Oh I found one. It was right on my wrist the whole time. Well I guess working on this motorcycle trying to find one there was a whole waste of time.

  • Wow, a blast from the past. My best friend traded his GPZ1100 in for one of these back in the day. Unfortunately a freak accident claimed his life very shortly after and this model of bike seemed to slip into obscurity pretty quickly which is a shame. This is the first mention I've seen of that model almost since the day of the accident some 35 odd years ago. Happy and sad memories all in one rush of nostalgia. I miss my bike crazy friend to this day though.

Check the oil, good, check for spark, good, check for fuel delivery, good, pull the pull cord about 20 times to loosen the cylinders up and then spray some starter fluid in the combustion chamber and it ran the first pull for 15 seconds. Did that 2 more times and it was running! It was so exciting! Now to just do the rest of the restore. I should record it and put it on KZhead!
