There is a 70% chance the Mother is their only parent. A 14 yo should know better if properly raised. It's a damn shame.
@@crapton9002So? What if she was the only parent? Where's the fathers of these boys? Are you claiming that she has no culpability in this crime? You better hope that wasn't her gun. I'm a single parent of an adult. I was on duty 24/7. No financial help, no physical help. My kid would never have been part of a story like this as she would never be in the position. I had one kid. There's 3 in this house and she was ok leaving them alone, possibly with access to a gun. I'm not willing to give her a free pass. Yet. I will correct this if need be.

@@julesmisty Nope, I'm in your camp on this. Both my parents worked and we had a weapon in the home with us at that age. I was commenting on "parents" after seeing the child.

This isn't an accident, this was negligence by the parents and the child who pulled the trigger

Accidentally shooting…this was an accident waiting to happen because the parents left that gun laying around for the love of God why have a gun laying around…!!!!
We don't know the gun was in the house or if the 14 yr old brought it home. I'm furious about this, but not willing to let mom off the hook or blame the kid until we find out where the gun came from and why 3 kids were home alone. St Petersburg is not what it used to be.
@@julesmisty A 14 yo should be a perfectly capable babysitter for his younger siblings who were not infants or toddlers. Clearly this 14 yo is a F'in idiot.
These days, it's difficult to know if the gun belonged to a parent or was obtained illegally by the 14 year old. Either scenario is possible. Speculation is useless given current lack of info.
