My NEW ALTOZ TRX766 Zero Turn Mower on Tracks | Machine Overview
In this video I go to D&L Equipment in Kensett Iowa to pickup my NEW Altoz TRX766 Zero Turn Mower on Tracks.
I have been looking for a zero turn mower to speed up the time it takes to mow my yard which is about 4.5 acres. I have a few slopes and was told the track mowers do really good on slopes and it was something a little different and looked heavy built.
As I am posting this video I have only mowed my yard one time but really like everything about it. It definitely sped up my mowing time and did a nice job mowing. I felt turning on the ends it was very easy on the turf below and the machine rides and handles very nicely. Overall I think this is a great machine.

Incredibly cool equipment that you want to work on all the time! At first, I thought that the caterpillars would damage the lawn. But the fears were in vain.
That's built at my hometown. I remember when the owner of the company put a small block Chevy 400 with a Holley 1150 double pumper carb in a 1974 Chevy Vega. His brother owns the Mattrack company.

I’ve been wanting an Altoz for awhile. I have about 5 acres at my house that’s hilly and 2 acres at my father in laws that’s also hilly that I mow with a wheeled zero turn and let’s just say it can get exciting. Thanks for sharing Mike

That’s how I was when I got my first zero turn it used to take me about three hours on my regular John Deere riding mower , knocked that time down to like half and when I was done I wished I still had more to do
Great mower. Love the demonstration of what the mower does. My only advice as a lawn care guy is always keep an extra set of belts laying around for the deck and drive, but the machine is brand new shouldn't have a problem for awhile.
I actually bought a set of blades, blade bolts and a deck belt when I picked the machine up. You just never know. I remember years ago mowing my yard and sucked a stone up and bent a blade. I had mowed that same spot hundreds of times before and it just came out of nowhere.
Great video Mike! That was funny, it mowed it too fast!! Don't you hate getting equipment like that?! lol!! I think the receiver hitch is a good idea. If you have a small trailer you want to tow, it would be great for that. You sure dirtied her up mowing! Good stuff Mike.

Mike great video . When I was mowing 22 acres each week . I used 2 JD zero turn mowers one with the deck in the front and the other one had a Deck underneath like the one you have . I used the one with deck in front to get closer to the grave stones and the other for larger areas of course I used a weedeater to trim around the stones which I did first . I just spun around and usually mowed that way & Yes they are fast due the zero turn radius Sorry for the paragraph

Nothing comes close to the ride and quality of cut than these mowers and big properties they love. Hey, Mike, you can have two more that are in great shape and low hrs. one with 245 and the other with 155. for the price of one and really get her done.

Mike, nice piece of kit is the same as saying it's a nice machine. It would be very useful on the estate I work on as there are alot of banks I mow

Seeing those cut strips made me wonder if you were running a a WASS line for a minute, but I didn’t see a globe. Great looking machine.
I was in full control of making those straight lines back and forth. Not sure if you can get some sort of guidance for a zero turn mower.

That mower looks sweet, congratulations ! I have a John Deere ZTR that I bought new about 8 years ago and it runs great, the only negative on it was the front tires got constant flats so I replaced my front air tires with solid rubber tires and they absolutely work great. ZTR's can tear up the yard a bit on really tight turns but if you round out the turns its not an issue for me. ---- Looks like maybe you need to put in a piece of Tile drainage pipe in that low area of the yard and run it to the ditch to help keep the yard drained.
Yes on the tile I just bought this property about two years ago and that’s on the list 3 different fields dump into this ditch that runs through my backyard. I already fixed a tile blow out that was here when we bought this place. I’m not sure a new tile will solve this on the big rains but we’ll see

Have been doing lawn care for last 20 years would love a z with tracks. But can’t justify the cost. Good looking machine but no dealership with in 500 miles of me at the moment
If you have wet land I understand. We had them at my local dealer. Priced at 28 K I choked. They sold very little and now sell none. Stopped carrying the brand.
Altoz also builds wheeled machines. Yes these cost a little more money but I feel this machine is built a lot better than a lot of the others. Tracks also perform better on slopes
I mow for a living. Your grass is so thick the tracks don't be an issue except for around the house more than likely. If it is an issue, you just might need to alternate where your tracks run while mowing around the house. Like you might want to push mow along the house so you can move your tracks over 2 ft for a couple mowings. Also alternate your direction and ruts at the end of the passes won't be a big deal. You will only scrape the grass blade off, not the roots.

Does it have LED lights and may want an advanced shoot so u dont have to get off to open and close the shoot ! Overall good looking piece of equipment
If your Kaw 1000 is carbed, it is 35 HP. If EFI, it is 38.5 HP. I have the latter on one of my zero turns. Since there is no choke next to the throttle lever on yours, I am guessing you have the EFI as well. That engine is fly by wire in that there is no throttle cable. It is electronic throttle control. Good on fuel and the most actual certified HP of any mower engine out, including the 40 HP Vanguard.

You mentioned it says not to mow on an incline over 25 degrees. Is there an issue with the tracks coming off if mowing on a stepper incline or is that just a safety rule they put on there. I mow ditch banks stepper than 25 degrees and I'm interested in one of these mowers is why I'm asking.

I think I'm with the last guy. Looks like a terrible ride to me. We just got a new Hustler fastrack 60 with a soft ride suspension seat. Extremely nice.
I won't say it's better or worse... just different. There's definitely a noticeable reduction in small bumps.... but the big ones definitely let you know they're there.

No Deutz and Versatile are two completely different companies. There are several dealers that just happen to carry both lines.

How much does it cost and how much are the replacement tracks when they wear out?
The mower with tracks did cost more than the wheeled version and I'm not sure on replacement tracks and hopefully don't have to worry about that for a while.

I think mostly because a lot of the towns log books were kept near a sink and got waterlogged. 😂
Looks like you need to install some drainage tile.
I'm sure it'd help. I just bought this property about 2 years ago and fixed on spot where a tile blew out. The wet area in this video is where several fields all drain into this area and run through my yard to the creek. So we will have to trench in a main in this area and I have to get with all the landowners that drain into this. It takes time.

Watching you bounce around on that Altoz, I feel sorry for you. You should have gotten something with a nicer ride, like a Ferris or Stihl zero turn that would be way easier on your back.
Well I think this thing rides pretty good. I just got done mowing with it for the second time as I type this. I drove a Ferris and they seem to ride nice but I didn’t think it was night and day compared to my Altoz
