trevor is such a mastermind
I have no confident in tj after i realize sandhagen train here, even tj is my favorite fighter when he is active
@@bochen6716 cory is gonna school TJ, hes too old now way past his prime, fighting in a stacked division with young guns.
@@daemondost7168 man i kind of agree because cory switch looks more smooth, but tj is my first favorite in ufc then izzy
The best in the business!
He has a clear emphasis on the basics.. Which is clearly working well for some of his team
I just watched Trevor explaining footwork for 10 minutes I feel ike ive already learned so much lol
Me too
The UFC has been missing out of in depth interviews and videos on MMA gyms, training, and coaches. I dunno why they haven’t started filming content like this more.
My guess is that teams aren't too keen on having too many cameras there during their training camps. Wish they would get more of this kind of content though!
Because except few nobody gives a fu*k .lol
@@richardsong8852 Yea, and it's in house people (or respected people like Will Harris) that the main gym people know and trust (and most of the footage is actual useful sparring footage, and some extra for youtube fans and gym promo). Can't have randoms walking in and saying we're going to record you without it being specifially 4 a event
The gyms have to keep them top secrets to have the edge over the competition for sure.
@@Dare-Knight just us die hards
I legit thought that was Michael Johnson training with gaethje😂😂😂😂😂😂
haha same)))
Has to be related I was thinking the same shit lol
I remember seeing clips of them training together. I thought it was Johnson was well lol.
Facts lol
Really like this video and this type of content. Hope it becomes a regular series on this channel where you travel from gym to gym and highlight them like this. It’s awesome to watch.
They'll do much more if there's an incentive obviously. This should have 10x the views it has right now.
There is so many gyms he could visit. I hope he does one on tiger muay thai
🙏🙏
@@cheetoyeeto1232 agree with you it’s pretty pathetic that people can dance on tiktok or make videos about stupid shit on YT and get millions of views and this type of stuff is at 80k views it’s a shame but respect to the owner of this account for uploading this masterpiece
Where is usman??
Omg. I never get tired of hearing from Justin Gaethje and coach Trevor Wittman! Can't wait to watch and LISTEN to their wisdom. Thank you Full Reptile!
Justin is gonna be one hell of a coach when he’s done fighting if he chooses that path. Same way khabib is killing it as a coach now.
Always like to see gaethje
The levels to fighting is mesmerizing to watch.. The attention to detail and the fact that there is counters to counters to counters and so on - there's infinite knowledge. Developing a style that works with your physical attributes and then developing that style so deeply that your confident enough to employ it against any size or styled opponent is crazy.
Well said . The heavier and stronger you are , the less counters you have to remember. I'll say that for sure lol
The sweet science
Full Reptile is killing it. This was such an insight to Elevation, one I've been wanting for a while.
Trevor Whitman is an exemplary coach. Brilliant mind. Great video guys!!
Are you trolling?
@@Hello-ri9dd you are joking right?
@@Hello-ri9dd LOL
Not complaining at all but I can't believe this content is free and full to the brim with gold. This is how coaching looks when you do it not just correctly, but they're working harder, getting more done and it looks easier because it's pinpoint focused on what's actually going on, that's the next level.
Gay
This is bout to be a copypasta lmao it's too gay I cannot handle it 😂😂
@@la-li-lu-le-lo9444 sir I hate to inform you, but I think you are in fact the gay one
@@cosmicqueso3570 "That's the next level, the Full Reptile level" Is that not gay as hell? Lol
@@cosmicqueso3570 alright Benny badass lol shut up dude
6:50 Tony vs Gaethje was perfect example of that overhand counter on a lead step the whole time. Whitman’s teachings exemplified!
was thinking the same thing
Justin set him up with some nice jabs that tony walked onto so he could counter that lead step with the overhand, its mad how they set shit up at that highest level
Tony hasn't been the same since the surgery and those two weight cuts before the Justin fight. His body never recovered
Now I know how Usman was able to drop burns with his jab he always caught him stepping in on his lead leg this is beautiful
Trevor has to be the coach of the year, imagine securing two belts on one night. A legend
Coach of the year? I think he'll be considered one of the very first, and one of the very best MMA coaches ever.
💯 Especially if Sandhagen wins his interim title fight, Kamaru & Rose defend their titles, and Gaethje beats Chandler
Locked in now ^^
Trevor Wittman’s whole discussion on timing is pure gold. This kind of stuff is what separates the great from the rest.
This is like a mini instructional video and a documentary in one. I love this!
This doc is amazing. This is what fight fans want. Behind the scenes training. The tips from Trevor are so eye opening. He should also be an announcer during UFC broadcasts & explain what's going on like Cruz does. Those are the best play by play/color guys.
Trevor is always in main events..like Din Thomas. They bring some what trio on the desk can not see.
Back in the day he was before they replaced him with din thomas
This content is incredible. Best MMA channel on KZhead
🙏
@@brianfantanamcsexpanther9290 - I see you thanking everybody for their praises. What is your role in this if I may ask?

nah, will harris on another level
Beautiful editing. Awesome job with everyone involved with this one 🙏
🙏
Trevor just doing his thing: *The entire comment section in absolute awe* Guys a goat.
As a boxer wanting to go professional this is so amazing to learn.. I’m soaking up all this knowledge for my game 💯💯
Coach of year, genius in the sport 1. Usman 2. Justin 3. Rose 👏👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻 Hello from Kyrgyzstan🇰🇬
This is a fantastic video. There needs to be more of this. Watching high level coaches working in real time is amazing
I know that Usman gets a lot of hate, but could Whitman find any better trio of fighters to focus on?
He doesnt get hate anymore I think those days are behind us.
I mean, seriously. Between Gaethje, Rose and Usman, that might be the 3 most talented trio of fighters in UFC history. Oh shit, Corey Sandhagen trains there too???
I think it would be cool to see him work with Robert Whittaker, Cody Garbrandt, Aljo, Max Holloway and Mackenzie Dern
@@Darksagan The idiots still don't like him. They just know that it sounds stupid to criticize him until he loses. Same thing happened with Mighty Mouse.
@@Darksagan Are you drunk? The dude totally still gets a lot of hate. Every video I see a "He's so cringe and unlikeable" or "I hope he gets Ko'd his personality is so bad."
Mr Mistry, you knocked it out of the park sir.
This was the most insightful piece of MMA content I've watched! Really enjoyed it.
It’s cool that they they actually have guys that’ll help you with your mindset, seems like such an awesome place to train!
Thank you for the amazing video! This is the perfect example of quality content. Content where you can't even get anywhere else unless you're there on the mats with these guys. Brilliant insight. Please do more if you can! (maybe with other MMA teams?)
Thank you so much for this Film. I cant preach enough how much I appreciate Trevor Wittman. MMA has been a passion of mine for a little over 2 years now and I feel that I got such an advantage over most guys just buy studying his knowledge and techniques!
I love this. Explaining to an actual fighter that has questions rather than to the camera. This is really well done.
It's amazing the knowledge a trainer has, without having been in Professional combat. Pure wisdom and study
This is so well done. I love this behind the scenes stuff, I find it really interesting. The mma community needs more of it
only 5 mins in and already loving this, could listen to trevor talk about fighting all day
Beautiful boxing angles and footwork set ups for Trevor👍
okay we all now Wittman is a freaking genius alright, I don't have to write this down again. Instead I would like to point out how positive their atmosphere is. No hostility, no bragging, no dumb Team Alpha Male bullshit, just a common cause and hard work with positive, relaxed people. Just great. You don't build that overnight.
Well you’re only seeing them when they know the camera is on them. You dont know what its like when the camera isnt rolling.
Lol yeah man it’s good to see, but it’s a sad realization of others gyms and how they prioritize “toughness” and the reality of it is.. it’s a business and a lot of these coaches at gyms just want it to be packed for their own financial reasons. so they influence they’re fighters to never rest/fully recover and preach listening over actually thinking... I’m on vacation and stopped in a boxing gym, I sparred a kid from Seattle today and he was eager, an confidentially claiming he knew what he was doing. Wanting to get straight to it. Tryed to teach him a few things but he was not interested claimed he had shoulder issues, meanwhile he’s like 19.. suggested stretches an he didn’t wanna hear it. terrible attitude, sad to say. I hope he actually never fights... he is going to get hurt lol #respecfully.
This is some GOLD in terms of content and footage😎
Next level video
We should be thankful to watch this!
Also to the editor, Love the framing when you showed Justin and Trevor Whitman explaining their process and relationship. Well done!
Love the video - thank you. Nice to see Justin using trips. What an incredible team.
Omg just the first few secounds of that video goose bumps just like in a western cowboy shooting ! 😍
wow, all these great fighters. and neil magny is there too
Lmao 🤣🤣
Amazing. We need more of this
Too bad Usman wasnt here that much, it would be nice to hear from him a little too.
Right like why show us Usman if he's not in the fucking video
Exposing his roid induced bubble gut in the thumb nail 😂
anatomy of a fighter has got a bunch of usman footage
This is unbelievably amazing content that we hardly ever get inside the MMA community. I always want to see this sort of stuff and the behind the scenes footage and all that it takes to build up and grow over the years. These people live such active and dedicated life's and how could you not respect these people! I hope to see more behind the scenes footage. It was always either UFC shorts or highlight reel clips on KZhead, so to have a short of mini documentary of behind the scenes footage is amazing!
🙏
Let's go! Just watched Dan's breakdown show on BT sport now this. Nice Raptors
Love the opening! The font, the music, the scenery...very Tarantino-esque, specifically the Hateful Eight. Kudos to Full Reptile team!
🙏
Reminded me of red dead redemption 2
hateful eight is dog ass
Could listen and watch Trevor all day err day
Some good dudes there at Elevation
If we were in an ancient times, Trevor Wittman would be worth a 100 man, for his mind alone. If you wanna beat his fighters, you should kidnap him before the fight camp starts, for he is sure to bring out the best from them and than add little extra.

Love watching coach Trevor Whitman teach counters, at 4:40! He is fast! Some knowledge for that paying attention!, GOLD! "You are not countering a punch, you are countering the lead step" Trevor Whitman
This is awesome! Great content. In a dream world you would get to stay in Colorado and Elevation for a month(at least) and give us more content from there. But other gyms is of course interesting too. keep it up
Thank you for this incredible content
I'm ear to ear smiling looking at the breakdown of this FOOTWORK
What another great bit of footage from the raptors, such a cool insight into a great team and their fighters. We’ll done lads! The UFC is all the better for having a crew like your involved. Hopefully they’ll let you back at the events soon enough
I just found my new study video for both striking & grappling days
As someone who has never trained mma or a single combat sport in my life, even though I like to hit the speed bag and I watch the sport whenever I can. I know nothing about the craft even if I like to think so when I'm talking about up coming fights with my buddys. Really helps to put things in prospective
man this is Awesome! Nice Work Full Reptile

Coach T is such a G. Love him
Spartacus word be proud of the worries .gods among men.keep it up legends.
some great trainers at this place.
3:59-9:25 is just absolute gold. Thank you Trevor Whitman and Full Reptile.
I got the part about timing the lead foot to counter. What did he say on countering the rear foot?
With the rear foot, he said to jab at the opponent when their rear foot is mid air and about to plant. The best way is to land the jab right before the rear leg plants and when it does plant follow up with the cross.
This is gold
bro i rewatch this and trevor teaches somethin new everytime
gaethje is just so humble man. great champ. never cocky or something. lots of respect
