I like that Dexter’ leash was being pulled tight while Brutus’s had slack. The owner knew Brutus would follow directions.
You can see in all of their interactions Brutus’s ears are always forward but Dexters always end up pinned back by the end. It shows that Brutus isn’t scared of Dexter and knows that the conversation isn’t about to boil over. And it shows that for all of his defiance, Dexter is still intimidated by Brutus.
Well to be fair, we don't know Dexters' backstory, but Brutus was a military dog, and thus it makes a lot of sense he'd be good at following directions.
Cuz he is well trained since he was in the military as a MWD (Military Working Dog)

I can just imagine Pixie and Brutus's owner coming home from work and walking into their TV room ready with popcorn to watch a movie and sees a shovel speared through their TV and wall. Their reaction would be like "not again" With a so done look on their face as they sit down to eat their popcorn in silence.

Frankly, I'm surprised that Brutus and Gerald don't get along too well considering how logical they both are, along with their connection via Pixie
Also, the fact that Brutus is a military dog and Gerald is literally the symbol of the country that Brutus was fighting for.

They're too similar. Alpha personalities always have trouble getting along with each other, not to mention they're hyper competitive.

0:21 Actually the Malinois have a better spine shape, allowing them to be more endurant than the Germans. The issue with the last is that the back of their spine tend to go down, in long term they got back problem and can't excercise as much as before. That's why the malinois is the prefered breed nowaday for the Police (in europe at least). In the other hands Germans breed became quite the vanity breed, a lot of people research the ones with a lower back, find it beautifull or idk. You can still find Gremans breed like brutus with a higher back spine though, but it's apparently less popular nowaday.

Are we really sure they're less popular? I'd never seen a slope back in real life... or maybe it has more to do with the fact that most the ones owned by people are spayed/neutered so then whatever is 'in' with the show breeding community becomes the standard. Though I use that term loosely, again, never seen the slope back, and every dog my grandma ever had was a German Shepard ... Just putting it out there but it's also allegedly more popular for the American version of the Doberman Pincher to be the way it is, and yet people pay big bucks to get a dog from the truer to form European lines.
@@saribeepo.o5111 I had familiy member with "old fashion" german sheperd, the back problem were there too, just not as much as for the new breed. It's always possible that the old breed still exist but i'm not sure breeders are raising them now. May also depend of the country, now that i think about. Btw i don't recommend people to buy a familiy dog to them.

Actually Brutus is wrong. Malinois are much stronger, bigger and faster and they have less chance to develop the back legs problems that shepperds in general have (both german and Belgian) because of their genetic.
Im not Sure if Brutus is a German shepherd tho, and he’s also a war dog.

@@lamontsimmons4682 two possible options, bad design and just a mistake from the artist or it was intentional because not all malinois are the same size, some grow smaller or bigger.
but brutus was in milatery, so he was training and training so he probably is stronger then the other dexter dog

As someone who has a German shepherd mix and a malinois mix this is 100 percent what they would say 🤣🤣
Let me enlighten you all with a physics lesson. Considering F = ma, where F is the shovel's force, m is its mass, and a the acceleration, how hard the shovel hits the TV screen depends on how fast it bounces off that rock and how heavy it is. However, the force of impact is significantly reduced due to force of gravity and air resistance, minimizing the chances of the shovel smashing the screen. So, either this is some alternate universe where gravity's weaker, or the TV has a VERY thin screen.
It's comic physics. Things tend to be somewhat exaggerated with comic physics

Belgian malinois (Mechelse schaper, it is a dutch speaking city after all) Is actually more profficient in militairy and police service than even German shepherds it is actually only one of the varieties of Belgian shepherd, one is course haired, two are long haired and ofcourse this one is short haired, in Belgium they are considdered one breed with different varieties, in the US the malinois and the other varieties are catagorised as different breeds, I believe the first classified malinois was called Vos (which means fox in Dutch) this was in the 19th century

@@mx.netherlands6588 Mechelen is a Flemish city, It has great historical significance for the history of the region as it's independent status from the great counties and duchies made it the natural seat for the equivalent of the supreme court of the habsburg netherlands as a whole it's language was always a Flemish dialect, the city is a Dutch speaking one. The reason I care is because whilst the linguistic question is overcalled as being of any import in the communautary crisis of Belgium (the real issue is political, economical and fiscal) the francification under the french revolutionary, napoleonistic and mpstt stringent of all Belgian governance which is what turned Brussels( an initially Dutch speaking city (in fact the author of the Wilhelmus, the Dutch anthem came from it) majority french speaking by 1930, bare in mind, this is 100 years after Belgium became independent. The same was tried in Antwerp, Ghent, Bruges, .... the hope was to turn the entire country french speaking, Again, minor issue and Malinois sounds much better to English speakers than Mechelse herder or Mechelaar, but the underlying issue, whilst not one for which anyone today can be held acountable nor should be, is one that should certainly be adressed as a great wrongdoing of history, but it isn't
