My only real problem with this movie was that I didn't order a side of Family Drama Sauce with my Monster Showdown Macaroni.
There has to be some other plot point You seriously just want to see Godzilla go at it with the other monsters for 2 hours straight?
@@ceecue5367 Nope! I saw the trailers of giant monsters fighting and so that's what I signed up for. It's like signing up to watch a boxing match then at random points during the final match the opponents will hug each other and start crying and talking about their feelings. Don't get me wrong, it's good to talk about your feelings, but that's not what people signed up for. The only additional content I liked was the people that were actually monitoring things and working to help Godzilla, as it was more relevant to the plot than "WOE IS ME MY DAD'S A DICK'. I signed up for a mega monster fight. If I had known it came with a side of Advanced Miscommunication, Broken Marriage, Sassy Rebel Child and Pointless Character Interaction, I would've waited for someone to go ahead and cut down the movie to where it was only the fighting. If solving broken marriages during Kaiju wars is your thing, good on ya! But I'm just here to watch a Kaiju war and that's about it.

The biggest lie of this movie was that the critics said there was "Too much monster scenes."
This is why we don’t get a lot of actual good movies anymore.
In the previous movie they were mad that they didn’t see enough Godzilla and now they are mad that there is too much Godzilla

I like this movie, but EVERY time the monster fights start to pick up, they cut away. I really hope a competent director will eventually give us the monster fights we want sometime in the future. People say an hour of monster fights wont work. Clearly they never watched the original movies.
@@justsomeguy1136 an hour won't work for the simple reason that CGI is very expensive and very time consuming. The old movies had a guy in costume wreck a miniature set, not comparable at all. They should just focus on making at least a few good, longer fight scenes instead of spreading all their CGI budget in these little, not satisfying snippets throughout.

as a godzilla fan i can honestly say that i dont expect anything serious and i dont expect a good plot i just expect some monsters to fight. and thats what we got. wich made me really happy

I rewatched the first movie and the final fight with the MUTOs was almost a continuous section of ass kicking. If every fight was like that, then yes, king of the monsters would be an awesome film. But instead, we have to deal with those underdeveloped characters for way too long.

Add a 1000 sins for Emma having any sort of redemption arc (her sacrificing herself to save her family). She was responsible for launching a plan that would knowingly kill billions of people and even though her plan wasn't a total success she still killed millions. She is pretty much the most evil person ever to exist yet the movie just glosses over it at the end.

I'm just slightly disappointed that you didn't even mention how, while they were luring Rodan to Ghidorah, Stanton's ETAs of 60 seconds, 30 seconds and 10 seconds were all perfectly accurate. They ran into Ghidorah exactly a minute after he said "ETA to Monster Zero: 60 seconds" and the other two were perfectly timed as well.

Rodan still being alive at the end actually makes perfects sense 1. mothra stabbed him through the shoulder not in a lethal spot and her stinger looks more like a paralysis move rather then a lethal move 2. when rodan fell of the building in the wide shot we see the building is actually pretty small like me falling of my chair 3, rodan is a giant flaming pteranadon who lives in Magma i doubt Godzilla's meltdown would kill him
I mean I'll accept all of this if you accept that radioactive heat is way diffrent from magma heat
The last one... idk. His atomic blasts turned Ghidorah to ash and he was a heap stronger than Rodan, ko'd him pretty casually with lightning breath. I suppose he could survive, I'm pretty surprised he wasnt really badly fked up though.
@Barry Lyndon it might be due to weakneses ghidora is stronger than hin outright but Rodan might be immune to heat damage while ghidora isn't like how a kickboxer might be used to overall harder hits than a boxer but the boxer could take a punch to the jaw better like not saying both arnt strong just...diffrent

To explain some mothra confusion: Mothra is characterized as ALWAYS on the side of good, even when Godzilla isn’t. Her and Rodan have fought Godzilla, all three have fought Ghidorrah, and more. The thing about her is that she’s immortal, and is reborn every time she dies. When mothra comes directly out of hibernation she needs to morph into her moth form, because she sleeps as a moth caterpillar thing.
And she's always born from an egg at least twice the size of the current Mothra....which kind of explains why she keeps dying.

Considering Godzilla's origins, it seems kind of insensitive to have a Japanese character kill himself to save him.
Actually, it’s really not. Considering his origins, it would be insensitive to have it be anyone else. Gojira was Japan’s coping mechanism for the trauma they suffered. Serizawa even said in the film that the best way to heal is to make peace with your demons. To him, Gojira was a placeholder for his demon, his trauma (Hiroshima) by sacrificing himself with a nuclear detonation to save Gojira, Serizawa was able to take the weapon that had caused him so much pain, that had taken so many lives, and use it to save someone instead. Also, this Gojira seems to be physically closer to the retconned Gojira from Toho who was born from the pain and anguish of the victims of Hiroshima and Nagasaki, as his skin is littered in Keyloid scars.
@17:31 During this scene when Madison is running away, she gets hit with a huge piece of the building. Like a HUGE piece of concrete bigger than her, she even falls to the left because it hits her. I mean that should have crushed her, but she just keeps running. 😂 Plot twist, she is stronger than Godzilla.

I was sitting their bored out of my mind waiting for the obvious plot points to happen and seeing all the stupid stuff that gets sinned on this channel. This channel ruined bad movies for me. Can't believe didn't say anything about how deep the ocean when he was swimming but he stood up it was only ankle deep
thats because he wasnt in the deep part in the film he was swimming so the ocean is deep asf
that isn't necessarily a sin of the film, in most other godzilla media, godzilla can be seen doing that, so it's more of a practice of the film series, also his tail could be holding him up sense his tail works like a croc edit: so i looked it up, he's standing on a underwater mountain, those are common is the pacific ocean, so the chance that a hollow earth tunnel is next to a sea mountain is very high. also you can hear the sound of rocks cracking once godzilla dives off into the ocean

Well actually... nuclear meltdown happens when temperature reach 2000+ Celsius. It can go as high as 2800C which is like 5000F. Sice Godzile was pumped... I would guess even higher :) Anyway... temperature in volcano is about 1500Celsius. So about half that. And remember tolerance to heat is not linear. Hey dude, at the end when u were confused about how Rodan survived Godzilla nuclear explosion, remember Rodan is the fire demon, and he lives in a volcano,in the lava, meaning Rodan can take extreme heat and still be fine. So Rodan survived because he can take extreme heat.

The trailers ruined this movie. It left no surprises. It should have never shown Burning Godzilla in the trailers. GvsK trailer better just show a quick fight scene and that's it. I dont want to see Mechagodzilla leave it for the surprise factor.

The sin isn’t that they tried shooting Rodan with missiles at first cuz they were getting his attention, but instead that they didn’t lead him in the other direction so the downforce of the wind from his wings didn’t absolutely ruin the town below.
Also just because Rodan can withstand the heat and pressure in molten lava doesn’t mean he isn’t vulnerable to an explosive force concentrated on a very small area.

Well, it took me a while, but finally watched this movie. I POSITIVELY LOVED near the end battle between Godzilla and Ghidorah the y actually used the original Godzilla music played for him in the old Toho movies. That gets 10 out of 10 stars right there, as have ALWAYS loved that music. Also, just couldn't stop laughing when at the end Rodan actually BOWED to Godzilla.
