Damnnn, this story mode has to better than any other 2d fighting game story mode, actually looks like a real single player adventure indie game
It's very unusual to have a fighting game's 'main' character be something other than an all-rounder or jack-of-all-trades, and when it isn't then it's a rushdown. To have it be the grappler is a complete first.

Arizona isn't really a true grappler, according to other players of this game. The grappler character would be her father, Texas, who's part of the Season 1 pass DLC.
55:08 as far as I understood it. The sprite language reads: "Has this dialog even been finished yet?" "Doesn't look like it." "Ran out of time probably."
And that's the only time it translates to English. If you look at any of the other dialogue by Winter Sprites (in the game files), it's all gibberish that may or may not have some kind of translation possible.

At around the 54 minute mark, you missed an entire sidequest in the basement with more predator fights. The entrance is behind the house, at the street that runs behind those houses. Post video edit: So glad you did both endings of the Oleander fight. They're both mostly the same, but one reveals more lore about Fred and his story.

The Longma Ball? You can actually find a total of 2 Longma Balls in Chapter 1, but it's not specified if Oleander takes both if you found both. There might be more Longma Balls in future chapters, and they might change custody a bit as the story goes on.

That's a super jump. The game teaches you how to do it both early on in story mode, and also in the tutorial, accessible from the main menu. To do a super jump, tap down very briefly (one frame), then up, plus a left or right direction if you want to cover distance. To do a short hop, just tap up very briefly. (This is also taught in story mode and the tutorial.) I find short hops and super jumps easier to do with a regular computer keyboard, rather than a game controller or anything with a control stick.

....WHERE IS CHAPTER 2 THOUGH?
Can't claim to know the details, but they're clearly ironing out the game. Last June saw the game updated to version 3.0 as far as I know. Guess they don't want to advance the story until they've got it all done.
Right now, the publisher wants them focusing on adding more characters, since that's what they're able to monetize for revenue. The only thing missing in chapter 2's development, last we heard, are the combat and platforming parts, but all of the overworld (pixel RPG parts) are finished. It's Velvet's chapter.
