Logitech thinks they can release average products for large prices in 2024, when companies like ASUS, Razor and corsair have got on board with some of the trends, it shows how far behind logitech is. The real gold standard is wooting, all keyboard brands in the gaming space need to study wooting
logitech and zowie are the biggest esports peripherals manufacturers, so ye, they can get away with that
@SilverJoystix no keyboard is flawless, wooting is no exception here. But value for money, you're getting a lot vs what logitech is offering for 200 euros
@@SilverJoystix the worship will stop when someone else brings something inovative/gamechanger to the table they can't. you have competitive choices because wooting decided not to patent rapid trigger, and instead offer to the community. What has razer, logitech or any other big brand ever gave you? Talking about metal leaf contact switches in 2024 is... obsolete?
@@SilverJoystix wooting is the gold standard of specifically analog keyboards, qc issues aside. you somehow left that out in your comment. logitech is sending out 70 dollar keyboards for 180, with shit software. genuinely not sure where you're coming from
@@SilverJoystix Bunch of parrots, parroting on about Wooting, ain't nothing special about them or their web-based software! Other companies are now using HE switches are doing fine products!
The problems with this keyboard are so many, 1: No rapid triggers 2: No actuation control 3: Not hot swappable 4: No 8000 Hz polling rate 5: No USB hub (its not a need but would be nice for the price) Thats just off the top of my head. I mean come on, this isn’t some kickstarter we are talking about, its one of the biggest names in the gaming community. Also idk who tf are these supposed ”pros” they keep mentioning because that Keyboard is ass and no one will want to stand behind that.
I feel like when it comes to keyboards, Logitech approaches them like printers: High chance of them breaking down to get you to buy another one.
The Apple comparison is so accurate. I've been getting that same corporate feeling from Logitech ever since the G PRO X Superlight. They never innovate anymore, never release anything that anyone asks for, they change things how THEY want them and how they want you to use them, charge you 50% more for 50% less, ignoring common complaints (like double clicking) so they can get you to buy another one. All these things just scream the apple aesthetic to me and its just sad honestly.
I think they fell off starting 2022... G Pro x and G915 tkl were good and I still main them 3 years now but yeah, they don't innovate anymore.
LETS GO!! Back to 2019 and release this keyboard lol
No rapid trigger , it’s DOA
The Logitech we used to love has been long gone for years, at this point they are just a marketing company like every other big company out there.
Yeah rapid trigger would be good, but at bare minimum we gotta have it not look like a red dragon with a knob on the side
if someone wants a 60% rapid trigger keyboard they would just get a wooting and be done with it. logitech had a short period of innovation when they released the g pro and the g pro x and since then fumble the ball on every single product with absolutely insane prices. they sometimes make great products like the mx518 or the g19, but damn most of the stuff they release is honestly trash with logitech tax slapped on.
That hard case is exactly why it's worth $180. $50 for the board and $130 for the case
🤣🤣🤣🤣
@@TheTechne Glad I could give you a laugh :D Have an amazing day, Mr. Techne! God bless!
The timer started when the Razer Huntsman 60% came out, and made most gamers aware of 60% keyboards, since they were only really popular in niche keyboard communities until that point. The Wooting 60HE was the first keyboard to really combine the custom and gaming interests, and nobody has come close to making something competitive in that regard since. A 60HE in a Tofu Redux case with magnetic Jade Switches from Gateron will look, feel, and sound like a custom keyboard, while also being more technologically advanced and gaming-oriented than anything Logitech currently makes. It's silly that they would release this e-waste, when there's so much competition.
Last few years Logitech has just been releasing uninspired crap with insane price tags. Not to mention this keyboard is just too late. All in all I just miss the old days of Logitech actually making things for everyone not just "pro" players that game for an hour or two. I need peripherals I can use all day comfortably.
Yo kinda random question but if u could help me out rq; would you say the HyperX keyboards are still worth it in 2024? Like either the TKL or Elite2? Watched ur reviews on them before and they both looked great but couldn’t rlly afford them then. How well do they hold up?
Can you review the Akko MOD 007B HE too?
Hey techne, you thinking of reviewing the hyperx alloy 75% keyboard?
I was actually recently looking into them. But not sure if I’m gonna
Btw, your drunkdeer a75 looks so good.
I don't know if you've tried it yet but I would love for you to take a look at the Aula F75. It's an amazing keyboard with an even better price tag
Even a brand like Razer isn't spared from criticism, but then they dropped the Blackwidow V4 last year with hot-swap switches, actual custom keyboard specs and everyone actually liked it. Logitech releasing this now, more than half a year after Razer did that, is not a good look at all. They need to invest more money into proper R&D, not just follow gamer trends that eventually get stale by the time they release their own version.
i just got the turtle beach stealth pro for playstation and i can hear a lot of static. any asvise ive tried everything
I got the same headset from pretty much day one with no issues. I think there could possibly be damage to the drivers and would try to exchange them out with a new pair. Hopefully your replacement pair shouldn't have that issue and I hope you enjoy them!
@@ICON-11- hmm i never tought of that. thanks im gonna return them for anothera
buy it on sale?i have the tkl and i love it
There are better keyboards that are also cheaper.
Also fair warning for people wanting to get the royal kludge, I bought one a few years ago and it has a pretty large amount of input delay. Ontop of that, it had some weird key rollover when trying to A/D strafe in some games. It would just ignore inputs if you moved to quickly. Other than that though, it was good for the price.
My guess is that, being under pressure from Logitech's sponsored players, they came out with this as a stop gap measure while they continue to develop something that can better compete with Wooting, etc. That's the only explanation I can come up with, because I can't imagine Logitech just conceding the keyboard market, but I also can't imagine them honestly thinking this keyboard is the way forward.
this piece of hot garbo is 430 nzd for my region, 180 usd is 300 nzd. after gst/vat it becomes 345, now factoring the extra cost retails put on it should be no more than 370 nzd, yet somehow on logitech website its listed as 430
Logitech wants to believe they have enough of a brand reputation that they can now charge a "Logitech Tax" when the truth is they've fallen years behind everyone else. Their only claim to fame now is the Superlight. They'll sell a few to the die hard Logitech fans out there but whoever decided that the world needed this keyboard especially at that price point should be fired.
The RK61 is honestly such a classic. It’s like THE budget Amazon keyboard
man that dd a75 looks clean!
This is literally a rk61(but worse, somehow), and Logitech slapped on the logo and called it a day.
Logitech will be the next Nokia in a couple of years if it doesn't up its game soon. I'm a keyboard enthusiast and got a rk61 to use with my TV set and I can honestly say it sounds awesome right out of the box. Just a quick tape mod and some extra foam maybe and you're good to go.
Dang Nokia use to make a solid phone back in the day 😂
Get a GK61 Optical and roll with it.
Can you maybe do a review on the “Drunk Deer G60”? Or some budget RT keyboards. All RT keyboards are expensive, but we might have some hidden gem among those cheap options.❤
Good stuff Techne
If we were in 2019 this board would have been a good choice, albeit a bit expensive.
For the 180$, i decided to order the Wooting and join the club. I would buy this Logitech board if it was 150 or less and the scroll wheel you could click in. Otherwise not worth it. Corsairs 60% board was my top pick but cherry mx was sold out everywhere. What i want is a 60% board with media key like apex pro.
So Techne has now been provided with his last Logitech product... ;) Only thing I would disagree with is the ABS is cheaper than PBT... not in my experience. GMK or Drop DCX nice ABS are much more than a set of nice PBT caps.
lol, hopefully they can take constructive criticism. But as for basic ABS vs PBT some companies have told me it’s cheaper, but again this is just for basic style and caps.
make a board like the wooting 60he but make it 65%. take off 10 grams of the gpx 2. how hard is that to find out lol
we the people are the ones who are stupid for thinking that logitech will innovate 😂😂
I've always been a big fan of Logitech, but I'd be lying if I said they're staying on track. I'd like to see a refresh of the G915 with hot-swappable switches, and frankly more thock. G502 and powerplay is still the best mouse and pad combo.
Gaming keyboards get better happy for the younger players my first keyboard was the legendary G15. So sad that Logitech isnt pushing invention anymore
Yeah they missed the mark one too many times and they have been way behind for years now. They are just a marketing company, all bark no bite. Even the Superlight 2 was kinda just there idk. Thanks for making this video btw, also the corsair K65 Plus looking sounding good stock btw lol
Men LT has released good stuff, but the the prices are killing their products.
I don’t like Logitech since yesterday 😂 it was my favorite but g hub gives you a lot of input lag… I accidentally closed it and my game was very smooth… even on high ping… next mouse won’t be a Logitech one… and that’s a shame because I love g pro x superlight
Great video, the Logitech branding does lure me in, so seeing this board is sad
With that extra 130 USD from buying the royal kludge keyboard, you could buy a good wireless mouse and probably still have some money leftover.
I feel like with this board Logitech is years behind everyone else. Also that we're stuck using their same three switches is wild. At the price point they're selling this at just get a Wooting60He. I used to love Logitech but they're boards have always been slightly above average def not worth what they're asking for it imo
I got email from Logitech about this product, and when I saw it was wireless, I thought WOW did they make analog key wireless??? Then I realized it's just regular ass 60 keyboard without anything to stand on... Also 60 is actually hindrance for me, when I constantly use navigation cluster in daily basis. I actually didn't buy Wooting 60He because of this form factor I refuse to accept... so when they open preordered for 80He, I jumped in immediately.
In my country Indonesia logitech pro x 60 is $179 if i convert in USD, but in Indonesian market I can get wireless keyboard with hotswap 5 pin + south facing + gasket mount keyboard for $60 - $150 price point
True bro on $60 you can get an aluminum gasket wireless barebone, just like mine, why tf would people even defend this shit product 💀💀
Seems like Logitech's PR and R&D have been living under a rock the past few years. 😅 The lack of awareness as to how much the keyboard scene has changed + lack of initiative to fully adapt is a huge L. They didn't just shoot themselves in the foot, they pretty much strapped themselves with boom sticks and ran with the pins off 😅
how in the world are you going to sell a keyboard for this much and not have rapid trigger on it what is the point
Logitech becoming the new Glorious...
azoth w/ snow switches has entered the chat
The pros argument is so funny, like yeah they're all about to jump off their wootings for this lmao
I just want a super nice and updated 60% keyboard but make it look clean and minimalist, no knobs or touch screens or or led screens or anything’s, just a plan 60% keyboard with everything else
This exactly. I like the look of this board, if only it was Hall effect at this price
@@chaniibak7702 yea just all the bells and wishes but make it clean and minimalist, no extra crap that no one wants
Most-all 60% KBs are minimalistic, hence why they are 60%. They usually experiment with 70% and above.
@@BelieveIt123 I always see stupid crap on 60/75 percent keyboard, like all of these in the video
You can find the Steel Series pro 60 wired for 140...nothing crazy on it and its clean and the switches are adjustable and the keyboard doesnt sound like trash lol
They say it's what the pros wanted but honestly watching valorant vct most pros are using a wooting. Logi has been so lazy these past years they are really doing the bare minimum.
holy royal Kludge!! lol I won a cash cup with one of those lol i learned KBM on Royal!!! they are goated for the price!! i dont care what anyone says!!! i love my wooting but will always have a place for royal Kludge!!!
a big problem with logitech is they seem to only listen to the pros and ignore everybody else, problem with that is most pros dont know a damn thing about hardware and are unaware a world outside of logitech exist, gone are the days logitech used to innovate now they just rely on hype and brand recognition to move product rather than actually making something good
Logitech and other big brands don’t listen to anyone outside of consultants who assist with their ESG scores. They focus on what they can mass produce and distribute globally. The whole talking point about “listening to the pros” was probably an email survey sent to someone who already has a Logitech sponsorship deal. And that survey had limited responses.
get a gammakey 75 tkl he its only 90 dollars or euros and has rapid trigger and hall effect switches latest tech its not so good like apex pro or wooting but its half the price dont get the pro x its way behind
I’m actually glad they did such a bad decision to sell this keyboard at this amount of cash. They’re gpx also is getting behind the competition. When they will look at sales then, maybe, they will innovate like they used to .
Overpriced as heck tbh, if I’m spending $180 im just getting the Wooting
facts!!!
facto
Or an entry level custom at that price
Na all the keyboards you show have nothing to do with Logitech. It’s the wooting that people wanne beat with big brand as Logitech every time they release keyboards no rapid trigger is a big L
Logitech can actually do better. They just got to go back to their g pro x superlight days and see how that became the standard. Instead of just saying that's what the pros want because I don't see no pros using it. Take a peek into current market and see what consumers want not just the so called pros.
What if this is what their consumers want? What if their consumers are built "a bit different" these days?
God crazy how all the prebuilt brand trash keyboards you showed as an argument SUCK, the way is going any HE for gaming and custom for anything else
$180 is too much for too little.
i hate it because its overpriced big brand stuff. you can easily find better quality for far less money. it doesnt just go for logitech either. most of these big brands.
Because the tech is 2 yrs old or more and it's way overpriced and sounds like trash. You can get a way better sounding board for much cheaper.
What are the chances of you living in southern Mississippi? 👀 Guy I see on marketplace has your profile pic. I'm wondering if it's a fraud 🤣
yeah man, lol! BTW I use to skate at that crappy Biloxi skate park in your vids back in the day a bunch as well.
@@TheTechne no shot 🤣 that's actually wild. We might have crossed paths at some point then lol What a small world lol this is perfect. Now I know where to find local electronics after you're done reviewing them 🤣
It's a nice keyboard. 60%, G-hub integration, wireless & goes well with my white Superlight 2 & Pro X 2 headset. I'll probably get it when it's on sale in a few months. I don't use that fancy Wooting stuff like rapid trigger anyway. Just give me tactile or clicky switches & I'm good. I guess I'm just a simple guy.
Too expensive
It's an overpriced garbage, what'd you expect?
Thank's now i can hate that Shitboard 😛
go figure... yet another foul ball from logitech
Logi keebs are trash, it's just that simple.
logitech don't innovate anymore..
Dont be a fool, they dont put any effort into making something decent, innovating isnt even on the table
First
In my humble opinion, a true gamer wouldn't care less what keyboard they're using. Much more paying $100+ for an overhyped, "esports tournament", "endorsed-by-a-streamer" gaming peripheral from most companies. Sheesh... and at the end of the day most guys will fight over which keyboard "sounds better" Like what the heck???
This is nonsense. A good peripheral is a tool. Once you get a little bit older, you will understand that you achieve the best results when you have the right tool for the job. Simply because someone is a "gamer" doesn't mean they don't deserve to have discernment when it comes to selecting this tool. Gaming companies need to aspire to be best in class. Logitech is content with staying behind in detention.
@@SilverJoystix Then why buy more if one already has found the tool that achieves the best result? Just to be cool? You cannot plug all of your keyboards into one computer. It is a waste of money.
having a keyboad with low latency, low actuation distance and a smoth key travel does matter for gaming, it allows you to be much more precise. The average keyboard made for typing is not suited for gaming, most of them got huge latency. My old mechanical cherry keyboad for example has 20ms more latency than my gaming keyboard, its a night and day difference
