put into this one video for example is insane, and the outcome is a beautiful peace of art ;)
Beautiful work!
