So, I'm set up on a New York City sidewalk, asking people to sing...
"Will you sing with me? Will you sing a song with me? Will YOU sing with me?"
Finally, Chris comes walking along. A real trooper, he picks an Elvis classic, and proceeds to sing a song dedicated to his Mother. Touching, right? Next thing I know, I've got a set of twins approaching who want to sing a song nearly twice as old as they are! Fantastic!
Not enough for ya'? Afterwards, wouldn't you know it, a rockstar family happens to be walking by. No stranger to a microphone, the roof is blown off the makeshift concert area I brought along, and I couldn't be happier to have been a part of it.

  • I was touched by the young man who dedicated the Elvis song to his mother. Even though they're not in good terms he still loved her enough to dedicate a song she loves. I really hope his mother was watching, and that things will work out between them.

  • What I appreciate about Cayleigh is that even though she's professional and obviously very talented, she actually manages to avoid oversinging the song while still showing off what she's got. A lot of the big jumps actually sound more like her jumping around to find a comfortable register in a song that's in the original key for a male voice that sings half of it in falsetto.
