To achieve the otherworldly, jangle-crunch for the guitars on Nevermind‘s punkiest track, “Territorial Pissings,” Cobain defied producer Butch Vig’s protests and plugged his instrument right into the mixing desk. He recorded the song in one take. The guitar crackle sets the prickly tone for Cobain’s lyrics about paranoia and a hardly poetic jab at patriarchy (“Never met a wise man, if so it’s a woman”). It also contrasts the peachy-keen opening verses that Krist Novoselic swiped from the hippie-dippie Youngbloods tune “Get Together.” “It wasn’t really that thought into,” Novoselic said of his contribution. “I like that Youngbloods song.” But even though the song’s riff sounds particularly mean, not everything about it was so angsty. Regarding the first verse, “When I was an alien,” Cobain has said that, growing up, “I wanted to be from another planet really bad.”

You will see when I started playing nirvana songs on the guitar the first cover I saw was yours and as the days went by I went to Love Buzz and it seemed strange not to see a cover of that song from you. I've had all the 60s RI offsets and the jagstang was the worst if he lived the butt would have been smaller and more balanced and it would have had arm and belly contours then it would have been fine .

JB4 and TOM bridge but no hard tail? I hard tailed my Jagstang and both Mustangs. To each his own tho. I just had way too many bad experiences with the vibrato so I always hard tail them since I don’t even use them. My Jagstang is stock tho expect for 500k pots but the stock humbucker is still lacking. I might switch it out but it might be some other humbucker since I already have 2 others with the jb4.
I actually never got around to do that. Just lazy I guess. I also have the 500k pots lying around, but didn't put them in yet. But that I will do in the coming week, I hope.. Both pick-ups are as Kurt had though.

Tomnedreb yes bro I have the 6 that made a huge impact on me as close as I could get them to the originals Kurt had them: - 97 Jagstang, Sonic Blue, only mods are plain white pick guard and 500k pots. - Vandalism Strat (2006 MIM) with Texas Specials in neck and middle, JB4 in the bridge, black pickguard, Vandalism sticker, Callaham full sized steep trem block, DoPor steep saddles. I’m still looking for a Fernandes neck and will install GoToh tuners and 500k pots. - Ocean Turquoise Metallic reissue Competition Mustang with matching headstock. Hot Rails in the bridge, hard tailed vibrato, 500k pots, Gotoh TOM bridge and custom wiring. - Jaguar NOS, all stock but I might install a coil spilt switch just because it gives it more tone options. - Eastwood Phase IV, all stock but I am looking for a new wrap around bridge and will install GoToh tuners. - Fiesta Red KC Mustang (Orange stang), all stock but will install 500k pots and custom wiring. I bought it off a guy that installed a red tortoise shell pickguard which also looks nice but I rather have he white one since it’s more accurate. That also made me think maybe I can buy a used Dakota red mustang and install that pickguard with a jb jr which is more accurate but we’ll see. I’m running out of space for all 9 of my axes lol For all guitars, I will also install a new bone nut with heavier gauge strings (10-52). Just taking it slow while I get them where I want them to be.
Respect bro! I almost bough a Epiphone ET270 last year, but the guy would not ship it. Don't know why.. The Stella I bought for 100 dollars from a guy that had it in his closet. Told me it was unplayable. LOL. Still had 12 steel strings on it. Still missing that Vandalism strat and then I'm satisfied. But I have some auto searches on different sites, so if the right deal for one of the guitars Kurt had appears, I surely will buy them. Do you play in a band or do covers?

Jag-Stangs are the most uncomfortable guitar,very off balanced,never finished right cause he died .He even hated it.
He did not hate it as much as some claims. I just recently read an article about it. But yeah, it was some issues with the guitar.
