as I recall this was the "sequel". I was wondering the entire time when the F godzilla was gonna show up.
I wonder if the original was sci fi in the first place. The story is shaped by the mystery of whether the invasion is real or not, and calling it Cloverfield ruined that before the ending came. I wouldn't be surprised if the original script didn't have the alien at the end and they added it to make it Cloverfield.

I was actually pretty impressed in this movie with how she didn't really make any dumb decisions. Compared to other main characters in movies, she always did the best she possibly could to survive. For how impossible the odds were, she really did not give up and was very smart.

This was the stupidest movie. You think it’s going to be crazy man kidnapped and lied to the girl, when she actually gets outside & it turns out there actually were aliens, I laughed so loud, absolutely ridiculous, & waaayy too long 😂

nah he killed the last girl he lived in the bunker with. The one he said was his daughter was actually some girl he kidnapped and later dissolved in acid. If you watch the movie, the guy gives really creepy vibes, and it gets creepier the further in you go.
The fact that a man was trying to save a woman but her “woman intuition” told her she was in danger when in fact was the safer place to be….it’s insane she blew up the only safe place.
It's really not, though. He could've easily shown her evidence but wanted her to just take the word of a stranger. It doesn't matter that it was a girl. If i wake up after an accident chained to a wall, I ain't trusting anyone.
