  • I love how people actually think that Chael's been defeated. Every single fight Chael has ever "lost" happened because he LET them win. He's a natural promoter, how boring would it be if he actually won every fight? Exactly. He keeps things interesting. • Chael had such a rough life leading up to his MMA career. People just don't even know. The average person can't even comprehend what this guy went through as a kid. I mean, his dad barely made $100K per year. And Chael once had to watch a man publicly litter. The guy PUBLICLY littered, and Chael had to see that. I weep every time I think of him clawing his way out of West Linn - against all odds - and reaching the top of his profession as an undefeated champion. My wife just looked at me and asked me why I'm crying into my phone. Oh man, I gotta go.

  • Can I just say how much I love these guys!? Both know exactly what selling a fight means and what trash talking is meant to do. These two could go at it for days, and at the end, both know it's just business. Fun to watch, and it's nice to see a pair of fighters who know it's not (truly) personal. I also have to say I love Chael. Yeah, he talks a lot of %^&*, but he always moved forward in a fight and was always ready to bring it. He was a high pressure fighter, and that's not easy. His worst losses were usually do to him slipping up and making a mistake; I actually thought for a while he might be throwing fights for money on side bets or something, but the truth is he's just that guy who misses the brass ring at the last second. Hell of a fighter, though!
