Israel releases intelligence claiming Hamas are hiding under hospitals in Gaza

Israel’s military has claimed that Gaza’s biggest hospital, al-Shifa, is a legitimate target, suggesting an attack on the medical centre is imminent.
Presenting an illustration of the hospital, the Israel Defence Forces (IDF) identified several areas they claimed were used by Hamas to co-ordinate attacks on Israel. They alleged that Hamas has command-and-control centres both inside and underneath the hospital. The military did not use real images and would only show mock-ups of the hospital.
“When medical facilities are used for terror purposes they are liable to lose their protection from attack in accordance with international law,” said the IDF spokesman Daniel Hagari.

  • From my understanding the hospital shown near the coast, is so close to the coast that the water table is too high to build even a standard basement. The same way you can’t build basements in Florida. So, how are they keeping all of those rooms and tunnels from flooding?? Can the Israeli “intelligence” explain that away?

    • So from that conversation, you could not tell that that was a random conversation between a man and possibly his mum? While it might be fake, it is totally possible that it is true. That is a totally reasonable conversation random citizens can have. A (high ranking) Hamas official may be wise enough to not say such over the phone, but it is very possible that a random person who knows, or has heard that there are bases under hospital and schools would mention it in a conversation with his mum.

There are other videos that have the full conversations in arabic that, imo, provide fsr better evidence to what is going on under Al-Sifaa hospital, but for some reason these conversations aren't included here. In any case, israel presents their evidence descretely in meetings with other nations and the UN to make sure they have their support and to demonstrate they are not violating international law. I can show you videos of hamas firing from hospitals in the past and how thorough israel is at evacuating them before bombing them. Hamas and Al jazeera are quick to note israel has bombed hospitals, but never say why. The proof is on israel to show why the attack happened, and they provide them when they are cleared by their own intelligence agencies.

  • They listen to all their conversations now, but they couldn't do it at least a day before, to their Planning conversations of the criminal attacks on October 7th. The 50th anniversary would require at least a high alert. Nowadays almost every house or business or every street corner has HD cameras, yet no warning cameras or sensors on the Fence. No border soldier posts every 250m, meaning 100 for the whole 25Km. No monitoring Drones for the whole territory. No informers inside the organization. No informers from outside the country. The response was incredibly slow for such a small territory and from such skilled people. It seems like the whole country was asleep and failed on all fronts.

    • First, Actually they said that hamas was firing the rocket and that rocket misfired and hit the hospital. Its not like hamas target the hospital, instead their rocket malfunction and hit the hospital (or hospital parking lot).
