Linda Webber I want to join the volleyball team for my Freshman year. I’m scared too but tbh you should tryout anyway. Just practice at home before tryouts and try to learn as many tricks and things as possible. And even if you aren’t as good coaches want someone who puts in the effort. And maybe you’ll get in- or maybe there won’t even be girls who played their whole lives. And don’t worry about being small- it’s not everything. You might just have to work harder to achieve certain things. Just tryout anyway. You can make it👍🏽

Your videos have been really helpful. I’m going into 9th grade and I’ve never played before (I’ve never gone to a school where they have sports!) but I am interested. I am trying a skills camp at my high school for the next three days and if I like it, I’m going to try out for junior varsity next week. I’ve met both the varsity and junior varsity coaches and they are both really nice so that makes me feel a bit more comfortable with trying volleyball out.

@@zeraora155 i have a friend who’s in the same situation and I advised her to try it out ,even if it’s just buying one and practicing simple stuff at home. I used to play in sixth grade and am definitely not like hinata but it was fun to try. And now I’m planning on starting again, and I really just recommend you try it out just because an anime is what gave you the want to try it , shouldn’t mean anything different
I'm joining volleyball for the first time this year in 8th grade, and I'm very nervous about it because I'm not the greatest at it. I need some sort of modivation to keep me going but I feel super insecure about my skills compared to other girls at my school that are really good at volleyball. I want to do volleyball though before I get into highschool, and in fact I'm actually joining basketball as well and thats also the same as volleyball. I'm super scared to join sports and I completely regret not joining sports sooner than now, but the more I wait the more I'll regret. I just hope that one day I'll become really good and become more confident about myself. Wish me luck 🤞😬 *Update* >> So today was the first day of volleyball practice, and honestly it wasn't so bad after all. I think I was just scaring myself for no reason because practice went amazing and it was so much fun. All you have to do is have a positive attitude and believe in yourself. Although I wasn't the greatest volleyball player there, I learned so many things and I'm really looking forward to more after school volleyball :))

I'm a setter and I DO NOT KNOW how to changing position... Storytime I'm a setter and I am like a beginner (3 years from volleyball) I still don't know how to position and serve (sometimes my serve are inside) my teammates are mad at me and I cried (that was embarrassing) I have many negative thoughts, some other teammates are comforting me they said I really did a great job but still NEGATIVE THOUGHTS I sometimes watch HOW TO SERVE, WHAT'S THE POSITION AT THE SETTER, HOW TO BACK SET(well I achieve that cause it helps me a lot your videos are amazing) still... Due to quarantine I haven't been able to practice much, I'm new to volleyball but I guess watching the anime Haikyuu got me into it. I wanna become a setter but i'm not sure if its the right fit for me. You see, i'm fairly chubby and insecure about my weight and body so that may be part of that too...But the thing is I am also interested in the Libero position. One of the other things im worried about is that I've lived in a house with people who smoke around me a lot, and im only thirteen...My depression and anxiety are worse now than they've ever been so those have been causing a lack of motivation...But I've been trying my best to practice when i can, even if its hard and im one to give up easily...Anyways, you're videos have really helped me in both learning the rules and deciding on a position, so thank you Coach Koko!

I’m barely 5’0 never let your height tell you what to do try out for that team and even if you don’t make it NEVER EVER LET YOUR ANYTHING TELL YOU WHAT TO DO. It’s your life and just cause your short doesn’t change a thing if you have the passion it will take you anywhere
