    • It is called High pressure tactics. Mainly used in sales but they use it to scam people. Also, they do this to make them lie to the banker when transferring money or purchasing gift cards. Making the victim guilty is their objective.

    • ​@@kayb9979 Also one of the most common insults you'll hear from raging scammers is them threatening sexual assault and essentially rape. Sexual violence is a major problem faced by women and girls in India, it's absolutely heart breaking when you look at the statistics and read some of the victims' stories. The fact that these guys are able to casually joke about it and it's such a common insult among them really goes to show just how bad the situation truly is out there. It's like boys are taught from a very young age that they don't need to respect women and they grow up believing that this type of behavior is okay. It's so sad.

  • This elderly lady just subscribed. 🙏🏼 I only wish that i knew about you a couple of years ago ..before i fell for a scam of $800....(A policeman i called later told me that he had already heard from a woman who had lost several thousand dollars overseas ... ) It is funny to catch and refute a scammer... Much less amusing when caught by them. They do high crimes - and, sonetimes, quite blasphemously. There is a permanent low place waiting for them if they do not repent of the evil.   • Reversing a scammer's scam back on him is so satisfying to watch! I can picture in my mind how he is beating on anything within his reach, because he is so angry. When you reveal that you know where he is, and that now you are the one in control of his own scam files, it is so funny hearing him try to assert that he is not who he really is.   • Hey fortunate story! I work in a nursing home and while doing some online coursework, I overheard two residents talking about a Norton scam! The scammer claimed the resident was to receive a 600$ refund and was trying to get them to download anydesk. Without you, I would’ve heard nothing but gibberish, but thanks to your content and awareness, I was luckily able understand, intercede, inform the resident, and stop the scam. I showed them a short video of yours and they thoroughly enjoyed it, feeling heard and understood after a very confusing situation/attempted scam. Thank you pierogi! Couldn’t have done it without your knowledge 👏

    • @@lr5497 yeah I told a few! We also have a diagram set up in one common-area that says “don’t get scammed!” And goes over the most basic clues that you’re getting scammed. I think it’s pretty outdated though. It doesn’t include anydesk info, gift card scams, refund scams, etc. so I definitely want to talk to my supervisor about that and get it updated. Elderly and or people with comprehensive struggles are such easy and unfortunate targets :( Really makes me mad.

I caught a friend, i'd just met at the time, who was in the early steps of a romance scam, and luckily im a veteran, so when they mentioned some 'army guy in cali' asking for money to do something that didnt make sense, (this was actually how i met the friend..) while i was working, (at a gas station) I asked her to repeat the summary, and I told her it was BS, then after work explained what was happening in detail, and explained the catfishing bs.. meanwhile this was waaaay before I'd even seen any of these videos... and it wasn't the first time i'd called bs on scams for people openly in public... (ears of a hound apparently lol) now that i've seen these videos, i'm much more informed and able to show them to the people being scammed... and have actually stopped some gift cards being bought, by knowing the key words the scammers try and use. So i'd asked a couple prying questions and they were really defensive, meanwhile they were on the phone with the scammer, so i asked them to mute the phone, closed my register, and stepped to the side, and explained the situation... So i get you on this @dontthey..

  • Thanks I work in aged care and so many times have to track down info given to scammers, trying to block transactions by people who bully and abuse and confuse the elderly. Trying to educate the elderly does not work because they get confused and forget, the only way is to stop the scammers! Thank you so much❤

  • Love it ! I do a similar thing when I accidentally let a call in that I don’t want . I drag it out like you guys do , change the subject every chance I get and then tell them I’m not interested . Tha callers that “represent” charities only give a small percentage to the actual charity so I drag them out , then ask how much goes to the actual charity , then say “why don’t I just donate directly to them and they will get all the money”? I offer to pray for them , hope they get better jobs , you name it . If I have the time , I waste as much of theirs as I can before giving them NOTHING ! Keep up the great work guys , thank you !
