With new vehicles and a map on BeamNG Drive, we naturally have to go racing around a baja circuit. Chaos is guaranteed as visibility is a massive problem and some wacky cars tackle the track.

Just a quick couple of points from me, yes the framerate is a little iffy overall (especially in the first couple of races) nothing we can do about it is the difficulties of running Beam in multiplayer. Before folks ask we cant turn the dust off (or turn particle effects off) there is just no the option to in the game, which is a shame as would make this a whole lot easier on everyones computers
There is a mod that removes them and still allows for you to be in beamMP
Im amazed they actually got a working multiplayer in this game. A bit of frames getting ost here and there is to be expected, im sure they'll find a way to make it run smoother. Also particle options.
If I remember correctly, Alex, you have a wheel and pedals. I strongly recommend giving this a go with the wheel, it's a proper workout.
i doubt the dust is what is making it hard to run, it's probably just that BeamMP has to do more calculations on the velocity when you are moving compared to stading still, it just appears to be the dust since there is always dust when everyone is driving haha, one of the main things that make cars more or less laggy is often how many nodes and beams it has (physics points basicly) so the best thing to do to reduce lag is remove as many parts from the vehicles as possible, like spares and such, and yeah the game does get slower when you reach 20fps and lower haha
@@Olrosse You're right I suspect, dust is not that gfx intensive; it has been in games for twenty years. IMHO devs need to implement simpler physics for non-player cars (easier said than done…)
5:02 That spin and stop side to side was oddly satisfying to watch, so in sync.
Being on a lousy PC makes your car drive slower while racing, that's definitely annoying when the point is to race xD
Just curious, what GPU would be the minimum to actually run the game at, lets say, 30 fps @1080p? Which one's Alex using for his PC?
@@adarshchoudhary1900 tbh you should run a rtx 3050 and no less than 16gb ram
@@norwaynesimon7827 my laptop can play beamp in normal graphics without an issue with up to 10 cars on the map
@@norwaynesimon7827 Thanks! Just to confirm, this is with the mods in this video?
@@adarshchoudhary1900 Steam says the minimum is the gtx 550 but I honestly would say the 1060 would be a better choice, but you'd still need at least 16gb of ddr4 ram
The fact that you can do this in BeamNG now is absolutely insane, I love the way that a race can develop as your car gets hit. Wild stuff.
This was so chaotic to film with all the dust!
I love BeamNG for the damage modelling, racing in this feels so much more realistic.
Looking forward to you racing the Cement Mixer, Battlehawk, Donk and GTR around here. Because putting cars in places they should not be is kind of the theme of this channel.
How did I know Joe would win the drag hopper race, lol. Loved the video 🤣
i am allowed one talent, as a treat
5:07 - Holy toledo, that's some amazing synchronized side-by-side parking - especially with bouncy trucks on laggy Beam.
Yes, i love the BeamNG Multiplayer race videos! It's as real as you can get and it really provokes the "fail" in Failrace. Praying for your computers' RAM Memory cards.
Gotta pray for the CPU with all that vehicle physics. There's like 4 cores just absolutely on fire in there.
I don't even own the game but this is probably one of my favorite updates
The "we got laddo problems!" Got me 🤣🤣🤣
What is kind of impressive is that the multiplayer is a mod
Of course Joe would win the Drag Hopper race
For running that many racers at once, did pretty good.
Oh man I was so hoping to see the new Baja cars!
6:09 yes, that is exactly how you pronounce it. You actually nailed it, good job 😉
It is only fitting that Jo does as well as he does in the drag hopper race. xD
my one skill
We need more DTD with all the new cars and new mods/track
I feel like a multiplayer driven to destruction mini series would be awesome
Imagine a full racing tournament on beam. Its gonna be wild and fun I bet.
15 fps racing is something special alright, maybe not expected in 2022 but here we are :D Not complaining, this game looks really quite good, and will all the dust and particles, and all the deformations and "lost" Body parts FPS will suffer.
game isnt designed for multiplayer.
That was brilliant and interesting racing
love ur vids! very entertaining and funny!
lol I love this game
Hopefully performance can be improved in multiplayer because it is a gorgeous game graphical wise. (And more detailed physics then any other racing game)
Wouldn't be a fail race without a major wreck. LOL
Oo i love some silly Trophy truck racing
The new motorstorm is looking great
12 minutes after release! Keep it up man I love the content
You should try the frog on here you will be surprised. 500kmh on salt lake and much better than I thought on these tracks
Great video
Go Team Pink!!!
Unfortunately the Stambecco has the largest power void known to mankind, even though it looks amazing. Give it an MGU-H to keep the turbo spooled and am extra few thousand RPM, and it would be a monster
Praise Impega, winner of a Beam race
Honestly it's a miracle with how my game runs
I miss driven till destruction a lot
Do you have a date for the new driven till destruction series? Its been so long and its by far my favourite series
10 out of 10
The framerate seems to stretch the field further because the front runners' GPUs are spared from rendering all of the dust from everyone behind, thus get a better framerate and can operate their vehicle more precisely.
Waiting for this let's go
Welcome To MotorStorm
nice
Love this ! U Should do some stuff on gta with the big trucks up mount chiliad !
Before even watching this is all the yes's from me
Suggestion: Jelly vehicles racing on narrow mountain roads
Beam is all about your cpu and what cores you have.
For frame rate, one of the things you can do is check to see if you are limited by CPU or GPU, and adjust accordingly. if your GPU is getting overloaded, turn down some of the rendereding. If it's CPU, you may want to all agree to turn down options or limit choices. It all depends.
Beamng is gonna be the next forza.
Are u going to do a failrace episode?
which map is this? I would like to add it and give it a whirl. thanks!
i have a ryzen 7 1800x and a 3070 ti and i get lag spikes in single player lol
Oh the frames
*Rod bearings are damaged* *Engine is starved of oil* Why am I loosing power?
Dang you fell off
Too much dust!
