It’s no wonder so many people (including myself) see Kurt as such a powerful figure in music history, he took simple guitar techniques such as power chords and made a masterpiece. Then his lyrics and the way he sings them allows him to express his anger and other emotions to make people feel happy, it’s a shame that it didn’t make him happy like it made others happy.

Seeing Nirvana for the first time doing this song, it was one of those "what the hell was that", kind of moments. Living in Vancouver, Canada, about 2 hours from Seattle, you could feel and see the swell of hype and attention this ban was garnished with and how it grew so quickly. That "Grunge", became a new word in the modern vocabulary and of course the name or term to be forever associated with the the band Nirvana. For Nirvana was and still is a movement that helped give the youth a voice to be understood by. "No Apologizes".

It did just not how he needed unfortunately
I think music was one of the few things that did make him happy. He just came from an unfortunate broken background and had mental health issues and a nasty drug addiction, both of which we didn't know how to deal with back then.

He was missing chords because he was on drugs. That's the sad reality unfortunately. At the beginning of his career you'd never see him miss a chord and he was vocally just like in the studio version, and later you can see how his stage performance decreased year by year.
