  • I'm very proud of her. Her goal initially was just to improve her position from the previous olympics and she did it! The fact that she was one of the only six female skaters who got qualified for the 2nd olympics this year is already an achievement. Congrats Kaori! I'm supporting you always! I hope your dream to get qualified for the 3rd olympics in milan comes true 😄

  • Kaori sakamoto REPRESENTING. Only woman in the gpf with other 5 russians with ultra c elements. Now standing on the olympic podium amongst them with her amazing artistry and insane skill. No overscoring. No bonuses. Just talent

    @fringe9068@fringe90682 жыл бұрын
    • Are you here to support Japanese, or you came to hate Russians??? Both russians won fairly and Japanese supporting them ,athletes like kaori are respected not just for their talent but more importantly for their sportsmanship, they don't need people like you ruining their reputation.

      @niln7967@niln79672 жыл бұрын
    • @@niln7967 who said anything about the other two not winning fairly? You did. Everyone knows the russians are hugely overscored and that they don’t need it because they perform at a high level of technical difficulty. Which i’ve said multiple times on this channel. I said on my comment they are landing ultra c elements which is known to be very hard, with all that in mind Kaori competing with them is VERY impressive in my opinion. Funny enough I thought sasha should’ve won (my personal opinion ofc she’s my fave) since she did 5 quads. Did she deserve 70 pcs? No, but the others pcs shouldn’t be as high imo even if you lowered hers. The gap is not insurmountable with 5 quads. That’s the entire point. Overacored pcs, insane technicality seen only in the men’s competition. Anyone competing with that is talented and impressive and pointing it out is deserved.

      @user-ys3rp6kw5y@user-ys3rp6kw5y2 жыл бұрын
    • No overscoring or no bonuses? Eversince the introduction of the point system, the OLYMPICS is the biggest competition where overscoring and bonuses is normal, and it is a norm. From single skating to pairs or dance, everything and everyone is overscored during the olympics.

      @lulunimation9787@lulunimation97872 жыл бұрын
    • She should be first - she is the only one with no prerotation on her ultra c and triples. Judges don't punish tutberitze skaters for years for those mistakes. Also Kaori has way more artistic presence than Trusova which was also treated like it wasn't there. ISU judges are corrupted for years now.

    • Yess!! Quads are great..but without artistry, seriously I don't think it is what we call figure skating. This here, is FS in its truest essence. Reminds me to the era where you can see the art as well as the athleticism. Now it's like all about quads. So I'm really happy that despite the drama, Kaori got the podium she deserved.

    • @@ezen-harttjonathaniberion8227 valieva's short program is absolutely amazing. How can you be so jealous about these "quads", yes Trusova hasn't any artistic vibe but Shcherbakova and especially Valieva have so much talent and combine athleticism and artistry. I'm sure that if women other than the Russians knew how to do quad jumps, no one would point out that it's a scandal. I really have the impression that there is an Asian fetishism in figure skating and a Russophobia since 2014 and the "Sotnikova-gate". Please, accept Russian athletes, and I'm sure that in few years, asian women skaters will be know to do quads, because this is the evolution of the sport.

  • You don't need to land quads to be great. Sakamoto was the only saving point of this competition. I said it before but it's like baseball, you don't have to hit homeruns to win the game, you got to perfect all your other talents, running, catching, pitching etc. Sakamoto perfects all other points, she doesn't need to do quads or put her whole program based on them. That's why this is her second Olympics and you'll probably see her in 2026 as well.

    • They say Valieva is the best skater or the russians are the best but how can you say that when all they do is cheating and taking illegal drugs? they take drugs all practice and stop just before the competition. when you search rusada, they are suspended from taking bribes. I wouldn't call valieva the best. Have you seen her performance? that was the worst performance since she wasnt allowe to take tmz!

    • @@teehee8101 you should first understand the problem of doping in Camila. They broke this kid. There was no doping, as well as other Russian athletes. Just look at other Russian skaters, even juniors! they have perfect results. Everything in Eteri Tutberidze's group jumps complex elements. You can say what you want, but figure skaters in Russia better and above all the others. I'm not devaluing other athletes, they also achieve this through hard work, but you should not devalue our insanely talented and strong girls.

  • It's been amazing following her journey since PyeongChang. When I first saw her, I thought... her skating would never grow on me. But after watching her The Piano programme, I began falling in love with her. She is the SUNSHINE of figure skating. Such a powerful skater! Her signature triple loop is always icing on the cake, such a fast entry and perfect execution! Sakamoto Loop! So happy to see her come so far and I'm simply ecstatic for her medal. She truly is the BEST GIRL! She soars on the ice! Even with this camera angle, we can see how fast she is.
