  • It’s no wonder so many people (including myself) see Kurt as such a powerful figure in music history, he took simple guitar techniques such as power chords and made a masterpiece. Then his lyrics and the way he sings them allows him to express his anger and other emotions to make people feel happy, it’s a shame that it didn’t make him happy like it made others happy.

    • @@loganvana I've met many music heads that like similar music that I do and they always either LOVE Rush or HATE them! It's so weird. Geddy doesn't have the best voice but for me, damned if the sum of Rush's parts are far greater than their individual contributions!! I like Kurt's voice better but there's so many songs from Rush I absolutely love.. Nirvana was putting out the best stuff of a generation but it got cut short tragically. What might have been. Nirvana had more atmospheric songs but Rush has a few. Check out Witch Hunt from Moving Pictures.

Living in Vancouver, Canada, about 2 hours from Seattle, you could feel and see the swell of hype and attention this ban was garnished with and how it grew so quickly. That "Grunge", became a new word in the modern vocabulary and of course the name or term to be forever associated with the the band Nirvana. For Nirvana was and still is a movement that helped give the youth a voice to be understood by. "No Apologizes".

At the beginning of his career you'd never see him miss a chord and he was vocally just like in the studio version, and later you can see how his stage performance decreased year by year. This is a video from 1991, find another one just a year later, 1992, you'll notice the decrease even though it's just a year later.

The song landed so well they played it two times in a row. I immediately ran out and bought "Nevermind"....then "Bleach" the next day. I've been hooked ever since.
