Technically this isn't the Abomination, Dell Frye's creature is a completely separate entity, but he is the closest the 78 series came to having an antagonist like him!
Hulk vs The First. Also the only time in the series where Banner/Hulk fought another superpowered being.
@@GESSO217 Unless you count Thor.
I think some of this was based on The Abomination
@@LarsonFilms2 that was in the TV movies not the series
@@J-S.P I know, just sayin'.
I absolutely remember this episode when I was 13. Scared the shit right out of me!! It's the eyes, the music during transformation, the screaming. One of the best shows on television ever!!
R.I.P. Bill Bixby
Truly!😢 It seemed he had so much more to do.❤
It would've been his 90th birthday today.
😔😔😔
He was a great actor!!😢🙏🏻
The Frye Hulk scared the crap out of me as a kid.
Me too
Yeah. 😹
😂
Same bro
Me too
Best episode!! When I was a kid I shredded all my new school clothes to be just like the Hulk. My mom was thrilled!!!
Lmao
I only shredded my pajamas
I used to jump off like the bionic man...
@adu"pga😊
😅😅😅
Del Frye monster gave me nightmares as a kid, same as Bigfoot in the 6 Million Dollar man lol
Facts. Didn't he rip off Steve's bionic arm? Trauma for me as a kid😂
@@donavinrideout7841yesssiiirrr
Bigfoot was played by Andra the giant back then
@@donavinrideout7841 i think it was the other way around. steve ripped off (robot) big foot's arm. i could be wrong though :)
@@planetmayhem2012 He ripped both off. After Bigfoot took his and he got repaired.😂😂😂
Little fun fact Dell fryes creature is in fact dick Durock who also played swamp thing in the '80s movie
And in a TV Series on the USA Network.
I tried to tell someone one that but they couldn't believe that was him
I did not know that. Very cool! Learn something new every day!
I loved Dick Durock and Kari Wuhrer in the TV series of Swamp Thing. Thanks for that info bro.
Dude had some hardcore fillings in his back teeth.
ABSOLUTELY LOVED this series! - Bill Bixby was an ABSOLUTE LEGEND in this series! - SUCH a good actor and by all reports, a wonderful man 👍👍👍👍👍
Classic bizness
I love how he keeps getting closer looks at him like he isn’t within arm’s reach
In like do he need glasses, because dude is right in front of u
"Run bitch, run." 😂
Man in the episode when the other Hulk destroyed David's antidote to finally cure yourself and he started crying I could feel his pain somehow I just wanted to give him a hug
Brilliant episode & my heart went out for David when "The First" creature destroyed the antidote cure & David started crying 😞😞
You murdered him.
Me too. So frustrating to be on that position and lose so much potential.
Much better than the She-Hulk version. Pretty damn scary even for now
The Dell Frye creature was one CREEPY maniacal looking thing 😳
VERY scary
Hm.
Yep
This was the BEST show!!!
I remember watching this episode when I was kid!!! The Incredible Hulk vs The Incredible Geezer!!! 🤣👍📺
I loved watching this series growing up
Banner didn't turn into the Hulk, because he wasn't angry: he was scared.
Sometimes he was angry. Other moments he was scared. Or he was angry and scared simultaneously !!!
It's weird that he changed cause he was sad and crying
He could have
He was feeling everything. The loss of a cure. The anger and hurt.
Dr. Banner when angry or in danger would transform into the Incredible Hulk. In the Marvel comics series the more angry he would get the stronger he gets meaning his super strength. That is why he was able to battle immortal heroes and villains.
Dell Frye vs David Bruce Banner. The Incredible Hulk vs Hulk Frye.
Dell Fry not related.
@@user-infinite Okay!. Not related, very well, but later new people will come out to take into account the Marvel characters that were forgotten, so that they become canon in the MCU, for example such is the case of Dell Frye and Hulk Frye, but this result will be announced later.
David looks so terrified and thinking omg this is what happens when I transform into hulk
"Is that what I look like?" haha
>>My uncle after having his 6th beer and I spill his 7th by accident
There’s a Hulk episode where that exact thing happens very good acting in that one
When I was young this shit scared me.. I couldn't understand why his transformation music was more horror sounding lol dell Frye really wanted his arthritis gone 😭
it creeped me out as a kid too. 40 years later it's still fun to watch 👍
Rip Dick Durock
@@rolandbujeiro42 The excellent background sounds and music make you feel that as a kid !! That's the why The Incredible Hulk is unbeatable and sadly She-Hulk series is a complete BS !! How I wish a new Hulk TV series !! I had got my hope in She-Hulk,but after that BS,i'm afraid of future projects. New Marvel scr**** all up😖The Hulk of the 70s: the best !!
I have arthritis treatments as well. It works like a million bucks just like him. The other day I was really mad and I threw an apple at my TV when my hockey team lost. ARHHHHHH! Mad!
At 44yo, I was scared at this transformation. Omg! I scared here and still am MCU don’t have this level yet.
For me, I rather call Dell Frye's creature, Ravage. in the Incredible Hulk comics, a scientist named professor Crawford experimented on himself with Gamma Radiation transforming into a Gamma Creature named Ravage.
Yeah Ravage was also a villain in the Hulk game
In the Hulk comics back in the day a few years after the Hulk TV ended there was an old manical Hulk. I'm sure it was based on the TV show. Bruce was able to control the Hulk at the time(professor Hulk) and he had trouble fighting this guy cause he didn't have a mean streak.
Yeah I saw that in the hulk game with Eric banna he stole banners gamma power and became like him
This other Hulk was played by Dick Durok who also played the Swamp Thing
lmao 🤣 that transformation though 😂 🤣
It looked like Jay Leno.
Lmfao!!!
Both parts of The First are the most popular of The Incredible Hulk TV Series 💚
Which episode does this appear? I don't ever remember seeing this when the Hulk was on TV back in the 80s?
@@starflower9015 Season 4 episode 14
@@starflower9015 It's from a two part episode called 'The First'.
Definitely my favorite episodes of my all-time favorite show. 🔥🔥🔥🔥
Dell Frye's Hulk has a strong Frankenstein vibe to him.
This hulk haunted me for sometime
Wow he turned into my drunk gpa
🤣🤣🤣
...we called him "Hillbilly Hulk".
My second favorite story line after Prometheus.😊
In this episode, There was no mention of that term " Abomination"! He was just another diluted human being who used his own transformation to cause harm to others!
So Del Frye couldn’t figure out in 30 years that all he had to do was lay on the table for 30 seconds to become the hulk again?
More to.it than that, I'm sure
Because he was dumb as a brick as he was just the groundskeeper.
hilarious!!!
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Me when I hear the theme tune to eastenders
He had so much time to get away! He just kept looking and looking and looking and then looking again.
The first will always be the best episode ever. I glad I found the soundtrack to this episode.
Still better than anything in She-Hulk
They should have had more of that during the series. To much dramatic Fugitive stuff
You couldn't help but feel horrible for David when Frye destroyed the antidote!
I always wanted this to be a multi-part episode. 1 episode wasn't enough.
It was a 2-part episode
This show was watched more now then it was in the 80s
I love how he kept on looking trying to figure out if he had changed into abomination 🤣
Me encanta las películas del hombre increíble 😌
I remember when this series used to be on ITV2, this was a 2 part episode and they stopped airing it after they showed part 1. I never saw the end and still haven't. Been meaning to buy the boxset
Look up "Hulk fights bad Hulk" on youtube.
They have it on you tube and amazon prime
They are also available as individual series, as well as in a box set.
The old Hulk shows/movies were more like modernized Frankenstein to me
Way scarier and cooler than the current woke Hulk
Agreed. I don't like hulk talking like a Human.
Yeah an old dude in green paint with no muscles is scarier then a 8 foot tall 1,000 pound muscle gorilla. Yes the last few movies the Hulk sucked, no one knows how to use him, but in the first avengers that was comic hulk to a T.
Lol...no. There is absolutely nothing scary or cool about this.
Watching this transformation still sends chills down my spine
The music always brought me to tears as a kid at the end, such a great show for an 8 year old
Odd that David didn't turn into the Hulk when Abomination hurt him.
Lol. I was just thinking the same too. And it’s NOT Abomination folks!
David has to be really upset or abused to change.
@@jolly7041 Uh, Abomination grabbed his arm and threw him into.the wall. If he is as strong as the Hulk or even close to it, the pain would of been enough to trigger a transformation.
Yall obviously only watched this clip. David grows his green sac pretty soon after that. All part of the climatic fight.
@@dannyvestal299 Only in part two of The First.
Even though Hulk got this. That sucker still looks spooky as hell
This wasn’t Abomination but this Hulk was straight killing people on the episode!!! Hulk violent brother
I Truly Remember This Classic Iconic Hulk Episode The Old Man Was A Hulk Figure Just Like David Banner This Was Truly Too Cool 👌👌👌
David didn't turn into Hulk because of his mental fortitude in the situation. He knew him transforming would jeopardize him getting the cure
Lol can't put a laughing emoji on this one.
Banner’s hulk is intimidating. Dell’s hulk is just downright disturbing!
Bill Bixbys facial expressions in this scene were fantastic
This was easily one of the scariest things I’d ever seen as a kid and I couldn’t keep my eyes off of it!
I love the way David forgets himself because he's in scientist mode, focused on analyzing the metamorphosis and thinking "this is what it's like when I change..."
This had me fired up when I was a kid..
Banner:💭 "Damn, im screwed! I'm more scared than angry right now!"💭
THE EPISODE SHOULD HAVE BEEN A 2 HOUR MOVIE OR AT LEAST THE VERY LAST EPISODE OF THE WHOLE TV SERIES.
Thought he was turning into Palpatine for a second there
More like Palpagreen
Or more likely Morrissey from 'The Smiths'.
@@stephenalanmoore7278 LMFAO 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

@@wariokhabib245 I agree. Strict vegetarians like Morrissey always seem to have a beef with someone. In that clip, it looks like he has just eaten a very dodgy Indian curry.
That episode scared the crap out of me as a kid.
The final fight between the two hulks was epic. Even Bill’s acting during the hulk-out (before the above mentioned fight) was absolutely amazing.
Bruh this show is hilarious 😂😂😭
That's gonna be me showing up for the Holidays this year. 🤣
I laughed my ass hard when i first saw that face!
After Dell has transformed into his Hulk, you can see where the nose prosthesis has come unstuc on the side view. I never noticed that until this video.
Title Correction: Frye Hulk Grabs Dr. Banner's Wrist
miss the 1970s fun times and fun shows
I remember seeing this as a kid and I kept saying, wait until the Hulk gets you!!
Bruce Banner with confused surprised look. Xylophone intensifies.
I’m so glad practical effects like this are a thing of the past
They are much better than CGI
@@frenchyoathbreaker4095 Sometimes they are and sometimes they are not. In this case, no, practical effects are NOT better than CGI. The only way to get an accurate Hulk is to use CGI. Some things just can't be pulled off practically. Not without looking ridiculous.
@@SlasherIncorporated Practical is always better. As an audience member, you can see when it's something you can feel and touch. You can get a big actor and do creative camera shot, wire work and stunt work. It can be done. And if you cannot get the desired effect you can use CGI to make the actor move. Harry and the Hendersons showed that you can have a monster made via big man with prostetics.
This episode was sad because in the documentary of Hulk, it was explained that the emotions bill was displaying stemmed from losing his wife and son.
The best transformation
uh dude no
😂
Creepiest/scariest transformation was when Del was transforming with a payback smile .
Banner: "Please don't make me angry, you wouldn't like me when I'm angry" Dell Frye: "Please Make me angry, so I have a reason to MURDER you"
Frye clearly WEAPONIZED his gamma affliction.
One of my favorite episodes, Hulk is strongest there is!
This hulk was one creepy dude pure savage although when the incredible hulk first apoeared the first episode he was pretty brutal acting
What’s interesting about this episode is it’s not only Banner/ Hulk’s first time meeting someone of the exact same power as them, but it’s also the first instance where David truly sees what the Hulk looks like to people and why they fear him so much.
When you wake up in the morning after falling asleep on the couch after a mad drinking session. Lol 😮
This was before Hulk was strong enough to eat missiles, jump from planes, and throw tanks like ninja stars 🌟 Hulk was basically like a big green powerlifting champion
This man needs his glasses👀 How hard does he have to look
I love that show. I wish they would put it on tv agin‼️♥️♥️♥️♥️
That old Hulk was scary! Looked like Chuck Conners😂
When the old man turned into a hulk, I was like it just got scary real quick. But was surprised David didn’t hulk out, when the other hulk grab his wrist really hard. 😂. I learned at a young age, the reason to have a part 2 suspense.
Scared the shit out of me as a kid!!!!
I felt so scared for David Banner watching this like “hurry up and get Hulk man!Hurry!!”
The best ever hulk seen made period.
Wow!!!….. never knew they had an Abomination scene back then!!! Awesome!!!
He looked scarier than the exorcist 🫣
Thats the green goblin😂
I remember the 1st time I saw grandpa Hulk I literally 😂😂😂😂😂😂
The Evil Hulk was played by Dick Durock who was also Swamp Thing.
I used to call him the "wimpy hulk" when I was little 😂
Would have love to see the evil mind altered David Hulk vs Frye's creature. Frye's creature would have been torn apart like wet toilet paper
That’s not Lou.. F? Hilarious! Love David Banner!!
This is my best and favorite series by far of most hulk episodes
I got The Exorcist vibes.
Lou ferrignos, hulk while scary had a child like quality. This hulk his whole demeanor was terrifying 😲😲😲
Ladies and Gentlemen..... Mr Conway Twitty!
They legit just found some middle-aged dude off the street painters him green and said you're the abomination now hahahaha
He's not The Abomination. Whoever uploaded this clip titled inaccurately titled it "Hulk vs The Abomination". This isn't supposed to be an adaption of the character.
Don't forget the one playing as this hulk was the same guy who played as swamp thing in the 90s booth movies and the usa channel.
