Ciryl already lost twice for a belt. Man has no chance to get another shot, at least not any time soon. Cirly needs to fight Blaydes or Sergei next. And Tommy boy should just get Stipe and the official belt until Jon gets back or retires. We need a Leon and Tommy boy ppv next year in UK. UK fans are insane and would be an incredible event.

Heavyweight isn’t deep. Aspinal most likely isn’t gonna get jones or stipe, already beat pavlovich, jailton laid an egg, blaydes just got decimated by pavlovich, and gane coming off a win. Honestly gane is the only that makes sense.

@@AshahTafari Backup fighters literally never end up fighting. And the hardest part of being a backup is making weight and this was heavyweight. So Sergei definitely didn't actually believe he would be fighting and didn't have to make weight so in this instance the short notice was exactly the same for both.
Marc Goddard did the right thing. If I saw what he was seeing I would have stopped it. That's not to say Jiri wouldn't have recovered, but you can't get dropped, take 20 elbows to the head, then fall backward, and not have the fight stopped.

Part of fighting is being physically prepared to fight. Tom wasn't physically prepared to beat Blaydes, so he lost fair and square. Jon's the champ, he should have an allowed time to return and if he can't by that time then strip him. Jon is the undisputed champ, period. Francis left the organization, he's no longer in the equation. This is exactly where Ariel displays his bias. I do agree Jon should fight Tom next but it ain't gonna happen so we should all move on from that conversation.
