I truly believe he will defeat Oliviera, and that he is the better fighter between the two, and that he is and has been the best lightweight fighter since Khabib’s retirement. But he has some more wins to go before we give him top lightweights of all time kind of talk! Oliviera is on an exceptional run and deserves his shine. Can’t wait for their inevitable clash!!!

  • One of the coolest things about Islam is the “mystique” about him since like 2016. He’s been known as that absolute killer, “the next Khabib”, just quietly living in the shadows. You hear stories of him dominating everyone in the gym. Now it’s becoming reality.

    • @@sebbzmarz839 irrelevant. The better question is who in the top 5 would actually accept the fight. So far, only Beneil Dariush has. No one else wants the fight, which has been the story of Khabib and Islam's career. Khabib was the best fighter at LW when he beat RDA, who 6 months later beat Pettis to become the champ. Conor retired for 2 years with the belt. Woodley said he would pay for Khabib's dietician to keep him at 155. Same deal with Islam. It's the hardest fight in the division for everyone.

      @KKSuited@KKSuited Жыл бұрын
    • @@sebbzmarz839 I respect Dustin Poirier greatly but he recently declined a title eliminator against Makhachev which would have earnt him a rematch against Charles. That should tell you everything you need to know. All of this top this top that means nothing when those 'top' guys literally won't fight. You're just throwing these numbers around while ignoring the context. That's why rankings are rubbish. Conor McGregor hasn't won a fight in the division since 2016 yet he's ranked 8th. Means nothing.

      @shooter2457@shooter2457 Жыл бұрын

What is this nonsense about my CLUB (singular) are killing it... my BANK (singular) are great... my House (singular) ARE great... my country (singular) ARE great... my country's football team (singular) ARE great...? Your country has only ONE NATIONAL TEAM in any worldly sanctioned sporting team that competes in, say, the Olympics or World Cup... Either Brazil IS great, in soccer, or it is not. What's this BS about Brazil are, England are, Italy are, China are, Germany are, etc? If it is A TEAM, it is a UNIT... and a unit is a SINGULARITY, not a plurality... Doesn't it sound, at the very least, STRANGE to you to say "My WIFE ARE GREAT"? (Some people/societies allowed multiple wives, or husbands... but that's a different story; if you lived in one of those societies and you have more than one spouse concurrently, you must say MY WIVES [or my husbands] ARE GREAT. Can't just say MY ONE WIFE ARE GREAT!) Anyway, a country doesn't get to send TWO NATIONAL TEAMS (in volleyball, in football, in swimming, in boxing, in hockey, in gymnastics....) to the Olympics or World Cup... JUST ONE. And it IS it.... not it ARE it...

    • @@mariopejic5534 well back in Sep 2019, he went to Russia to document Khabib’s training camp, and during the filming he slapped Khabib’s father on the bare buttocks. It was extremely unexpected, but I think people took it too seriously. His father was showing Umar a judo throw, and while doing so, his shorts fell down below his knees. EFC ran over and slapped his bare cheeks before he could pull his shorts back up. Most of the fighters found it funny but before the footage cut off Khabib was shown visibly angry telling EFC to leave the gym. Anyways, he’s since grown and moved on but he received some major backlash for awhile as a result.

    • I saw documentary in Russia, in muslim's region.. Father is absent and deceased so his mother raised him. His mom act like a dad, no emotions because she wanted her son to be like his father, like a strong mentally and physically. I was raised by mom alone too, I hope I was raised by my dod but I don't.. so I grew up soft but I wanted to make a change, I teach myself since I don't have dad, I advice myself like what dad suppose to teach me. I'm still learning but it will become more natural if you we're raised in tough condition with you dad's supervision.. Cheers to our mom for raising us, but we need to man up and teach our future kids a hard life to raise them a real man (documentary is not Islam makhachev to be clear haha)

  • Even now watching khabib break down after beating Justin makes me cry…when a man like khabib who was almost emotionless in and out of the octagon cries like that in front of millions when previously you’d never even dream of seeing khabib cry, you absolutely know he’s broken inside and nothing on earth can fix that heartbreak….This is why every time I see him cry like this, it really gets to me… after his dad passed away (May Allah sbw grant him jannat) you can imagine khabib being the rock for the whole family even though he was the youngest of his siblings, he remained stoic in any of the footage we got to see at the funeral, no tears nothing emotionless right up to the moment he slept Justin and it all finally sank in and he let go off the pent up emotions & grieved for his father, coach, friend and inspiration in life…💔🤲🏽☪️
