The age-old battle between strikers and goalkeepers continues... Here's Peter Crouch on Goalkeepers! Let us know which side you're on 👇
Strikers!
Keepers. Absolutely stone bonkers top bloke everytime!
Not enough keeper/strikers or striker/keepers. Someone's gotta record a "Total Football Hat-Trick", which is that you score a hat-trick, and then take a turn in goal and make a save.
Rush keeper is the future!
I second that 🤣🤣 great transitional keepers incoming
Timeless. We used to settle matches with headers and volleys if it was tied too, but i'd love to see manager fighting instead of pens
Your heads gone
Monkey Rush is the future
RE: managers. It's not about the positions they've played. Most managers were former captains when playing or leaders in the dressing room
Jimmy fucking walker! 😂
Goalie when nez defo the way to go
Also 7% of managers being goalies is pretty representative. 1/11= 9%
Looks like another Stat Man Dave howler of an oversight. Also, adding to that weirdness is the fact that they're not gonna break down managers by positions, say, former right-back, former left-back, etc. Additionally, while forwards will drift further back into positions when they're older, keepers very rarely shift position, so you won't get a manager who was a former striker turned keeper to bolster the keeper/manager stats. Finally, keepers just play longer, I feel. You'll often find keepers in their 40s as a 2nd or 3rd, or in non top-flight football. Something which is an anomaly for players, if you'll recall the clause in Crouchy's contract. :D I think the ~2% variance, given those additional bits of info would seem to balance everything out.
Keepers, Defenders, Midfielders, Forwards that’s 1/4 so should be 25%?
@@thatpetercrouchpodcast it deserves to be broken down a little bit more. Some muds are attacking, others defensive. You get wide defensive /attacking players. Strikers who drop deep, etc... Can't approach it like that
@@thatpetercrouchpodcast no cos that means one in 4 players is a goalkeeper
@@thatpetercrouchpodcast this is funny if it was a joke, terrifying if it wasn't
I started as a center mid and moved wider and forward
Nobody mentions Mourinho???????
