  • great video. I just got my first VR headset, the quest 2. I cant wait to try out these games especially Ghost of Tabor. very excited to experience VR for the first time. I am a huge golf fan, that golf game is another one on my list. great energy and video.

    • Thank you so much for the comment, and glad you enjoyed the energy and video! More to come, for sure, and I think you're going to LOVE Walkabout Minigolf, as a golf fan, and TABOR is fantastic. Stressful, but in a good way!

  • Hi, love the video and some interseting choices there. The only one i have played and just recently got back into is Saints and Sinners. Now, while it is a cracking game, i am still running the Rift CV1 and while it looks good, it`s still a bit grainy. I am looking to get the Quest 3 within the next few weeks, so i was wondering, have they brought out the updated graphics for it yet?. The reason i ask is that i watvhed a video regarding the Quest 3 and older games including S&S and the general feeling was because of the good optics in the Quest 3, older games can actually look worse. What`s your taake on that?. Cheers.

    • The S&S quest 3 standalone update has come out, and it looks far better than the quest 2 build. Dynamic lighting, more detailed textures and twice as many zombies. Probably doesn't look as good as the pcvr build, but it's much closer. It's really awesome!

    • I agree with HelloSpectr - the quest 3 version has come out, and everyone agrees it's a BIG improvement, so there you go! I don't know that I agree that old games look worse on Quest 3 due to the upgraded optics, though. It might show a bit more of the rough edges, but the Quest 3 is such an improvement in optic, nearly everything I've played in it looks better to me. Clearer, better FOV, no god-rays. Hope that helps!

  • I knew you were a Synth Riders enjoyer, it really does feel more like dancing compared to Beat Saber, and the custom song feature is nice (still gotta try adding songs tho). The Room VR is also really hard to top, I Expect You To Die comes close but on a less serious tone... By the way, now that you have your list of stand-alone experiences, can we get another one with the PCVR titles in the future?

    • You read my mind! I've been thinking about doing a PCVR version of this list ever since I started working on this video! PCVR still has some of the best experiences I've ever had in VR, and that list would be a great challenge to make. I'd want so many things on that list. And, I agree about I EXPECT YOU TO DIE. That one made me smile from ear-to-ear playing it! Great game!!! Recommend it to anyone.

  • In no particular order the following incredible programs also deserve an honorable mention....... 1) In Death: Unchained 2) Puzzling Places 3) 11 Table Tennis 4) Racket NX 5) Holodia (a subscription based exercise program) It integrates seamlessly with a Concept 2 rowing machine and has a wide variety of off-the-wall immersive environments and competetive features making it easy to stick with a program long term.

    • Love these! Of them, I've done In Death, Puzzling Places (a little), and Racket NX! All great choices, and reminds me that I need to get back to Racket NX for the workout! That Holodia - that's one I've not heard of. I'll have to check that out! Love the idea of it working with a rowing machine. Very cool!

  • For rhythn game how did pistol whip not get it!?

    @priscillaquinn9505@priscillaquinn9505Ай бұрын
    • I do like PISTOL WHIP a lot - being JOHN WICK to the rhythm is very satisfying! Can totally understand anyone picking that as their fav, but for me, I love the "dance" kind of feel of Synth Riders the most. But Pistol Whip is my #2 for Rhythm game, and it is a part of my workout in VR from time to time! Good pick.

  • Are there any mystery solving games?

    @MaryContrary1@MaryContrary1Ай бұрын
    • Great question - and yes, there are, depending on how you define mystery solving. Actually, THE ROOM VR does feel a bit like a mystery solving game as well as a puzzle-solver, and, eventhough I have not yet played it, THE 7th GUEST seems to possibly have a mystery-solving aspect to it as well. There are others that I've played in PCVR that are really great too (like THE INVISIBLE HOURS), but for Quest 2 and 3 native, THE ROOM VR scratches that itch for me!

  • I agree with your assessment of VR Chat. I can see the appeal, especially with the absolute TON of content, but it’s just not for me. Otherwise I agree wholeheartedly on each category favorite!

    • Nice, my friend! Yes, I feel like there's something in VR Chat for nearly anyone, if you dig, and if you get into a private instance with people you know. So many options, for sure! Thanks for watching, and for the comment!

    • You know, I've heard that one is great, and I have yet to play it! I know! I need to get on that for sure. I've heard the physics are right up there with Walkabout Minigolf as far as realism. I've even heard that some real-world ping-pong players actually play that sometimes for practice? Awesome! Thanks for the suggestion!

  • Next time you should add best mixed reality and best horror

    @priscillaquinn9505@priscillaquinn9505Ай бұрын
    • I LOVE THAT! Both of those are BIG categories for me, especially BEST HORROR! I will do that! Although, it will be hard to keep PCVR horror off that list - spoiler, one of the best ever is the VR MOD for Alien Isolation! Terrifying!

      @jollyjulian@jollyjulianАй бұрын
    • @@jollyjulian yah. Some good standalone horror are cosmodread and of course dreadhalls aswell as into the radius and the sidequest/applab game dark harvest

  • What about working apps?

    @chrisf217@chrisf21726 күн бұрын
    • Fantastic question, and that could be a video in itself, for sure! The ones I've used so far would be HORIZON WORKROOMS (which I do feel is underrated), IMMERSED (which worked quite well, and has free and paid versions), and ENGAGE, (which I think is more for teaching and lecturing, but I haven't tried it in a year or two). Nice thing about Workrooms is they are making it easier and easier to have NON-VR attendees in there with your VR attendees. Hope that helps!
