The Outlier is a public land, DIY elk hunting film produced by Montana Wild during the 2015 Montana hunting season. Follow along as four good friends battle to fill their elk tags with bows in hand in the Missouri River Breaks.

  • I’ve been watching this and am I the only one that feels like these cats are not have very much fun??? We go hunting and have hellacious good times … and still fill tags ,,, at times even hung over but laughing still… it use to be wed listen to the older cats now I’m the older cat … the years have gone by…we still have good times

  • Shoot I start thinking about elk camp and deer camp 3/4 months before it’s even actually here😂 I’ll start buying all the little stuff that I’ll forget last minute so I stash it all in a tote until elk and deer camp. Man I absolutely love the fact we get to go out and be blessed, everytime I reach the mountain its just like every worry all my stresses completely just fade away. I can’t wait to start hunting new states

    • Also another reason to not take very low percentage shots. High FOC and cut on contact heads do help but a bad shot is a bad shot.

  • Fixed blade COC head and the first bull would have tipped over in front of you. Great film but I have a hard time getting over the use of expandable broadheads for elk.

  • Great bull. I would emphasize the importance of watching as carefully as possible for all clues after the shot. Falling apart and all the arm pumping is cool, but those elk could have come out the bottom and you wouldn't have had a clue.
