Primates are generally, like all animals, territorial over food, especially in captivity. Honestly, Tayari was unfairly "attacked" by Iriki and D'Jeeco. Iriki's belly doesn't look like she's starving for food. All of these gorillas look healthy. And for the comments about what they eat compared to other zoos, each zoo gets different food for the primates I'm sure due to funding, resources, and the availability of the fruits and vegetables at each zoo. Taipei does feed them more than lettuce. We've seen them eating other fruits and vegetables in other videos. They also get fed several times a day.

Even though there was a little drama with the food, they all seems to get something to eat. It’s great to see Jabali and Ringo able to play with their sleepy dad, and Ringo mom. I don’t see her playing with him ever, but I could tell she love him, always carrying him around

The ⭐️ is busy as a beautiful bee, but they must keep a eye on the star 🌟 so she is safe and Riki needs some one to check on him. Now , the star ⭐️ is moving around looking for her troop. You just have to love 💗 them. Big daddy finally came 🙏

Haoko troop gets armful of Eggplant and so many big carrots and turnips not to mention tomatoes and half heads of cabbage everywhere. They don’t fight over food too often. The zoo must have a big budget. Iriki seemed very hungry😢But score for Ringo! He got two big cabbage leaves!😊

Tayari didn't even do anything to be yelled at like that. My poor sweetheart. Usually she's causing some kind of mischief but not at that point. Jabali was so worried for his momma he hustled down to her. I hope Tayari wasn't afraid to come back up for more food.

只有Tayari會像棒球 補手。接動物園管理員空投的食物。 但是那天Tayari 運氣不好。沒有伸手接高麗菜 就被D'jeeco 兇。 D'jeeco Iriki在保育員投菜前就一直注視保育員。 在高麗菜還沒落地。D'jeeco已經移動。 可能是Iriki叫 再加上後背有Ringo。D'jeeco直接兇Tayari 不可以拿。 後來看到Iriki要搶Jabali手上 小塊菜。 不知道是因為 量多滿地菜 或 一片菜時 Iriki Tayari 可以坐在一起吃。 但是當 一片菜 VS 小塊菜 又開始搶食 ------------------------------- 很少看到Ringo爬mom身上。 很久沒看到 Jabali 拍 Iriki 阿姨 好幾次。Iriki室外草地上,趴 躺在D'jeeco旁休息。 很開心難得看到Ringo 一下找dad 一下找mom 也找Jabali 玩。

Not sure I like that this zoo has created a competition for food. The three adults are quite aggressive an the Silverback thinks the food is only his. You don’t see much food placed about it’s always thrown at them. An what little the kids get is grabbed out of their hands. Just saying Ueno Zoo always has an abundance of food all over an majority of the time the gorillas there don’t fight for food
Seems everytime the two sisters fight its over food! At least thats how i see it i used to think it was due to attention seeking behaviors or jealousy over D'j lol Food 🤷♀️
Great video. Thank you. This is the longer version of a frustratingly edited video I watched earlier this week. Here, I can see Iriki was literally watching the keeper and running to where she thought he would throw. Although she arrived where it landed, it was CLEARLY not intended for her. Except for children, foraged or food in close proximity are rarely contested. It was meant for Tayari. Because the second head actually hit Iriki, it’s hers but I don’t see where Tayari moved to take it and earn D’jeeco’s anger.

@@DITJRgorilla that’s a lot of food breaks! I’m not complaining though, I think one zoo underfeeds their gorillas, with not enough nutrients too.
