In 1976, the Kommunar Children's art school was opened. During its existence, more than 2 thousand people graduated from the school. Many of them continued their education in specialized universities, studied and worked throughout the Soviet Union and abroad.
256 children take classes in drawing, painting, composition, sculpture, art history, and graphics. 12 teachers conduct educational work, 8 of them are our graduates.
A huge part of the work that is carried out at the school is active exhibition activities - city, national, international competitions and festivals of children's creativity; reporting exhibitions of graduates, teachers and students. Design of various city events and much more.
Alchevsk children's art school has become a kind of aesthetic center of the city - an organizer of children's creativity, a base for pedagogical and aesthetic research in the field of artistic education and education of children and youth.
