Cashmere wouldn't be aggressive because this is her baby. There is no desperation in her actions, only the actions of a mother dog teaching her young some manners. There are no "lost causes" in dog families as they are eventually taught what they need to know.

Extremely helpful! My GSD just had her second litter a few weeks ago. It looks like she’s getting too rough with them at times but I have to remind myself that she knows more than I do.
A lot of it looks like play, but baby is being a little rowdy. This is why its so important to have well behaved, well rounded moms, and to keep the pups with her as long as possible. She will show them a lot of what they need to be balanced and healthy. This was ADORABLE

The mama is really patient, calm, gentle and never give up her puppy. Even she isn t losing her temper!!! She shows us how to teach babies :)

This puppy was desensitized by the mother as you can see in this video. The "aggression" you can see is out of nervousness and fear. The mother dog keeps messing with her puppy, because the puppy does not react with trust and submission but with fear. The mother dog, Cashmere is her name, kept invading her puppies space to show her that nothing "bad" will happen as long as she calms down. Cashmere trained her daughter. In another follow up video you can see that the puppy actually learned this lesson. In one litter there is often one or two puppies with more nervous disposition, who need this extra attention from their mother. Cashmere displays excellent mother dog qualities here. She is persistent, tries to get her puppy into submission mostly with body work and gentle teethless (that means she does not use her teeth and gums to hurt, with minuite pressure) mouthwork, she does not loose patience when the puppy is nipping her face, she even displays multiple microexpressions. What you can see here is a positive dog to dog interaction

It's weird, but some animals are better parents than parents. Both of my parents let the strong willed middle child who throw temper tantrums (even in public) basically get away with murder, but as the first-born expected me to be perfect. I couldn't get away with anything even perceived to be an issue. To me it was high injustice and hypocrisy, even as a young kid. The standard for being good didn't apply to everyone, and taught me that being good didn't often mean you get rewarded as a result. And with the third child, she was basically on her own and she was quite lonely...... My parents decided to parent us based upon our own personalities is what they said.... and apparently being a lonely child meant that you required less attention, and being a well-behaved child meant that the parents were more strict on you. Geez, so much hypocrisy.... my dad raged and cursed, but I had to walk on egg shells.
