PLEASE READ THIS COMMENT There is an error in the calculations in the video: At 3:33 I compared the wins of glowy ores to the loss of starry ores, which is not the correct ratio. If you win a war, you will ALSO GET 2.4X MORE Glowy Ores than Losing. The interpretation is the same -> Winning ores is still important I also completely didn't mention that you can get Starry Ores from the Wars as well - you get 2-3x more starry ores for winning than losing. There is a very clear difference in the old ores and the new ores. For starters the default ores are obtainable for users as long as you have troops. What I am trying to say is if a upgrade cost 22mil to upgrade if you wanted to you could grind for a whole day to get that loot as long as you have troops to dispose of. On the other hand there is the new ores which is hard capped daily and for wars (that also talk 2 days to do) is were the issue begins. it is extremely unrealistic to expect a f2p user or even someone who spends a little money buys to have hero that are both max level and has a maxed out ability. sure there may be no upgrade time on the hero gears, but that only encourages users to spend there money on these items because its instant. you could have a trash level hero with maxed out abilities if you can afford it (In my opinion i would rather have a maxed out ability over a hero level as more dps/hp comes from gears then upgrading your hero). now getting into the upgrades it is going to take a ton months to get a new hero gear to max because of how terrible the values for the loot is. this is clearly designed for people to spend money on the shiny ores as you receive much less of them but at the same time you are required more of when going through upgrades of gear. thus forth the game just like clash royal it is now p2w as the one thing that makes a hero useful (aka ability's) is now halted by the fact you that you do not have an efficient way to grind this loot out unless you pay. If you think otherwise let me know as the update has just come out but this is my take on it.
I think the point is it's supposed to be a slow progression while you lvl up heroes. Not max out ability early
I saw a video of lvl 1 hero’s with max abilities and a maxed army against a maxed out base. And he could still 3 star the base.
Welp even if you pay money you don’t get those ores. The hero equipment levels will truly show the players dedication, because it’ll probably take like a year to max them out if you grind your star bonuses and wars. Already someone in my clan was whining because he thought those update packs should have ores included.

I really agree, starting at a max th15 with lvl 1 equipment that isn’t the hero’s former abilities is such a drag. You basically have to catch up with a th 8 as a th15 which is ridiculous
a few ways to improve the ore distribution. 1. upgrading a hero gives ore It makes sense as it incentivizes upgrading the hero. Giving 1 or 2 levels for a piece of equipment of a similar lvl to the hero. 2. Builder base star bonus also gives ore. Gives people a reason to use it. I have maxed it. I only go in for the gold pass points and clan games now
What am I supposed to do if my heroes are nearly maxed from TH15?
@jee213_ cry in the corner with me. I am also pretty much Max heroes for th15. But I doubt this would be implemented for at least 3 months. But if they did it would greatly improve the reason to upgrade heroes
True builder base always seems useless. They need add a reward for the main base when you play in builder base. Like the 6th builder hut.
@@deonkriel1901 Treat it exactly like main base. Higher league means more ore with star bonus. BH10 will go higher leaving the lower leagues for lower BHs. Ore is a luxury resource making it far better to learn how to attack instead of baby dragon spam

Excellent breakdown as always. I think overall it's a good update for adding some variety to the game. Saw a couple comments here about how the equipment resources are time gated moreso than regular resources which I hadn't considered, but could be a negative. Will have to see how it plays out.
The thing that we're talking about is not about the ores but the equipment itself especially when they suddenly add equipment that you have to get with the gold pass
They never added hero equipment that need gold pass or that needs to be bought. I got my gauntlet and allready upgraded it to lvl 12 free to play. It took only 1 week and its allready decent lvl. They wont put equipment that you have to buy with money because they will lose 90% of free to play players in an instant.

i suggest for us goldpass and free to play players is maximize equipment first because now the hero potion will get you to max lvls depending on your townhall but your equipment levels doesnt benefits from the potion. use it for CWL tho and not for normal wars

Bro now that the hero potion boosts your heroes to max level, is it still worth it to upgrade them? Wouldnt be easier to just stack hero potions for CWL?

This update has made me glad Im in a good clan who wins wars, 46-4 out of our last 50. We war b2b so hopefully we will be able to make good progress with all the equipment.

im th 12 in titan and thats the good place to be tbh because loot really doesnt matter much when your mostly waiting on upgrades to finish rather than being held back by loot and you only want to mass farm once everything but your walls and heros are maxed
Hero levels seem less important now. The days of grinding not stop for 5 levels was to increase the ability. Now it is just small HP and DPS increases... imortant... bit less now. You now have to upgrade equipment for the ability... and those dam gauntlets have kept me from maxing hero abilities of any hero (black Smith currently going to 7 so will be able to get on that in 4 days)
I saw itzu max healing ability for Warden so i know the costs but it would be interesting to compare the league difference in days to max an ability
Im mid th12 but ive found that since i have time (2-4 hours a day) that low legends is great, i have giant arrow level 9 at this point with my mate still at 5 in gold league

This is a super interesting proposition. What it will depend on is what the cost of getting that equipment upgraded is, if that makes sense. This is a great point and I will definitely answer it after doing some math for the hero levels mattering video

It wont work if you want to use the new abilities. They will be at lvl 1 regardless of your hero levels. I already built the blacksmith. But for old abilities it will work

I cant find the ores in the shop. Its just not there for gems or medals
idk what bases you get in Titan but my loot is amazing. I get 1 mil + for each resource every single raid with sneaky gobs

Yes except for the fact that if your heroes were not maxed out before you built the Blacksmith you get really low gear levels. On my Th14 with maxed heroes they all got +15 gears to start with. On my Th13 with level 50-60 heroes they all got level 8 and 9 and 10 gears and lvl 4 gears for royal champion. I don't even want to build the blacksmith on any other lower accounts because the amount of gear levels you lose is insane in terms of ORES COST. If you aren't TH14 or TH15 with maxed out heroes then building the blacksmith will actually lose you tens of thousands of ORES just to get the gears on par with the hero levels later.

To be honest if we're talking about optimum value, that blacksmith deal is not it. But if you spend money often, it also isn't a "bad deal". It's just also not necessary cuz you're only skipping 6 days of upgrades

Personally, as a th13 its quite easy to maintain Titan, i have never had issues, or any stress. Also since currently its easy to push trophies with ram riders and cookie, i would say if anyone wants to do so, now is the best time.

The P2W issue is primarily focused around starry ores and epic equipment. Epic equipment is event only, and hence limited time. Starry ore has been said to also mainly be available only in events. We have no idea how we will obtain the epic equipment or starry ore, and it could end up being infeasible for f2p players. Extreme example: you get 1 starry ore per star you get attacking during the event. New equipment is around for a week, and costs 300 ores. That's AT LEAST 100 attacks in a week, PLUS EXTRA to upgrade the equipment. I don't even do 25 attacks on a week.l because I simply don't have time/infinite training potions. Oh, and this item singlehandedly breaks CoC balance and the next TH will be exclusively balanced around it. Oh, and it's never coming back, so if you don't get it in this one week you'll kiss goodbye to your chances of ever being able to play CoC at a competitive level ever again. So yeah, your choices are pay, or never 3* a base again once you reach TH17 I'm not saying that this WILL happen. I'm saying that this feature easily has the most POTENTIAL to be P2W out of any feature in the game. It all comes down to how greedy Supercell get.

I really hope they make heroes available for wars while upgrading in some way. Id be fine with it even with some kind of disadvantage. Say if you are upgrading your hero, then in the war u can use it, but with -5 levels. Obviously they want to make money off of people taking longer to get their heroes up, but with the current way things are, its sort of frustrating warring back to back while trying to level heroes that take days and days to upgrade.
they should make it to where you cant use the abilities while its upgrading so its basically just a super troop with alot of health and DPS

Little trick I've been doing which works great: U can just get over 5k trophies, then ur technically in legends league even if u dont sign up for it. Now u just have to wait that someone attacks you and puts you below 5k Trophies again so you can attack normally. Now u will get the legends league star bonus for attacking, as long as you dont drop below 4.900 again without beeing singed up for legends league! (So you can get the best star bonus and still attack as many times a day as you want)

I feel that going to titans is best or at least champs because at masters you get about 500 shiny ore compared to titan which is about 900+ the difference is totally mad and can't be ignored

In my clan....i suggested to make a new ore farming clan . That clan will be joined by all the players who arent active war participants or spclly HAVE THEIR HEROES ON UPGRADE. Since without heroes it will tough to win wars...and currently everyone will want to play war for ores even if they dont have heroes , which might end up affecting the war log of a clan with tons of losses. So , in our clan....when people have heroes can play war in the main clan , and when no heroes they can just simply play war in the other clan where they can just go complete the 2 attacks and come back in the main clan for rest of the day to get donation and stuffs

I'd recommend anyone at TH15 or 16 to stay in Legend League and learn how to attack. This is because you can't lose loot in LL. Keeping as much loot as possible is really important a that level, and the upgrades take so long at that level anyways, that doing 6 attacks a day will still get you to max storages by the time you are ready for another upgrade.
This. Legends league has always been the best way to get loot for me. I've been there for 3 years and never had a problem maxing everything on 6-8 attacks per day
I hate legends league so much because 590k per attack is pathetic if u ask me and 8 attacks a day is an issue sometimes, the loot in legends league needs to be buffed, right now i stay at titans 4800-4900 and i get atleast 800k to 1.2m per attack not including bonuses
@@Violate.. that takes a lot of time. I find 8 mil per day is plenty to keep all 6 builders busy and max out walls. Loot has never been an issue and I haven’t left legends league in several years
