While she LOOKS like (and is referred to) as a tapir, with her mythology, she's probably actually a Baku (the sort of tapir based mythological animal from Japanese lore from which most of the mythology comes.)

@kennethsatria6607 Well the unicorn/rhino is not really a coincidence, any more than the griffin/Protoceratops or the cyclops/ extinct Greek Dwarf Elephant. As far as anyone can tell, the rhino became the Karkadan/Monocerus and that led to the unicorn,with the tusk of the narwhal reinforcing it. An actual Baku doesn't look EXACTLY like a tapir more like a furry lion with an elephant face (at least, that what my three netsuke of them look like,) but I'm pretty sure it was based on the tapir (what connection tapirs had with sleep and taking care of bad dreams, I do not know.)

@@admiralpepper6933 I might get the information mixed up but the people who made this game partnered up with Modus Games to help out with the game but Modus laid everyone off last year, leaving the game, and the story mode incomplete and a abandoned. Basically these two last DLC characters is the very last update to the game which contain lots of bugs.

@@CyberGlitch-real I meant that both of them are based on the Japanese mythical creature, being the Baku. depictions vary but typically some sort of combination of a tapir or elephant and a tiger. So of course Nidra is “literally just Baku” cuz she is one y’know?

It started as an MLP game before Hasbro gave the devs a Cease and Desist, despite originally being non-profit. Lauren Faust (one of the creators of MLP FiM) decided to give them a hand as a result of the C&D and helped them turn it into its own game.
