The only loser will be the idiot that pays for this circuit act. Mayweather and mcgregor are putting on a show that would make barnum and bailey jealous.

      @polivo0111@polivo01116 жыл бұрын
    • polivo, this stopped being a show when Mayweather pushed for the races to be involved. You better believe McGregor didn't get into this to be viewed as a racist. You think he really doesn't want to kick mayweather's ass? You think a champion in his physical prime wants to go down to a retired champ? If you think McGregor is doing this for money, you might have been right at first, maybe he did want to give the people a an exhibition show, but it escalated and got personal real fast. He wants to crush Mayweather, and Mayweather is going to have to ware him down, get him exhausted and knock him down because Conor will just keep coming.

Another thing they ignore, Floyd at welterweight was facing fighters who would come into the ring 10-15 pounds heavier than him. Most of his opponents were bigger and stronger, but he was faster and better To add to your point, look at what he did to Ricky Hatton. I think he could have KO 'D Miguel Cotto in the last round, but he tasted Miguel's and even made him bleed, so he played it safe.

  • I like floyd's American speech sentiment. And I've always thought that African american title only makes sense if white Americans were weirdly called European Americans, like he said. And I was born in England. Emigrated to slc ut at age three. I love England like floyd loves his African roots. Why not? But we both are just american.

    @joecook5689@joecook56894 жыл бұрын
    • This is true but if you speak to people they will claim Italian american or sweedish american etc. Being white is a mentality. I was listening to some old Jews speaking about it in a interview. They were talking about the first time they were called or claimed white was in america. They said they were asked if they were white or Jewish when getting on a bus. They looked in the back of the bus and the front and understood that if they said Jewish they be lumped in with "blacks". So they adopted being labeled as white to avoid that and get better treatment. I thought that was deep when I heard it. I've also heard blacks from other places tell me they were never referred to as black until they came to america...

  • Floyd's right. If a black fighter or athlete is loud, cocky, and charismatic he gets hated. If a white fighter or athlete is loud and cocky he gets praised and loved. Everyone hated the cocky Muhammad Ali. He wasn't loved by anybody until he retired. It wasn't till he retired with full blown parkinsons that everyone started to give him love and respect. McGregor has the same exact personality as a Muhammad Ali or Floyd Mayweather yet he gets all love. It's the color of your skin. That's makes the difference.

He doesn't use a high vocabulary, but you can sense his mental power. You don't get this far without having intelligence. Despite his power & prowess, you can tell dude is on another level. Like he said 'I know when to post things to social media, I know what to say, I know the moves to make .... And I happen to know cool people in high places". Salute this man.
