The one thing I would recommend to new players is to choose the brawler that you enjoy to play.This helps you to be motivated to continously play the game
Yeah, i agree. Really I think this guide is mainly useful for people starting a new account other than their main as when you're that low down in trophies it really doesn't matter which brawler you pick as long as you find them fun. For example when I started a new account, even though I've had 14 wins in a challenge playing with randoms before I picked Darryl over penny as he's one of my favourites. Also he can carry matches on his own pretty easily when you're low in trophies, which penny can't as easily

It was the 2nd 15 win challenge ever so that was kinda cool, but I haven't got that high since as I quit a couple months after for a year or so and when I came back the playerbase was a little better than back then on average. I could maybe get like 12 wins with a good run now max.

As a person that is maxed, getting into the high trophies/competitive phrase might not be as fun as you think, so newcomers, I would just pick the brawlers I like and think is fun, which such as Edgar is fine as it is pretty fun to play. No stress, but still if you are aiming to be competitive this video is still a great guide!

I still play my maxed account, but the funnest thing I did was make a mini. I have more fun playing with my mini account due to the lack of stress.

For new players, I think it is essential to choose Darryl in their 15-days reward. He is much easier to play, especially for new players, he is more fun (imo) and he is much more "forgiving" 'cause he has high health and damage. Penny is a better brawler right now, but I think new players might struggle with her since she is more team-based than Darryl and actually requires good aim and overall skills
He is not. For "brand new" players. They wont know when exactly to roll in or when to play aggro, Penny is a much more safer pick for noobs. For good players who have already learnt the mechanics, darryl is good
I agree, especially since newer players mainly push through Showdown. Darryl is a far better Showdown Brawler.

I think Dynamike is a lot stronger now since his last buff. I've been finding myself being matches up against and dying to more Dynamikes now.

Emz is a very solid pick specially for new players. Was the first brawler that i really really liked. Easy to hit shots and new players always fall back qhen they’re hit and with emz that means they take tones of damage making EMZ the goat against new players 😂. It can be tricky if you are facing long range brawlers or brawlers like mortis or edgar but order than that, go for emz all the way
I know Kairos picked Bo as a good first epic brawler, but Emz feels way easier to fire her shots off and is a really good way to deal with the incoming tanks that you'll inevitably have to deal with. What I will give Bo though is how effective his super can be against new and unsuspecting players, but sooner or later your opponents will get better at avoiding them making his super not great at much besides creating deadly chokepoints. Also if it were me I'd say to pick Byron sooner, the long range plus supportive healing makes him really good in bounty and any open map that needs brawlers of his range
Best advice here: If you're not trying to be competitive click try on the brawlers to decide which one you want. It's perfectly okay to pick based on design, attack style, or both. Also, can someone explain the random letter in the bottom left of the video?

Poco, even though he doesn't deal crazy amounts of damage, is just insanely good. Shots are almost impossible to miss and so is his super. Absolutely perfect for new players and is always good no matter how high your trophies get
His damage star power allows you to carry in bb, it takes enemies by surprise
I played with Poco today and he literally carries everyone haha. Will lvl him up to 11.

Great list Kairos!! The only thing i would change is Buzz. He is a really good brawler and fun to play with. New players are tempered by this and want to improve theirself. There are probably more brawlers like this but buzz was one that really suprised me
As a relatively experienced player I'd love to see a chromatic tier list. Since everyone who has been playing for a while likely has a wide range of chromatics, a video that takes in to account the brawlers' past reliability as well as current usefulness could be really helpful.

I think i can agree on everything but Emz, she is super strong, good on many modes, and pretty easy to use (both autoaim and enemies dodging it) and i think you should unlock her and max her asap

I think Ash needs to have resources put into him. This is not because of broken star powers or gadgets, but because of his rage mechanic. At a low power level, Ash's rage bar decreases faster than Ash can heal, making Ash almost unusable. With each upgrade, Ash gets more health. This means more healing, until it outpaces his rage bar decrease. This also means more hp left when he reaches max rage.

New players , I deeply recommend you to get Emz before Bo, you can learn to play with her really fast , and she can be used if there are many bushes , but if you think you're better with Bo then choose him.(This was based on my experience)
I have played this game for two years and with everyone else picking the brawlers depends on you. Most all the brawlers that Kairos recommends to max out as soon as possible are harder brawlers to play which is fin but you might struggle a little. At the end of the day it depends on what you want youe experience to be and which brawlers fit your play style. Best of luck.
In the future, I think you'll want to make your new player guides based more on how fun a brawler is/how strong they are from 100-500 trophies in ladder, and less on the tippity top of competitive/700+ trophy ladder. By the time a player is thinking of playing competitive power league, they'd probably already have 80-90% of the brawlers, so I think picking the most fun brawlers first is more important for a new player.
i got like 40 brawlers none being above p9 but im at diamond 1 in pl solo ofc so i dont think it matters how many brawlers they got.

This is a fairly consistent list that outlines good path for new players to follow. My only complaint about the update that might be covered in the honest update review even though it’s not for me and this is for the new players. I really enjoyed the feeling of the random pulls you would get and having to learn a new brawler without knowing what’s coming next. I just feel as the enjoyment of unlocking brawlers has been restricted because of Starr road.
I have on ecomment, on Mr P being unlocked so late. There was a time not long ago where he was top of the meta, and he still offers so much pressure by swarming people, plus the suitcase attack, good versatility. I'd just say not open him LAST, but maybe a bit earlier.
You should get dynamike a bit sooner. Even though it doesn’t seem it, once you get used to playing him, he’s insane in most game modes except bounty and brawl ball. Overall a great support brawler. Not good for pushing or 1v1s. Decent in clutch situations.
I think this video is the most new player friendly video kairos has ever made, the tier lists are usually for long term players and challenges are for everyone
4:08 I think Stu has a really high skill cap especially with his double dash, choosing which walls to break with his gadget, and low hp. I personally don't know who to choose, but Stu is good when used correctly. I feel like Emz would be a great option for newer brawlers to start learning about map control rather than going agressive with a tank (edit: or assassin) and dying.
Even if you play stu with average skill, he is still really good and fun to play
Emz gets boring and outranged at high trophies but Stu becomes a very big counter to high trophies brawler like Leon,mortis,Edgar and sharpshooters( as an assassin)

Edger was my main character, untill i got him to power 11 and was comfortable enough to start playingbeith other , now i got EMZ and Penny one 11 with two more on 10 and 9
I think the most important thing by far is to try them out before you get them and see who seems more fun
I agree with most of the picks, you did a great job, but I would highly recommend maxing Gene as fast as possible, gears make him so much better and his healing puffs star power is the best healing ability in the game.

I agree with the comp aspect of these choices however not everyone is tryna go to brawl stars championships and for that reason, if newer players don’t wanna get bored, get brawlers like Edgar, Leon, mortis and overall fun brawlers for the best experience :)

I think for new players close range brawlers work really well. New players often don't know how to counter them best. I remember just destroying kids in the beginning with El Primo and Frank. Frank was my first rank 20 as well😁

If you are new to the basics of the game its fair to get dynamike last, but if you just start on a new account and are fairly good with the controls dynamike can be extremely fun and good to play! (telling from experience)

Honestly the best way to unlock a brawler is to try all of them out and pick the ones you like (exept the 10 that were mentioned because they are very good) most of the time you willl have more fun playing the brawler you like than playing the strongest option

I felt like this video had the mindset of your brawlers being at power 9 or higher but most likely your brawlers would be mainly at 7 on average just go with the brawlers you like the most don't worry about competitive stuff until you Max them out
As a maxed out player I'm glad I have all the brawlers. I can't imagine it taking 7 years to get all the brawlers and max them out with a new account. I only have to focus on whatever the newest brawler is.

Its a good thing I got all the trophy roads, rare, super rare, almost all the epic, (1 mythicc brawler), and 6 chromatic brawlers before Starr Road came out. Now its fricking hard to get brawlers!
As a player with all brawlers, I think new players should choose Darryl (what I recommended my friend) because it is a much more fun option than penny and it is better at below 500 trophy range in my opinion
Here is a strategy for the newer players, watch the competitive tier list that kairos makes. It can help you get a bunch of trophies early on! If you get to an option for legendaries and Meg is an option DO NOT under any circumstances pick her. If you like your ears and your phone not smashed pick somebody else

Great guide! One thing I disagree with is unlocking Bibi as the last Epic... She's a tank who has a knockback inbuilt and versatile. The balance changes buffed her damage and hp a bit as well... I'd get her over Edgar.
I think he will change his mind in his next tier list video cuz Bibi is not pretty tanky after her health buff, Its not a lot but she can now withstand more hits from many brawlers and that itself is pretty good enough to give her enough time to unload a bonk.

If you are a new player, I would would play for awhile at lower levels, I think it’s more fun and helps build skill. Join a club/and or friends. I’ve been playing BS for 4 years and playing with others has been much more fun than grinding trophies. Playing at lower trophies can be very competitive/satisfying/fun.

For stu I think zero drag may be the better option overall, its really difficult to get loads of value with gas o heal most of the time and the range of stus super normally is so negligble that it might not even be enough to dodge an attack even if you time it perfectly.
nah pro just use gasoheal and slide on those enemies, zero drag is kinda weird to me
Bro you don't underestimate the power of gas o heal you can literally heal 1200 to 1600 health nearly half of his health
It's only good if facing Edgar or mortis.... With gaso heal you can heal 800 with 1 ammo if you can double dash with 1 ammo...even if you can't then also you can heal 1200 with 3 ammo which is quite high
Zero drag is useless. Whenever I see a long dash stu Ik that stu is average or below ave. The only time you're gonna be using long dash is on long range maps, and you don't pick stu on long range maps. If you can spam gaso heal you can get so much hp and apply so much control and pressure

I really think kairos heavily overrates sandy. I do not think sandy was picked once during the whole of brawl stars world finals. I would not reccomend getting sandy, and I think the best legendaries right now are chester>crow>amber>leon>spike>meg>sandy. Meg is at least usable on all hot zone maps, so I gave her the edge over sandy.
You must be living under a rock to have that kind of tier list. Spike is the strongest, then Crow, Leon, Chester, Amber, Sandy and Meg.

I personally think that all the first 3 legendary’s require a different skill set . If you like hitting an enemy and waiting to slowly chip them down. Leon turns invisible to sneak up on and quickly kill enemy’s from far or close (but not to close). Spike is great for aggressive players boasting high dps at the expense of low health (though I believe crow has less).
Mortis and Edgar are the S tier picks for not being the casual damage dealer meta abuser.

For real though I never EVER heard anyone saying buff or Nerf Spike and when I play with him I'm satisfied with his dmg and all and when I play against him he is not a very strong enemy just a bit of annoying
On the first legendary one, I got the option of Crow, Amber and Sandy, as for I payed for Leon’s hypercharge pack and got spike from a starr drop. I went for crow 😊.

As a 4 year player with every Brawler unlocked and maxed (besides Chester and Gray) I agree with about 95% of your trophy road choices. I would pick Crow before Sandy and Byron before Mr. P. but that’s just my personal preference. The Chromatics are all solid options but don’t underestimate Lou with his super charge gear :)

I highly disagree with Lou being the last chromatic. His range is really good he has a great super and the freezing mechanic with his star powers and gadgets is just insane. I would choose him over colette or belle because he is really versitile with the freeze

He's very solid in pretty much any Hot Zone map, especially if you get some kills and just start looping supers
Hard to hit his shots. Harder if your opponent Is very good at juking
No lol belle and colette are significantly better. Belle is a great pick in knockout and bounty, colette is one of the best picks in heist and for countering tanks. Lou is only situationally good in hotzone, and requires very good aim against other competitive players.

I would actually highly choose dynamike over 8-bit, because he’s faster, and he can throw the dynamite over walls, which obstruct projectile fire, which is the realm that 8-bit falls into. Also, 8-bit is really slow, so in game modes such as gem rush (or whatever it’s called) he is easy to catch up to and defeat, and just has difficulty surviving altogether.

being somebody getting into the more skilled side of brawl stars id acually recomend to take close range brawlers when new because there fun to use and easy
As a begginer i was actually using Nita because of how op she is. Not only does she do so much damage but her bear is tanky and can also deal a bunch of damage while also being a gps being op on battle royale if the enemy is missing.
Griff or Edgar? Now that choice is just plain evil for newcomers since one seems like he's very good but can be countered very easily (Edgar) while Griff seems meh but is super strong if you use him right. Also Emz has a much lower skill ceiling then bo but if you mastered him he's just unfair
The only thing Edgar is good at is showdown
