    • Yep, never finished lower that 2nd in any season that he finished with ManUtd (because 2001/02 was the only time in that period ManUtd came 3rd and they only slipped to 3rd late on after they were out of the PL race while Liverpool were caring more about 2nd than ManUtd but Beckham didn't finish the season because Deportivo were hacking him loads in ChampionsLeague quarterfinals & broke his metatarsal).

  • The level of football, the duels, tackels, slidings, ball movement and pace on the pitch was higher overall in the early 2000s. Also the quality of players was better. The decline started somewhere around 2006/2007 till date.
