    • The sons get kicked out when they start taking an interest to the females (maybe not mother but sisters and cousins...). Their instincts are very powerful and, sons be left to their own devices, the father would have to fight them off and show dominance to his own fully grown up spawns when the pride females are in oestrus... in some scenarios.. it seems like the father sees an opportunity in keeping sons around... in the wild, a sickly pride ruler has all the chances of being overthrown by a healthy son which will then want to proceed and may then breed with his own mother, grandmother or siblings and cousins... a similar behavior can be seen in horses... without a herd stallion, a bachelor that has previously been kicked out from the group once it reached sexual maturity may try to become the leader and mate with a mother, sibling, cousin, etc. In a healthy environment where the animals can have widespread territories and food/shelter availability, inbreeding is reduced. When environmental stressors appear, inbreeding may be seen more often, simply because there are less choices for adults to find their own groups.

      @RheeasDomain@RheeasDomain2 жыл бұрын
    • Lol... sons are kicked to reduce chances of inbreeding and stippling of the bloodline. Notch lost a coalition partner... joined his grown up sons and returned back to dominance. Lions do it a lot only that it is not documented and lions sons kill fathers too during takeovers.

  • It's unusual for males to be around their fully grown adult sons, especially when their sons manes are showing, the darker the mane the more aggressive the father becomes to kick them out the pride, there are SOME cases of unusual behaviour by a male to allow his son's to join him, bt usually in situations like he being kicked out his pride by rival males so decides to team up with his adult sons just coz they happen to be near by or he tracked his son's down for a coalition. It's not that common bt not unheard of either. That NATURAL aggression to his adult sons has a mind of it's own, although daddy can be calm around his son's aswell for the most part. He is still their father so even adult sons can still learn some tricks from daddy. Most ppl think it's the lionesess that do all teachings to the cubs and that's mostly true, bt in situations where lionesess are absent even if the cubs are fully grown males, a male CAN still take on that that role of teacher, after all this is his bloodline, once he is gone it's his son's that will continue his legacy of his family pride and reputation ☯️😇

  • From what I can tell, when the video starts, the young lion on the right (mostly cut from the video) is Notch 2 who initiates an argument with Notch. After Notch 2, the pale skinned and cute faced lion is the big boy Caesar, followed by Ron and Grimace aka Bob identifiable by his distinct facial features. Bob follows Notch 2 into the argument, followed by Ron and Caesar. The video then shows Notch first giving a piece of mind and pushing away Notch 2 (who afterwards defiantly roars at his father and brothers), then telling Bob to back off (which pushes back Ron as well) and finally turning towards Caesar who promptly sits his ass down owing to his laid back personality as compared to Notch 2, Ron and Bob who initiated more arguments with father Notch. The boy seen at the end is Caesar. Long is absent from this video. He was still around during this time though as the brothers in this video are still very young and developing their manes. Long disappeared when they'd all grown their manes. He resembled Bob the most since its said him and Bob came from the same litter and thus had blonde manes.
