Yup,the videos are great but I think they are better suited for Techquickie

If turbonerd becomes a 30+ episode series with a playlist on your channel, i will be the happiest little LTT fan
Most employees when the boss is out: "Let's screw around and do as little as possible." LTT employees, apparently: "Let's bust our asses to make valuable, informative content, teehee."
Exactly! Must be a cool place to work!
These are also the guys who are always wincing at Linus' sloppy methods. So I knew this one was going to get really into details :D
Dennis: live laugh Liao
Linus: *drops hardware more aggressively*
the first one is praxis
Seeing Anthony nerd out and go down a rabbit hole explaining how something works is always a gift. He always makes it informative yet accessible to people who don't live and breathe computers like him.
Turbo nerd edition has all chances to become my favorite series
I agree!🤪
Next episode they should 3d print a FGC-9, in fact, they could make a factory
@@RandyRandersonthefamous I think it could be better if they continue the route of PC Components, but, who knows🤪
Perfect balance between in-depth and general knowledge. Plus super helpful by showing mismatch between market expectations and sensible design decisions. Like tiny mobile cams with endless megapixels. Thanks!
@@maximilianheinrich2537 I agree with this very beautiful words.
I'd love to see a whole "turbo nerd" series about motherboards, and other electronics in-depth. I totally get that these aren't the super flashy videos that will go trending on KZhead, because of how niche some of the stuff is, but many of us in the core audience really appreciate this.
Absolutely why i was first introduced to this channel years ago.
Storage would be a cool one
PREACH! sooo hyped for some more turbo nerd content!
This actually really good content, less joke, more information, less linus-y. Please do more

I like it. it has the Linus type presentation with the info.
As an electronics engineer, I'm really impressed with the deep cut.
The cutout and presented result was definitely on-point, but understanding the mechanics of the simple circuit does require some prior basic knowledge about EE, such as charging/discharging Inductors (AC current when discharging right?), diodes/resistors, and dangers of shorting the circuit.
@@knightblad5631 I also thought that was the weakest part of the video. It explains it on a very basic level, so basic that it doesn't really explain anything. Like why is the switch with the diode in parallel necessary? Why does it fry the cpu if both switches are open? Also the flow of "electrons" doesn't make sense to me.
@@Crallux Wouldn't approach EE stuff thinking about electron flow. Think in terms of volts, amps and ohms. Much easier and more useful to do it that way.
@@alexanderkuhn2298 You can think about them as Liquid Pipes as well very good way to understand how Ampers and Volts and Owhms(resistence) works

MOre turbo nerd series would be good. Targetting one or two points in more depth.
Nah, Linus already does enough below average series, another one like this would hurt his channel.
At some point Linus said he wanted to get LMG to a point where he can leave without worrying about the company. This vacation was proof he achieved that goal. Such good content!
Better without linus imho.
It's not his 1st vacation actually. He took a free week during summer as well. He honestly could just become a CEO and not appear in front of the camera ever again, but this dude just likes doing it, so I don't see that happening anytime soon.

Please do more of these Turbo Nerd videos. I really enjoyed this - I'll have to re-watch and read up on some stuff to understand some things in more detail, but this is awesome.
I really liked that there was like 3 hosts on this, I dont know if was hell on filming but it really set a nice pace and each segment inside this major subject , and it made them feel distinct.
IF LTT starts doing very in-depth videos like this, I'll watch more of them
Never going to happen, ltt is like the gateway drug to get you started but the truly indepth things are on other channels that are as a rule of thumb always gets lower views and less subs.

Yes to more Turbo Nerd videos -- this video is probably one of the best things I've seen in LTT in years.
Such an insanely complex piece of technology when you really think about it, its incredible. 300,000 time PER SECOND. Just wrap your head around how fast these things happen on such a tiny scale. Fascinating, this is one of the areas that my love of Computers in general is built on, just the sheer amount of Engineering these things have. All happening without the user having any idea just how much is really happening, and then you get into how memory works which is even more mind blowing. It's all just so cool to me.
PLEASE MAKE THIS A REGULAR SERIES! I love how in depth and detailed these are!
This is like a middle school team presentation, Anthony you take the CPU and go first, James, you explain the RAM after Anthony, and Alex goes last with PCI, we put it all together, and voila.
Middle school ? I've been doing that all throughout engineering school
Yea but you'd be surprised at the number of people that don't know what CPU stands for let alone what in the world Ohm's Law is.
Middle school team presentations are preparing you for life (or trying to).
@@Drewsterman777 My I.C.T. teacher in school taught the class that the CPU is the big box with the power button on it. I and my fellow nerds were like, "Uh... Great video. A lot of the stuff i had to read through and interpret some science to glean understandings (20 years ago) of dual channel mode, IPC and controllers, PCI2 and 3 bandwidth. Serial transmissions versus Parrarel transmission styles and more. This stuff is not rocket science especially when it is explained at this level or around this level. So good for LTT to put out the next level up of detail and some of the science behind the magic and the fun ! Seeing the diagrams for DDR vs DDR2 was enough to melt my young brain back then. KZhead really is a difference maker for turning dry content into accessible and enjoyable content ! and LTT certainly seem to be at the top of this game.
