On top of that Texas is a state that has failed to regulate the very water-wasting Bitcoin industry. Bitcoin uses specialized computers around the clock to validate transactions. All that computing power burns through a lot of energy. And like other data centers, crypto mines also use a good deal of water in their cooling systems to keep machines from overheating.

    • It's not like Idiocracy, at all. Your lack of understanding is totally disrespectful. You have no clue how poor these people are, especially in Chiapas- the poorest state in all of Mexico, with 98% of people living in poverty and 50% living in extreme poverty- and how few resources they have. The government in Mexico is owned by two things: the drug cartels and corporations. The people do not have any say over Coca Cola's behavior, and they drink the cheapest thing that they can get.

AMLO chose to "seed clouds" in 2020, 2021 and 2022. He's been inaugurating dams in Northern and Central Mexico, but no plan on how to fill them. There is a project for a huge desalination plant in the Sea of Cortez with the US to supply water, but nothing else in the Pacific coast.
