  • I’ve been struggling with this a lot lately. I want to take my kids out of public school and send them to a good Bible believing Christian school, or even a trusted homeschool atmosphere… but I’m a single working mother, and I cannot afford either of those options. I do continually pray about it. Every single day. Any suggestions or avenues I may not know about? I greatly appreciate any suggestions. Let’s stay strong, my brothers and sisters. And raise our kids same. We are in this together. ❤️ Blessings

    • “Let’s all hide under a rock and wait for the Lord to return”.. that’s not in the Bible. What you are doing is the right thing, you are praying for you children and providing for them, and I hope you are teaching them the scripture and living it out as well. Jesus did not command His disciples to go into hiding or lead a hermit life, the first century church lived in the most hostile environment and yet thrived, so shall we.

I’m a single mother to a 3rd grade boy, I home school him and I’m blessed to have the luxury with my full time job to homeschool. I’ll be in prayer with you concerning work situations especially opportunities to work from home or business! God can do far above you think or imagine, Just keep trusting him in the beauty of holiness.❤

    • Have you talked to your pastor or elders about it? This is where the church needs to get better at supporting its families, esp when it comes to training up children in the Lord. Many of the private schools have financial aid too. Start getting connected to the homeschooling community in your area (Facebook is a good place to start finding this info) and I have no doubt you will find a wealth of knowledge. I bet some other moms in similar situation who have been creative and may be able to help guide you on co-ops, microschools, etc available in your area too. The most important is what you're doing - Praying- may the Lord guide your path.

    • It truly doesn't take that much time out of your day to teach your kids. If you have an hour a day you'll be doing more than the government indoctrination center AKA public schools. It doesn't need to be 6 hour of sitting with them 5days a week. The beautiful thing is your kids get to be kids and learn from hands on daily life. The only reason public school was designed was to be a daycare center for families who both needed to work. We make it so much more difficult then it really is. Most communities especially after covid have communities of homeschooling families and coops to join. I also have a church that has a huge community most either homeschool or send to our private Christian school. Only a small fraction have their kids in public school. Our kids are not missionaries we can't send them into school like they are.

  • You can't, and shouldn't, expect public schools to adopt a biblical world view. Schools should set aside time to explain the belief systems of the main religions, however emphasizing only one of those religions is totally inappropriate. If parents don't want their children to decide about religion for themselves then the only solution is to cocoon them in religious school/church bubbles and hope it is enough to stop them thinking any differently as they grow older.

After a few years of rebellion we got our act together and sought the Lord (rather the Lord sought us and we responded). Anyway, the point is, we as believers shouldn’t be afraid of the world, the world should be afraid of us, the HolySpirit in us is greater than any demon out there. I must say though, we will have to grow out of this sissified form of Christianity that we are used to in the west.

    • @@akiingvarsson554 that’s my desire and prayer, but when they grow up they have a choice to make. I will like not force/coerce my children to love me, it has to come from within them, otherwise it’s not love. Same way their relationship with Christ cannot be forced upon them, you offer the choice of salvation and it’s up to them to accept or reject. God, who is all knowing, could have decided not to create us humans because He already knows the damage and heartbreak we would cause to Him, His creation and to each other, but He took the risk anyway, knowing well that given the free will we choose either way, also providing for our sins that if we choose to turn from it and follow Him, we have the option to do so (and provided the help of the HolySpirit). Eternal torment could be both ways; people who choose to hate God and don’t want to be with God will be in eternal torment if they are in the presence of the God they hate so much for all eternity, so why not be in the absence of God for all eternity? Again, it’s a choice, and it’s good to have a choice than to be robots/machines programmed to do just one thing.

    • @@davidkpaulson Valid point there too sir. But Christ's church also needs to stay faithful to the teachings of the bible (Living Word of God) - to fulfil His calling/intentions and functioning purposes. It is simply Step1 to that purpose - this recognition of God's hand of ownership/authority. John1 - Christ Jesus is the True Light that entered the world He created but which has largely failed to believe and accept Him. John 1 verse12 states, "To as many as believe in His name and accept Him, belong the right to be known as Children of God" (a salvation reborn of God and sealed by the Living Spirit of God).

    • Attempting to share the gospel with someone is never forced if it is done scripturally. People have the choice to reject what is offered without any harm from the one who gave them the gospel message (i.e., physical harm). And nowhere in scripture are Christians authorized to harm those who don't accept the gospel message or don't want to hear anymore about it. They are to simply go on to the next person and leave the one who doesn't want to accept or hear the gospel message alone. So, as a result, no one is forcing anything on anyone when it comes to faith, if it's done right. In contrast, people are being coerced and threatened with repercussions of all kinds if they don't accept (put their stamp of approval on), the LGBTQIA+ agenda. (E.g., loss of job, suspension from school, being called a bigot or homophobe (character assassination), etc.) This is tyrannical intolerance, plain and simple. And it is evil and satanic at its core.

    • @@paulv433 No - the Red Horse symbolizes a different religion. Catholicism is officially Christianity. They did sporadically burn people at the stake and persecute others, but wasn't a whole religion dedicated to that purpose. Islam started killing people by the thousands as soon as they were formed. They spread their religion via the sword - something Christianity did NOT do.
