Hello everyone Today we will check how many chips you can get from one sack of potatoes weighing 35 kg. I would be interested to know how much cheaper homemade chips will be than store-bought ones.

  • I watched a video on making chips. I cant for the life of me remember what. But there was a secret ingredient to get them crisp but not have the dark burnt look. I know there was vinegar involved, but I think it was bicarb or something. They looked like the white chips you find in your supermarket etc. White and crispy. Obviously salt is needed.

    • Hate to say that, but all potatoes are pretty much different in size so you won't be getting a 100% accurate answer. While it's easier like that, you'd be better off just counting all of them separately.

      @mariuslabutis5731@mariuslabutis5731Ай бұрын
    • @mariuslabutis5731 Yeah, but since they are pretty much the same size (and with a little common sense), you can get an accurate enough answer. You don't have to be precise since a sack of potatoes itself is different from sack to sack, i.e. his answer is also an approximate of how much chips you can get from a sack of potatoes. Bottomline, an exact answer is not necessary here!

      @joandy2749@joandy2749Ай бұрын
    • Mass and volume is probably proportional on potatoes. So, a few potatoes would be enough to make a bag of chips. This channel has an audience and this is how creator makes content. Judging is not cool at this point. I think he is smart enough to calculate how we do.

Then we'd peel, wash, slice, boil the chips and place them one by one our roofs under the sun. None of them should overlap. It's really tiring.

Potatoes are also a source of energy, providing a slow and steady release. Now we've established that a potato is in fact botanically vegetable, we can confirm that they also belong to the carbohydrate group, one of the three main macronutrients in our diet.
