I have a xr & 6s, the 6s is a better phone for my use. 6s....3D touch, home button & head phone jack, perfect size. Xr just has better battery life. Needless to-say the Xr is still in the box.

If you have the XS Max it’s not worth getting the 11 pro Both cameras work just fine & the pictures & video’s are clear AF Meaning front facing camera is clear Rear camera is clear as well Anyone with a XS Max knows what I’m talking about.
But the battery off the 11 is better

I upgraded from an iPhone 7 to an iPhone 11 Pro Max, so for me it was definitely worth it, but if you have an iPhone 10 xs Max then I honestly don’t see the point in upgrading

Haha yes, youtubers need to remember that not everyone is able to afford the newest phones every year. I recently just published a video where I traded in my iphone for a Note 10. It was well worth it and I will not be paying Apple the high prices any more. It's just not worth it since Apple is behind in every way, especially in the camera department. Also faceID is trash since it never detects my face and I missed the finger print reader so much.
Basically if you have the XS Max don’t upgrade but if you don’t then you can consider the 11 pro Max

Couldn’t Apple give night mode in XS series? What’s the point of this?
They could’ve but they wouldn’t have that to market with the new phones. It’s all software based and the XS can handle it easy! I have an app NeuralCam and it works wonders on my XS. It’s designed for older phones to be able to have night mode.
At the end of the day, a good DSLR will always take better photos than an iPhone. They're literally re-inventing the wheel. A good tri-pod and an app that supports RAW image is okay, but nothing beats having a big lens that truly captures colors and details. Even Apple uses studio camera equipment for pictures, videos, and advertisements rather than their own iPhone 90% of the time.
Austin McNair I don’t have time to carry a DSLR around with me all the time. So having the capability to just whip my phone out and snap a pic is way more convenient. I get what you’re saying but I just want sharp photos of my 4 year old and video from his sporting and also on vacations.

This is an excellent comparison and very professionally presented. I am not sure how anyone could give this a thumbs down. Showing comparisons really helped. The only comparison I had a hard with, was with the 'portrait' mode, the 'shots' were slightly different/off from each other, and the Xs Max, appears to be better. Which I am thinking is not the case as to (1) where the plant was positioned to the light bulb behind it, is not the same, (2) the angle of shots are different; one taken higher/lower/closer/ and/or further than other , and (3) the much better selfie on the 11 Pro Max appears to operating in a "portrait' mode and thus would take a better portrait, all things considered. He calls foul on Apple on unfounded marketing. He gets to the point, gives interesting detail and I actually learned a few things! He does not 'promote' one phone over the other, he just shows improvements on the newer model and leaves it up to the viewer to decide. Yes the 11 pro Max has newer features and upgrades. Is the 11 pro Max I got one of the first Xs Max when they were released on November 3, 2017 and an Xs for my son. So we have had them for almost three years now. Both of the phones are now failing. Multiple issues some the same, some different. I feel Apple designs their products, including computers, a short 'shelf life.' What intrigues me about the 11pro max is the wide angle capability. I am curious of its close-up ability. Though I have SLR's camera's and lens, I have really gotten spoiled using my cell, as it takes pretty darn good pictures most of the time. To me it's quality of imaging a cell can produce. So do I give in now as the price on the 11 will most surely drop as the 12 comes out? Or do I wait and see what the newest model has in store for us? I wish Apple played nice with android as android does with Apple. I have preferred Samsung's Galaxy Note, by unfortunately Mac Book Pros and iMacs do not cooperate unless it's and another Apple product. This leads to another dilemma I will be facing when my Macs finally fail, do I make the switch Microsoft products, who for better no words are not racist, and are excepting of all electronics. ;-)

Upgrading your phone makes only sense every 3-4 years. The phones can’t do anything new other than slight improvements on the camera and processor. I have a 8 plus and will probably wait until the 12 comes out.
From one to another? No. But I have an 8 from the day it came out. Before my 8 I had a 4, I plan on upgrading to the 11 max.

You should really be making sure they're both running the same iOS version. You can see the 11 was on 13.0, but the XS was on 13.1. This could also account for difference in testing.

They did a lot of work on the cameras, which they needed to do as the Android flagships were so good. The IP 11 seems really nice. I’d be happy with the 10s Max as well.

I’m glad I upgraded this weekend. My battery lasts all day on my small 11 pro over my old xs max with heavy use of KZhead and Snapchat. Started my day at 7am, got home 8:45pm with 32% battery. Phone charged up to like 60% from 22% in like 20 min? Insane. Don’t get me started on the better camera.

Raiden 9 it’s a “little” step up for people like me who have the iPhone XS Max, there’s literally not much of a difference between the two. A13 chip isn’t much of a reason to upgrade either, it’ll only be faster than its predecessor by not much of a notice to the average consumer. Apple is truly premium quality, but they’ve been half assing over the years. They’re getting too comfortable, while competition is slowly rising above and statistically surpassing them. Unless they get back to how they use to do things when Steve Jobs was around, they WILL become the next BlackBerry.

Raiden 9 - I understood what you meant, but what I’m saying is that they’re doing the bare minimum. It’s not going to cut it much longer, their decline in sales shows this. They may have the best phone out right now, but they’re still ranked #3 with their closet competitor isn’t even Samsung, it’s Xiaomi, whose 1% under Apple in sales, ranked at #4. Which is why I’m saying they are on the verge of becoming the new Blackberry. At one point and time BlackBerry was Apple, they did little to keep innovation consistent, giving their customers just enough to satisfy them, til eventually, we all moved on to the next best thing, Apple. I truly hope the iPhone 12 is a MAJOR step up. They’re doing great with the Apple Watch series’! I’m purchasing the series 5 next week. But truly, I miss the hype Apple once had, it faded over the years. They still have hype, but not as big as it use to be. The camp outs that were done days before the release were EPIC! Phone purchases for online websites would crash or be sold out quick! Now, there’s not even much of a rush, the lines aren’t even nearly as long as they use to be.

Apple is finally catching up slowly but surely with their camera and from what I have seen here and in other videos is that new HDR is awesome and the color tones are MUCH better. A really good step in the right direction. It does make the XS max feel outdated in my opinion. For once this is not a marginal upgrade.. theres a bunch of new perks in the iphone 11 pro. I might switch back to Apple sooner :-D

i have the 11 in red but i miss having rose gold so it makes me wanna go to the xs max. also wildflower cases have all the cute cases for xs max and under such as neon zebra and neon cow and i think any WF case look better on the xs series b/c of the size of the camera. currently have the regular cheetah print on my 11 and it looks cute but that’s the only case that works with my phone lol

I can definitely tell that they improved the angles, I am 100% certain because it always unlocks now when I have it on my desk or when I don’t even want it to unlock, they definitely improved that, 100% certain
Test the angle in a car. Like when you mount it on your dash. That seems like a good off angle situation I can see them working on.
